It appears this quest is a reference to the song, You'll Never Walk Alone, by Gerry and the Pacemakers. A song synonymous with the Liverpool Football Club. Although the quest text does not directly quote the song lyrics, the song references Golden Skies, going through storms, and of course the melody 'You'll never walk alone.'

As do many in England, Tomiix assumes, because Gerry and the Pacemakers had a #1 hit with the song, You'll Never Walk Alone, in 1963, that they wrote it. But Strigina is correct. The song is from the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel, which was made into a movie in 1956. The protagonist dies robbing a bank to get money for his pregnant wife. His ghost sings this song to her and sings it as he watches over his daughter as she grows up. When the daughter graduates from high school, the school principal says that these classmates will always have each other for emotional support throughout their lives, and asks them to sing this song, which they do, thus freeing the father's ghost to leave Earth for Heaven. The WoW devs are great at this sort of connection. Clearly this song resonates with Shadowlands, and particularly with Bastion.

The Liverpool FC fans took it up in the '60 to affirm that the players could rely on the fans' support. In 1990 at the Nelson Mandela: An International Tribute for a Free South Africa concert at Wembley Stadium, London, the audience spontaneously broke out into a mass rendition. Mandela turned to Adelaide Tambo who accompanied him onto the stage and asked what the song was. She replied, "A football song". No! It was the audience's way of affirming that they would always support Mandela.

This song is from Carousel and was even sung by Man City fans waaaay before Liverpool or Celtic.
