After searching around various places in Ardenweald, I found that you have to search in the spot at 48,53 on the map. It's the location on the east side of the Heart of the Forest, just on the right side of the ramp. Good luck! It's just to the west of the Refugee Camp flight path. It was my experience that I found the Valuable Salvage about 80% of the searches.

Is there anyway to make the salvage easier to see? I get that it sparkles, but for those of us with any eye issues, even that isn't enough to make it "pop" on some of these ground colors. :(

So far Hibernal Hollow in the SE (60,53) is looking to be my go-to spot for Chordy Ardenweald Adventure Time! No aggro, flat and expansive, and not much ground clutter.

Make sure to track the quest and then stand in the circle shown on the map. Then press the "Lucky Nose" ability (it's probably somewhere in your action bar by now) and Chordy will (some times) find you some shinies.

Such a funny quest.

Several times he didnt start to search.
Then he ran over the half map without any result.
When he find anything, it spawns often on unreachable highs, where he jumps on.
When he find anything reachable, it did not count by 50%.
And even if all this things didnt came true you can finally loot a quest item.

Best place to quickly farm this quest and quests of this type is to find a wide, open space (So that Chordy can't pathfind somewhere you can't go) with little enemies (So that you don't need to deal with them)
Hibernal Hollow, Tirna Vaal or Heart of the Forest work very well.

But you can get the Valuable Salvage anywhere.

Easy and quickly done: I started in the middle of the spiral/circle just SW of the flight master in Heart of the Forest (48,54). Bound the "Lucky Nose" ability to a key, dismissed pet and stayed mounted throughout. Every time I opened a Salvage I ran back to the middle before setting Chordy off again. This way he did not go climbing or give me any other problems. I also had about 80% success on openings, as someone else said here. Done in 3 minutes, biggest annoyance was waiting for the 15 sec cooldown. Good luck!

You can do this while Mounted
Best spot to 48.53 for the ardenweld quest. because its flat and open and no enemy npc
the button if you lost it on your bars is a Compass Rose icon

TLDR: Drop the quest,, it is ugly :/

Edit: it seems they fixed those quests now that you can just dig next to where the quest shows in the map.

I'm not sure if this works for everyone, but I had the best luck getting the nodes to show up if I stood perfectly still while Chordy ran around. Previously I had been running after him and maybe 75% of the time no node would spawn, but I was getting nodes 100% of the time when I stood still.

Best spot I found is on the bridge 50 57. Arden I am talking I finished this quest in 5 minutes (15 second cool down mind you)
Between each press of the button make sure you travel between Northern and southern "regions" of the bridge (IE Shimmerbough and Path of Rebirth pops up on the screen). If you stand in the middle, he will run into the other zone "most of the time" and also being on the bridge, no mobs to bother with, short run because it is 2 pathes.

Something I noticed about this is that I was finding 80% relics every button press. The only non quest related items were greens not grays funnily enough.

Can't see the special button?

Tried relogging, abandoning quest and resummoning Chordy, but none of those worked. I found 2 solutions. If you switch specs the special button might show up. The other solution is create a macro using "/cast Lucky Nose" and it works fine.

To make salvage easier to see, input this into the command line or Paste:
/run SetCVar("graphicsGroundClutter",1)
/run SetCVar("Contrast", 100)

And to revert to Blizzard defaults:
/run SetCVar("graphicsGroundClutter",6)
/run SetCVar("Contrast", 50)

Chordy should change his name to the more technically correct "Mob-pack-magnet 2000" - If there's a pack of red bars anywhere near you, guess where's he'd going to find a shiny. And you only get one guess.

Honestly i wouldnt bother picking this quest up, Ever.

I just looted 17 greys and some anime-touched-weapon-fragments. I got 0 valuable salvage.
The drop chance is so low that it actually hurts. Just skip this one, do yourself the favour.

If you stand still while he looks for the bags they spawn almost 100% of the time also if no one noticed you can do it all while mounted.

I'm on the quest and I'm repeatedly trying to summon chordy, he's not appearing with no error message. Trying on 2 separate necrolord characters.

One of the worst quests in the game.
I started this quest at 5 o'clock sharp, at 5:15 I still have zero out of 10 because Chordy will either not find anything or it will find an item that won't give credit after clicking it.
A quest that should take 5 minutes tops takes 45 minutes on average simply because it's bugging out to the max.
Terrible.

Ok, from what I gathered here and my own experience, this works the best:
be right in front of the night fae covenant sanctum entrance, stand in the middle of the spiral circle
use the action button, wait for Chordy to find the valuable item and then go collect it
return back to the circle and repeat
stay on a ground mount the entire time.

Like the top comment, standing still led to the vast majority of them spawning, compared to following Chordy and basically none spawning.
Also, I found that a good place to do it is around 49,43 with its nice flat area and lack of hostile mobs.
