Rougly saying.

The absolute best strategy to defeat all pets, if you don't have a large roster or are new to pet battles, is to use an entire team of level one pets, as these pet world quests scale with your pet's level. When the pet is scaled to your level at level one, it loses most of its abilities and difficulty.

Had issues finding a dragon team as part of the Deathly Dragonkin achievement !

Yu'la, broodwing of Yu'lon 1-2-2
Thunderscale whelpling 2-2-2
Infinite whelpling 2-1-2

Yu'la casts "Celestia blessing" twice in a row then "Life exchange", "Breath" and dies. In case RNG has it dead before it can use "Life exchange", better give it another try.
Thunderscale whelpling casts "Zap" then "Thunderbolt". First opponent dies.
On the second one, cast "Call lightning" then "Zap" twice. Spider dies.
Whelpling can cast "Zap" once more on the last opponent before it dies.
Infinite whelpling casts "Darkflame", "Sleeping gas" then whatever is available to end it! In my case I managed to put him asleep on first case so I could cast it once more but I would have healed it with Healing flame otherwise.

Nasty fight to completeCreepy Critters !

The team I got worked out despite of moderate / high RNG.

Dust Bunny 2-2-1 (ideally faster than the spider which means it should have more than 333 speed, any rabbit having less than 318 would definitely not work out) ;
Giant Woodworm 1-2-1
Blackchasm Crawler 1-1-2 (any battle pet with "Slime" might do, such as other snails, but make sure to pick one with at least 220 speed).

Rabbit starts with "Flurry" then "Dodge", "Flurry" again, "Burrow" and "Flurry" once more. Depending on how it looks like, finish with a last "Flurry" or cast "Dodge" just before. From my experience and depending on RNG and breeds, the rabbit would get a kill once out of three attempts. Indeed depending on RNG, the rabbit would hit 2 or 3 times with "Flurry" while the opponent would hit 1 or 2 times, not to mention critical hits from both sides.

Once the rabbit faces the spider with a few HP left, cast "Dodge" if available (and provided it is faster than the spider as stated above) and use "Flurry" or "Burrow". Rabbit dies while the spider casts "Swarm" which has a 4 turns CD (it does matter).

Woodworm arrives and casts "Barkskin", "Skitter" then "Unstable shield". In case the rabbit did not die because of "Swarm", make sure your Woodworm casts "Barkskin" and "Unstable shield" just before the spider uses it again. Main idea is to have the spider crash on that shield. Once she did, go on with "Skitter" until Woodworm dies.

Blackchasm comes in and finish the spider using "Slime". Facing the last opponent, go on with "Acidic goo", "Call darkness", "Slime" again then whatever is available, hoping the weather would not have affect you (it did happen to me once during that fight, so frustrating).

Tried it 10 times approximatively and worked out 3 times, not that great but feel free to suggest a better team :-)

I had success with the following all Flying team, although it took quite a few attempts:

Mechanical Axebeak: 1-2-1
Skywisp Moth: 1-1-2
Gilnean Raven: 2-2-1

Strategy:

Decoy > 3x Alpha Strike > Haywire should kill first pet.
Use Axebeak abilities on CD until it dies.
Bring in Skywisp moth and use Cocoon Strike + Slicing Wind until 2nd pet is below 630 health. Then use Call Lightning. 2nd pet will die.
Swap to Gilnean Raven: Call Darkness > Nocturnal Strike. This will reduce his healing. I got a 2nd Nocturnal Strike off before my Raven died.
Swap back to Skywisp Moth and use Call Lightning, Cocoon Strike on CD, and fill with Slicing Wind. This should finish him off.

Managed to get the Unholy Undead progress from Eyegor for Abhorrent Adversaries of the Afterlife.

