Can't lure the Air, or Fire proto-drakes. Gives an "invalid target" when I try and use the lure.

For each dragon there is a specific field.
Have a look at the drangons and their elements.
You can move while channeling the beam and move the dragons into the fields.

Sooooo you left the area before finishing the quest because your queue popped or whatever, and now the map isn't telling you where you need to be. The entry hall is at 55, 55 in Thaldraxxus on the western slope of Tyr Hold, about halfway down the cliffs, just north of where the highest level of the aqueduct that flows to Valdrakken steps down to its next level. The platform for this quest is just inside the door on the left. Just step on it.

There are 4 portal like things on the floor, they are the containment fields. When you cursor over one it will tell you, earth, fire, air or frost I(ice). Tag a hovering drake, it will be one of these elements. Use the extra button to lure it and pull it to the corresponding containment field. Repeat 3 more times. If you cannot tag/lure the drake move around, until you can lure it. Actually very easy once you know the mechanics.

I might seem trivial, but are the other 2 aspect sample that are locked in the middle sphere? Also there are 6 eggs on the walls that are locked. are there 2 more aspect that we havent seen yet? Specially since it was mentioned in the hall of aspects that the dragon fought undead...

When trapping the storm proto dragin, tyr says that the wind gusts that it can create do not create an opposing force on the caster which implies the process is magical, not mechanical. So this just showed that Newton's 3rd law exists in WoW but does not apply to magic. Fascinating.

Also the the implication from the frost proto dragon that these creatures can attune themselves to any element or energy. With all the lore around cosmic forces/energies this may have interesting implications for future expansions which explore these forces further.

I can't be the only one to encounter this issue but I've found no other comments about it.

I had immense trouble dragging the proto drakes back to their zones, they kept "disconnecting" and porting back to their starting point. I could not find a definite pattern as to why they'd disconnect. The only possibilities I found was that if you stop moving it disconnects maybe? Also I dismissed my battle pet that was following me around (Lil' Ragnaros) and it immediately worked, but I also kept moving that attempt so it could be either. I unfortunately don't have a definitive answer but I hope this helped someone! <3

If you're wondering why this quest isn't working or you can't find the lure, make sure you're in the right hall. The transporters in the main hallway are different one is to the aspect chamber and the other to the Hall of Samples. DO aspect section first, THEN this one, I had no issues with anything not working.

Using speed buff will cancel the lure.

It wasn't really apparently what you were meant to do after this finished...

Take the portal out, then the portal on the other side. Toddy will be in the new vault with a follow on quest.

Description
