Loc is 20, 62. They come in waves from the water. Best idea i found was to clear out all the blood elves first then sit and wait for the waves of void critters to come.

They are miny void walkers lvl 5 who move really wast there found south west of Vindicator's Rest at the little lake between th mountains.

2.1.0 Bugged this quest up slightly, some of the Void Critters no longer move, die, or interact with you. However I have found that 2 of them will spawn and function normally around the tree in front of the pond. Most others will not move or interact, but can still be killed for credit.

By the way, the completely bugged ones serve as a fantastic way to raise your weapon skill(s) as they do not die, attack, move, or evade. However do not drown as they are underwater. (lol)

This quest might also have been called "Evading Mobs of the Void", due to the fact that so many of them will bug out and simply evade your attacks. Using my mage on this quest, I figured it would be easy to AoE the packs of critters, but no, most of them would evade. Quest is possible to do, certainly, but not as quickly as it could be done, were it free of bugs.

to balance druids out there going for exodar rep,go underwater and starfall,you kill 12 by going in about halfway into the pool...thats what i did at least :P

Don't get the confused with the void anomalies which can also spawn in the water there. Strangely Quest Helper identified the Anomalies as the mods to kill for this quest. At first I thought the quest was bugged as I was receiving no credit. After killing off all the anomalies, several critters spawned which were the correct quest mob.

Did this today, jumped in the water as a 18 priest and one shot 12 in about a minute, they are all level 3-4 and don't move for the most part until they go to swarm the BEs.

it may be a while before you see them, so wait a bit and be carefull of the lev 18 mob that spawns near the pond. they're so cute i hated to wand them.

I think it was intended to be newbie training for hitting the tab and targetting.
I worked for while with my warrior looking like he was chasing little void chickens around before mastering that.

Kill 12 Void Critters and report to Vindicator Aesom at Blood Watch.

Description

Aesom sent my squad out on a reconnaissance mission to search for the sun gate a few days ago. Needless to say, we found it...

Whatever those fool elves are transporting through that portal is causing void energy to be released. The area is teaming with void critters.

We must destroy them before they have a chance to grow into void anomalies. You'll find the source of the creatures southwest of here, near the sun gate. Kill them and report back to Aesom when you're done.