The pets I used were:
Blightbreath H/P X/2/2
Unborn Val'kyr H/H X/2/1
Macabre Marionette H/P 2/2/1

Started with Blightbreath, and just killed Boneclaw with Toxic Smoke. When he went into death phase, I stunned Spindler.
I used the Doom/Haunt on Rocko, then used Siphon Life followed by Dead Man's Party to finish him off.
On Spindler, it doesn't really matter what you do before the death phase, but on his death phase, you do need to hit him with 1 more Dead Man's Party before he does die, so you Valk can finish him off with basic attacks.

Mechanical Strat: Fairly reliable with 90% +- success rate. Attempted 10 matches with 1 fail when Rocko crit Iron Starlette with bodyslam and 1 win that happened early due to Iron Starlette crushing Rocko in 1 shot before Menagerie Custodian had a chance to join the battle. Matches lasted between 10-12 total rounds so it's fairly quick.

Level 25 pets used and it is important if you will also be attempting Battle in the Shadowlands Ach which requires a full team of level 25 pets to complete.

Undead Strat: Very reliable with RNG only prolonging the battle however most battles finished in 16 rounds in testing.

Level 25 pets used and it is important if you will also be attempting Battle in the Shadowlands Ach which requires a full team of level 25 pets to complete.

I went with a simple level 1 strategy.

Darkmoon Tonk

Blood Boil

With all levels squished to one, the biggest obstacle for me was Boneclaw who could hit 2-3 times per move and that included RNG based crits. Fortunately, the tonk was sturdy enough to tank a few crits and managed to to bring it to near zero health before going down. The fact that mechanicals come back to life was a big plus here. Even with Boneclaw going off first, Mini Zep was able to drop it on the first turn. After that, it was an easy road downhill with both Splindler and Rocko doing minuscule damage and my Blood boil eventually sweeping the entire match with 90% hp left.

PS: As of writing this post, pet battles do count for covenant dailies like questing with a follower. An easy way to get it done if you don't wanna ride all over the map.

Start with Direbeak, keep Iron Skin on, Falcosaur Swarm and Predatory Strike on CD. He takes out the first pet and most of second.
For Ikky, Black Claw + Flock. Try to get the debuff off on Rocko
To finish up Rocko, Call Darkness + Nocturnal Strike

I have nothing constructive to say other than I tried with Aquatic pets and I have yet to succeed over several hours. This fight is horribly difficult. If you have an aquatic team that worked for you, please write up your strategy.

If you are just trying to get the world quest done as easily as possible, USE LEVEL ONE PETS.

My own specific combination was:
Lil Bling
Pocket Reaver
Damplight Slug (upgraded to Rare quality with a Battle Stone)

As a bonus, all three of the pets I chose can be bought on the auction house.

I tried several level 25 pet combos with no luck, but as soon as I went for level 1's, I got it easy peasy.
I believe the simplest combination is two Mechanical pets with one Undead pet last. However, it is more important that the first (and only) move for the first two pets be Mechanical, and the move for the last pet should be Undead. The pet type doesn't matter as much (within reason).

I used 3 max-level hatchlings for the Flickering Fliers achieve - I've run it through numerous times with some variation depending upon when your pets die (I’ve listed the various scenarios I’ve encountered) so it SHOULD be fairly stable… SHOULD be:

If this happens, you’re really just better of resetting the fight. It just throws things off too much and, even if you can make it work, you’d spend more time than if you just reset & run it again. You really just need your Direbeak Hatchling to make it to at least the first round of the Rocko fight.
Use Predatory Strike - Spindler dies

Rocko Fight:

If your Direbeak Hatchling is close to death, hit a Falcosaur Swarm! & skip to the Sharptalon Hatchling rotation below. If it’s still around half health, Pass this round.
Use Ironskin
Use Falcosaur Swarm! – if your Direbeak Hatchling dies, skip to the Sharptalon Hatchling rotation below.
If Direbeak Hatchling doesn’t die immediately, it will get off one more round of Falcosaur Swarm! before it dies (then start the Sharptalon Hatchling rotation)
Sharptalon Hatchling rotation begins – start by casting Rip:

