You won't have this quest on patch day. Because the highest Renown you have is 40. The patch unlocks the ability to gain higher Renown levels. Happy grinding!

Hi all

I present The Last Sigil Storyline part of Chains of Domination which is the criteria for Breaking the Chains. This Story line have 15 Quests. To start it You need to have 44 Renown.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 Vault of Secrets	Start This Quest from Tal-Galan 63 25 and You need to see Him in 57 29.
2 Vengeance for Korthia	Slay 15 Mawsworn
3 The Knowledge Keepers	Rescue 5 Record Keeper no need key. 3 outside cave 2 inside cave.
4 Let the Anima Flow	Go to cave 60 32 and go down right and kill Xalvez the Collector.
5 Secrets of the Vault	Speak with Tal-Galan to hear the recording
6 The Anima Trail	Follow The Anima Trail ( white orbs ) to the next conduit 34 35.
7 Bone Tools	Collect 50 Anima-Infused Bones from mobs around.
8 Lost Records	Activate Matrix Beacon go to 39 42 console and use next to it Matrix Beacon after that follow Yellow circles on ground to pick up 3 Cracked Record, /way 36 34 /way 37 36 /way 38 40
9 Hooking Over	Travel to the floating island with a hookshot ( wait few sec Bonesmith Heirmir will create them ), then repair the anima conduit 19 39. During fixing slay Xorul the Insatiable.
10 To the Vault	Move to 47 39 and use Flayedwing Transporter to fly to Vault of Secrets.
11 Defending the Vault	Slay mobs until 100%
12 Keepers of Korthia	You need to rescue 3 NPC: Tal-Rahl 44 76, Tal-Yor 43 67 and Tal-Xuhl 56 71. return quets 50 74.
13 Into the Vault	Speak with Tal-Galan You will change location then Slay at the end Xalvez the Collector - From time to time You will get Collected O_o care with Your HP xD. After fight pick Up Sigil of the Primus gold Orb.
14 Untangling the Sigil	Speak with Highlord Bolvar Fordragon then go to Torgast to speak with Runecarver ( where You doing legenday items ) use last conversation option then will be Cinematic. After speak with The Primus to start Fight :D You will get all buffs :D kill mobs until Jailer will grab You xD another Cinematic. Reward Tome of Origins dont forget to use it :D.
15 The Primus Returns	Fly Back to Korthia to speak with The Primus. The Primus will leave echo in Torgast to skill make better legenday items. Finish quest to The Primus when He will get to corner. Reward Memories of Sunless Skies - But on in Maw and Korthia, 1 Renown and 100 Soul Cinders ( You need them for tier 5&6 upgrade for legendary items ).

If you are like me and could not get Tal Galan to offer a quest, it's because the Focusing the Eye storyline must be completed first. I did the initial part with Ve'nari and then logged out before completing it and could not figure out what was missing when I logged back in. I didn't have any quests, or quest items in my bag. If you go back to her in the Maw, there is a Transferral Augmentor on the ground that will take you back to where you need to be so you can begin the Hearing Aid quest.

This may have been asked but does anyone know how to start the Last Sigil chain? is there a prerequisite that needs to be done beforehand?

I have found Tal-Galan but he just gives me quests to do 4 dailys

I have completed Covenant Campaign per the Achievements Quest Log and the first 3 chapters of Chains of Domination. Renown is at 53. I'm stuck because I'm not being offered the "Vault of Secrets" quest from Tal-Galan. Not sure why but is it possible that the Renown has to be 44 as of the last weekly reset? Are there any other requirements?

Done everything required, I've relogged, left the zone and everything else in between and yet this quest will not show up. Not sure if it's a weekly or daily thing but I love
how Blizzard do not explain much about how these quests work in much detail. They seem to love being vague

Back playing WoW, after a 15 year awol. Lots of comments are taking about Renown. What is this, some type of faction? And by doing the dailies I'm making my Renown better, or is there something else I need to do, to increase this stat. Also, how do I find out what my Renown is currently?

If you followed Tal-Galan to Keeper's Respite and did all the unlocking Korthia stuff, can see dailies and everything, and he just shut his fat face and didn't have Vault of Secrets for you, even though you just completed Focusing the Eye that culminated with Good News, Everyone!, It's almost certainly because you did not complete your covenant campaign.

You need Renown to unlock chapters. You get renown from your covenant sanctum for quests like Aiding Ardenweald and Aid the Covenant. This list is not exhaustive; just follow the dailies from your covenant sanctum that have a special appearance. Some will ask you to kill the big purple world quest (that's a weekly, as is the one that sends you into the maw for souls). Some will send you to a random Shadowlands zone (one of the four) to do about four regular world quests. Sometimes they will ask for three Coin of Brokerage and this one would be a doozy except that you can do the Large Lunarlight Pod every day, and from my experience it always has one in it.

Renown is also passively earned by moving through the campaign.

My apologies as this post assumes you are Night Fae. (However, the guide linked for the covenant campaign is easy to change to the other covenants.)

Dear Gawd Shadowlands was not user-friendly. I'm saying that even though it's my personal favourite expansion. It has wonderful flavour, depth, and appeal, and I loved how you get to choose a covenant and do different stuff. But as far as pointing you in the right direction, there's not a helping hand anywhere. There's a disorganised pile of blended cat puke and jinglebells you're given absolutely no help in navigating.
