This world quest is located on high top of the floating mountain. /way 60.90 27.21
All you have todo is get the balls and throw on the circles by using Special Extra Button.
You can move the ball button to your action bars.

The balls are called Practice Balls and look like glowing golden orbs. Use dragon riding to fly through them in order to pick them up. Then the ball will appear in your character's hand and an Extra Action Button will appear.

The Extra Button needs to be used to throw the ball through one of the rings, i.e. goals, around the area. It seems that the button can be used on the ground but also while dragon riding, as long as you are close enough to the goal. Aiming is fairly forgiving.

Some other points to note:

Flying through a ring while holding a ball does not count as a goal.
Balls do not respawn immediately - it takes a minute or so maybe.
A rings can be used multiple times. You could always use the same one if you wanted to.

There will always be a WQ so %^&*ty it's as if it's never been tested with more than 5 people. This is the one.

The practice balls are shared by everyone else who is doing the quest. So, if there are others doing th quest, good luck pickng up the practice balls.. And you can only carry ONE ball at a time. LOL

Hi all

On This WQ You Need to get 12 point by Throwing ball in to the circle Is like Harry Potter Quidditch but you have more circle to score.

Arena is like Square.

Balls are small glowing orbs They spawn in corners in arena and on middle. Other players can pick ball before You they You need to be faster then others :). When You have a ball get close to circle and use extra bar.

You can score in 9 circles. Middle one is giving 1 point, Side Circle are giving 2 points and in corners top 3 points.

The worst part about this quest is that the "extra action button" that pops up when you pick up a ball, isn't actually THE extra action button. I.e., the hotkey you've mapped to your extra action button doesn't work for throwing the ball. No clue why they did it this way, but it's quite annoying.

I have my Extra Action Button bound to my keyboard, and it doesn't work for this quest.

It's bad that that's not even the most annoying part about this.

If u were stuck on this like I was: u need to actually click on the extra action button and not just press ur keybind. For some reason it gave me the error that I need to be in Eclipse Lake when dismounted and when mounted it just didnt allow me to use it, all got fixed after clicking the button. Click on the goal, and click on the extra button while flying towards that, u pick up orbs by flying through them, goal needs to be in front of u and not too far away. Same goal could be used multiple times but I found it easier just flying around instead of U-turning back to the same one

If it helps you make a macro or something, Throw is the command to throw the Practice Ball after you've picked it up.

If the Extra action button isn't showing up for you or just isn't working, Make a macro
/use throw
Throw it on your dragonriding action bar and it should work fine

The way to finish this is:

1) bind the extra action button to a hotkey. If you don't, it only shows up once you fly near an orb and there is latency so it takes a second to show up and often you are too far away from the orb once it actually shows up. On your action bar it will always show so you can spam click it.

2) Fly VERY slowly and ideally in a small circle whenever you fly close to an orb. The latency issue mentioned above will cause it to say "too far away" or not engage at all if you fly too fast.

Whoever implemented this WQ...yikes.

Ok.. This one's a breeze.. Especially if you've unlocked everything to do with Dragonflight glyphs. Just:

1) Mount up on your Dragonriding Mount.
2) Fly past a ball and you pick it up.
3) Fly near one of the goals and click the extra action button. The ball will go through the goal.

There's no need to aim. Just be near a goal and it'll go in. It's as simple as that.

Tip: disable Elvui (untill it will get updated) as you need to hold the action button, and elvui is preventing that.

Well, I found the quest I will only do once and then never again!
This quest would have been less of a nightmare if it were clearer that one is actually in possession of a ball.
I dragged the button to the bar but the icon remained the same whether I had a ball or not. Sometimes the balls despawned when I got them but sometimes they did not so I was just hoping for the best.
I did notice that I didn't have to make twelve separate shots.
I put most of the shots through the loops on the towers with fire and they scored three points.

I had trouble flying study, but after gitting the ball you can go to the highest tower and land and use the action button to put the ball in goal.

Would have been a fun world quest if there weren't 4 or 5 other people trying to do it and only the first one through the ball get its. Not sure what is with Dragonflight but they seem to love designing world quests that only work if one or two people are in the area and if anymore show up it becomes a pain in the rear to get done. Its a fun concept but it also makes you dread having other players in the area.

It's mostly a quest about preserving your mount's vigor. The islands are a long, long way up in the sky if you run out.

Following someone else's advice, I finally realized you can fly through a ball and then up to one of the four pillars with fire on top. Land, throw it (the throw is not instant). Then glide down to pick up another ball. I think I got 3 points for each throw and finished the quest in a minute. But I was confused for a bulk of it because I didn't realize the throw button doesn't show up until you're near a ring.

No idea why all the hate... this was quite easy and a lot of fun. One trick: DO move the extra action button to your dragonflight bar with a number so you can just approach the goal and hit that number key. Makes this trivial and fun. I just aimed right for the goal and hit the key when almost at it.

Badly broken as of 6/12/23: no action button - even editing the layout didn't make the button appear. Had to create a macro. Ok... but, there is no indication of how many "goals" I've made or how many "points" I get. None. Nada. Zip.

i can't seem to figure this one out, i've tried following the advice of everyone else in the comment section, i do get the fireworks animation when i "score" a goal, tried the ones up above, relogged, and i'm the only person here yet somehow i continue to have 0/12 goals scored.

This quest does not work AT ALL. I can pick up the ball but nothing happens when I try to shoot. Tried everything in the comments. It' a time sink, shame on you blizz

I'm in the quest area but nothing there. Guess it could be another one of Blizzards' conflict of quests in conflict, but it's frustrating. Flew around, landing, killing, searching for nothing. Annoying AF.