Use Predatory Strike

If you manage to get one last Rip off before your Sharptalon Hatchling dies, start your Snowfeather Hatchling rotation with Predatory Strike, which will probably kill Rocko. If it doesn’t kill Rocko, just cast Falcosaur Swarm! to finish the battle.
If you DID NOT manage to get one last Rip off before your Sharptalon Hatchling died, you’ll have a little more work to do. Start your Snowfeather Hatchling rotation with Crouch.
Use Falcosaur Swarm!
Falcosaur Swarm! continues - Rocko may die during this time. If not, you’ll probably just need to hit one last Predatory Strike to finish the fight.

The only real major issue, as with any encounter involving RNG, will be getting hit by a ton of unusually unlucky damage & losing your Direbeak Hatchling before the Rocko fight. Rocko is where pretty much all of the real challenge & variability comes into play because of the crazy damage & healing done. I've also encountered an issue lately(as of 2/21/21) where Rocko suddenly pops off 3 heals that will take him from clinging to life to completely full. This is a recent issue & I'm unsure if it's a bug, or just really terrible luck. Either way, as noted above, if your Direbeak Hatchling dies early thanks to bad RNG, just save yourself some time & reset. So long as your Direbeak Hatchling survives until at least the first round of the Rocko fight, it should be a win (unless you get the triple heal middle finger from blizz).

Type/attack-type recommendations, incl best for level 1.
First pet (Boneclaw) - you want Flying type pet and/or Mechanical-type attacks. Best of both: None I can find. Recommend a flyer because enemy attack does way more damage if he goes first. Need more than 13 speed for him, and with a flyer to make him trivial.
2nd pet (Spindler) - same as above. You want Flying type pet and/or Mechanical-type attacks. Best of both: None I can find.
3rd pet (Rocko) - you want Critter-type pet and/or Undead-type attacks. Best of both: Wriggler, Bloodlouse Larva, Void-Scarred Rat, Damplight Slug

after trying many strategies and failing due to RNG,
I finally switched to ALL LEVEL 1 pets.

this is easier because Rocky can't heal....he can now only throw rocks at you.

So if you have a level 1 undead pet where their attack heals them, that's all you need. it takes a while, but it's much easier.

Iron Starlette: Wind-up, Supercharge, Wind-up (Bone-claw usually dies here), but if not Toxic Smoke.

Spindler usually kills Starlette with first attack, but if RNG likes you, you'll get a Toxic Smoke off before.

If not Wild Jade Hatchling: Tail Swipe (if Bone-claw isn't dead), Lightning Storm, Lift Off, Tail Swipe.

Rocko will usually kill Hatchling with first move, then Ghostly Skull: Siphon Life, Death Coil, Death Coil, Death Coil, Spectral Strike, Death Coil until dead.

With level 1 pets I used Ancona Chicken, Brilliant Kaliri, and Void-Scarred Rat. Without having the appropriate level 25 pets available using 2 pets that fly and one critter pet is the best combination. Also, if you have level 1 flying pets that have an ability in their level 1 slot that have increased damage versus beasts and your critter pet has an ability in its level 1 slot with increased damage versus humanoids then you're in good shape. I didn't have any of the undead pets with the necessary abilities, so I culled together a team from 3 different strategies. I got it to work with this team (all level 25):

1. Lil Bling
2. Iron Starlette
3 Gilnean Raven, using Call Darkness, Nocturnal Strike and Alpha Strike.

Ended the fight with plenty of health left on the Raven.

After reading a few of the comments and seeing which pets I actually owned, I managed to win this on the first attempt!

My team:

Lil Bling 2,1,1
Iron Starlet 1,1,1
Stitched Pup 1,1,1

Bling did Make It Rain then Inflation, at the end of which the first pet was down. Bling didn't manage another attack though, so in came the Starlet.
Starlet did Wind Up, Supercharge, WInd Up and destroyed the spider. Also managed Wind Up, Wind Up again and a Powerball before being defeated.
In came the Pup. The last pet kept on healing. I didn't Consume Corpse but kept to the other two attacks and blew the last pet away after about four or five rounds with about half the Pup's health remaining.

