These drops from the Destructive Flames mobs, not the small Ashen Sparks. Nameplates currently marks the Ashen Sparks as a source, but they only drop 1 star quality.

While on the quest, Destructive Flames dropped the 3-star Fiery Spirit over 90% of the time.
While the Ashen Sparks dropped mainly 2-Star but also 3-Star about every 3rd kill.

After I collected the required number but before handing in the quest, I was able to continue farming more Fiery Spirit, however, as soon as I handed in the quest, all of them were removed from my inventory.

I completed the quest and went back to check the drop rate and after spending about 15 minutes killing more Flames and Sparks I got 0 Fiery Spirit.

If this quest is bugged for you when picking up one of the 3 star Fiery Spirits, the quest text pops up with "Fiery Spirit 0/3". Even after collecting all 3 the quest will not complete and still says 0/3. Reloading or relogging will not fix the issue.

To fix it you need to abandon the quest and go pick it up again. You will lose the Fiery Spirit's you picked up, but then it should work when you go back and pick them up again.

Couldn't complete this quest until I completed/abandoned any "Artisan's Supply" quest, even tho the quest log didn't update correctly I could talk to the NPC and complete the quest

Ashen Spark and Destructive Flames both dropped 3 Star quality Fiery Spirit for me while completing this quest. The Ashen Sparks will also drop lower quality fiery spirits as well.

The quest does show 0/3 despite having the items, but is IS doable or at least it was for me. Just return back to Thomas when you have the 3 in your inventory and you should be able to turn it in.

A Gift for Miguel quest item Fiery Spirit drop from the Destructive Flames elementals. If you are struggling with fighting two mobs at one, you can crowd control the Primalist Magmashaper.

As of 12-2-22, if you are having trouble moving on from the "Ask Miguel about X" dialogue part of the quest, it may be the Immersion addon blocking progress. I could not get that step to complete so could not turn in the reagents. Disabling Immersion temporarily fixed the problem and I could complete the quest with no further issues.

I found you can safely skip this quest and not have it impact your professions at all.

In order for this quest to show up, you need to talk to Haephesta first and accept her quest Artisan's Courier . You can find her right next to the flight master in Ruby Life Pools.

This is the second gushing "I wuv my husband!" NPC I've encountered in the Ruby Lifeshrine in under 5 minutes.

And the third, ever since I arrived in the Dragon Isles.

And not one of them were angrily whacking a Drust over the head with a bouquet.

Quest chain:

1. Artisan's Courier - Start From Haephesta /way #2022 57.93 68.22 Haephesta/ You need to see Thomas Bright /way #2022 60.22 72.16
2. A Gift for Miguel - First speak with quest giver, then Fly /way #2022 68.79 64.48, and slay Fire elementals to loot 3 Fiery Spirit.
3. To Give One's Heart - Open any Crafting profession and make Miguel's Gift. Then Speak with quest giver and take gift to Miguel Bright.
4A. Professionally Equipped - Speak with Mahra Treebender /way #2022 61.43 70.14 Mahra Treebender/ ( I pick 1-4-2-7-1 ) then wait 10 sec to finish quest.
4B. That's My Specialty - Speak with quest giver ( I pick 1-4-2 ) if you cant speak with him just moveout from him and back can be buged. When You finish This Quest The Wonders of the World will up.
6. The Wonders of the World - Speak with Thomas Bright /way #2022 60.22 72.16, Then Fly to /way #2023 46.13 59.90, and press on Strange Nest then wait few sec to finish quest. YOu will get Dragon Shard of Knowledge and Ancient Scrap of Draconic Wisdom.
7. The Master of Their Craft - Speak with Khadin /way #2023 52.11 33.53 cave enter Khadin/
8. A Worthy Hunt - Slay Thousandmile walking around /way #2023 50.18 36.67 Thousandmile

After This Story line You will get Khadin's Wisdom and 3 Dragon Shard of Knowledge. Dragon Shard of Knowledge You can exchange at Khadin /way #2023 52.11 33.53 cave enter Khadin/ You will get 50 Artisan's Mettle and 1 Dragon Isles ( depending on the profession ) Knowledge and 50 rep. for Artisan's Consortium - Dragon Isles Branch.