Thanks to the previous posters for recommending the pets they did, made my battle easy. :-D

Haunted Humanoids

This fight is a lot of RNG - It will likely take a few tries. You will need to adjust your strategy for crits etc. If you do not kill Boneclaw with Anubisath Idol, reset. If you do not kill Spinder with Hogs, reset. It sucks, but there is no way you will kill Rocko if Sister of Tempation is under full health. Its a very close fight, but this team got me Haunted Humanoids achievement.

Firebat pretty much solod the first two of Eyegor's pets, Rocko was no match for the Bloodlouse Larva so second one might be open to preference. However, even with level 1 pets this fight was disgustingly RNG dependent.

These 2 teams did it relatively easy.

Iron Starlette (1,2,1), G0-R41-ON Ultratonk (2,2,1) and Fire-Proof Roach (1,2,2). Bring Roach out cast Apocalypse, switch to Starlette, kill first pet, when Starlette dies, switch to Ultratonk, kill second pet. And then Roach just needs to survive 2 rounds. Easy.

Iron Starlette (1,2,1), I used Feathers (2,2,1) but pretty sure the Ultratonk would work here too, then Bloodbrood Whelplin (2,1,1) made quick work of Rocko...only had to Drain Blood once.

Why it took me so long to find these combos is beyond me?

Level 1 pets:
1) Mechanical Axebeak (Flying). Rare quality by default.
2) Firebat Pup (Flying). Rare quality by default.
3) Plaguelouse Larva (Critter) or Bloodlouse Larva (Critter). My Plaguelouse Larva was still at the base Uncommon quality.

Fight Notes: I swapped Mechanical Axebeak out when he neared 50% health as a precaution because speed is the key with Boneclaw, but the wasted turn was probably unnecessary. Firebat Pup finished off Boneclaw then took out Spindler. Plaguelouse Larva killed Rocko in about 3 hits. Mechanical Axebeak and Plaguelouse Larva both survived with approximately 50% health left.

Strategy in case you don't have the above pets:
1) Opponent #1: Boneclaw (Beast). At level 1: 171 health, 15 power, 13 speed, Thrash ability (Beast)

Flying pets take reduced damage from Boneclaw's Beast attack.
Flying pets get +50% speed when above 50% health, so they surpass Boneclaw's 13 speed, which reduces the number of hits Boneclaw gets each turn.
If you don't have Mechanical Axebeak: choose any Flying pet with a level 1 ability that does decent damage and has no cooldown. Look for these bonus traits if available: (A) a Mechanical attack ability, which does extra damage to Beasts; (B) Speed 14 so when the flying pet drops below 50% health, it will still exceed Boneclaw's speed; otherwise speed 13 so the first attacker is random; and/or (C) High health to keep the Flying buff longer + a level 1 attack ability that does not rely on speed to do extra damage.

2) Opponent #2: Spindler (Beast). At level 1: 190 health, 11 power, 13 speed, Brittle Webbing ability (Beast)

Spindler's level 1 Brittle Webbing (beast) ability causes your pet to take 5 beast damage each time they attack. Flying pets take reduced damage from this.
Flying pets get +50% speed when above 50% health, so they also surpass Spindler's 13 speed for most of the fight.
If you don't have Firebat Pup: choose any Flying pet with a level 1 ability that does decent damage in a single hit and has no cooldown. Bonus traits are the same as for Boneclaw.

3) Opponent #3: Rocko (Humanoid). At level 1: 206 health, 13 power, 9 speed, Stone Shot ability (Elemental)

Rocko's level 1 ability is Stone Shot (Elemental). Critters take reduced damage from Elemental abilities.
Bloodlouse Larva and Plaguelouse Larva both have Infected Claw (undead) as their level 1 ability, which does improved damage against Humanoids.
If you don't have Bloodlouse Larva or Plaguelouse Larva: choose any Critter pet with a level 1 Undead ability that does decent damage and has no cooldown, and at least 10 speed. Rocko hits hard, so prioritize high health and/or damage over additional speed.

There are 2 level 1 methods for easy wins... strong attacks against enemy, or enemy's attacks weak against you.

Weak against you method:
Pet 1 : any flying (attack not weak against beast)
Pet 2 : any flying (attack not weak against beast)
Pet 3 : any beast (attack not weak against humanoid)

Strong against enemy method :
Pet 1 : any non-humanoid with attack bonus vs beast (often mechanical)
Pet 2 : any non-humanoid with attack bonus vs beast (often mechanical)
Pet 3 : any non-dragonkin with attack bonus vs humanoid (often undead)

Prioritizing your fastest pets first helps. I find the weak against method more consistently reliable, except during vs undead matches because of their res.

I cycle all my alts when I see these daily's pop up. Sometimes I have to switch methods as the 3rd pet levels... but with the battle-stone I can promote a poor, common or uncommon of whatever class I need to get more stones.

nightmare lasher 1,1,1

Corgi - flamethrower, puppies of the flame, flamethrower, cauterize, flamethrower until you can cauterize, or corgi dies. Should kill boneclaw and get a hit or two on the spider.
Razortooth - Lightning shield, rip, blood in the water, rip until razortooth dies. Might not kill Spindler, but the bleed plus a lash should do it.
Lasher - Call darkness, nightmare, lash until rocko dies. Spindler got a hit on the lasher, Rocko hit once, then got 0 heals and died to lash.

Flickering Fliers

Mechanical axebeak (If you have 2, this is cake) 1,2,1
Crow 1,2,2 (any fliers with call darkness and nocturnal strike work, I used the ones with highest health)
Dread hatchling 2,1,1

Axebeak - decoy, haywire, alpha strike until you can haywire again. Takes out boneclaw and some health off the spider.
If you have a second axebeak, repeat. I don't, so...
Crow - darkness, nocturnal strike, peck as filler until you can nocturnal strike again. If you can get another darkness off, great.
Dread hatchling - Same pattern.
There is RNG here, so it might take a couple tries.

I tried a lot of different comps, this is one of the most difficult pet battles I have done in a long time purely because of the last pet healing ridicolously much. That said I don't have that many lvl 25s but prolly like 15 or so maybe more than some and less than many.

Ended up with beating him going first Stormborne Whelping starting out 2-1-1 using 2 ability first, then 3rd, spamming 1st. I ended up critting with the call lightning which prolly helped a lot.

Got a good chunk from the second pet with the whelpling then swapped to Lil bling. Origionally I started to use extra plating but found it to be useless as attack was the best defense so I went for 2-2-1, opening with 3rd ability and spamming 1 til mob dies, then you get 1-2 waves on the next mob if you're lucky.

My last pet which was the most important one was actually one I have never used which is only lvl 23 and called Blackchasm crawler, 1-2-2, use call of darkness when available which reduces healing done by 50%, I dont think I actually used shell armor in the last try and I spammed slime.

I think I tried this comp 2 times, first time with crawler using absorb instead of slime, which I think could have worked in the last try, it seems that the stormwhelpling crit of call lightning was a major factor in the win and having 1 extra wave from the Lil bling hitting the next mob (or surviving for a close blow). I think also Lil Bling had 1 or 2 big crits too which is of course rng.

If you're just here looking to set up your own team and need to know his lineup, its:

Beast, Beast, Humanoid. The gargoyle (humanoid) pet has a large heal! This can make the fight precarious. My lineup I squeaked it out with (all level 25), since I have a limited pool of pets, was -

Lil XT, Lil Bling, and Wicker Pup. Lil XT should open by breaking his heart, then throw a tantrum, to get both beasts on the team before he goes down. A full cycle of tantrum should be possible, and will kill the dog/first pet.
