He is outside, and not in the crypt. Location is a little bit more to the west from where it is shown

Soloed with a 59 guardian druid. Barkskin, ironfurs and frenzy regen will see you thru this. Try to dodge the blood balls.

The turn in for this is Foreman Scug and he is below the Stonevigil Overlook area with all the hostile NPC's and inside a building within Feeder's Thicket below.

Looking at the map, there is a small path going South-West at coords 60,68 leading to the quest marker. This is what you should focus on getting to him.

Anyone without coords or further help - It's the short path below the A and R in Darkhaven on your map going South-West.

I forgot where I picked this quest up so had a hard time finding him again.

There has to be some kind of trick to this guy. He hits way too hard for a leveling quest.

I'm guessing there's a bug and all the dredgers that are hitting him with rocks are actually supposed to help in some way.

Just managed to solo him as a level 59 disc priest.

Heavy use of psychic scream, fade and shining force. Kite him keeping shadow word: pain up at all times and use penance and power word: solace when possible. Run from the red but as he's coming towards you after casting try to hit him with heavier spells. Power word: shield on cooldown and don't forget to heal yourself with shadow mend and desperate prayer. I was able to use shadowfiend twice.

group quest but managed to solo with a 59 destro lock and a voidwalker, altho gotta make sure he doesnt walk too far off because he leashed a few times :S

Soloed with guardian druid.
i start attack him when Salvage Dredger throw stones at him.
and i think i can tank him, and this mobs can deal damage.

Blizz has either changed something or it's extremely bugged. Myself with a lvl51 demon hunter, a lvl56 pally and a lvl 51 rogue could not take this guy down. He does most of your damage in a couple hits and for some reason he takes way reduced damage at about 50% or so. If that isn't insulting enough, sometimes he'll just run away and reset, even though you're right in the middle of combat with him. There is never anyone doing this quest to get in group finder and for some reason when you go to list it, the group finder just bugs out and erases all the info and won't actually allow you to list anything. At this point in the expansion, I would say skip this, it's not worth putting up with the deaths and blizz's own incompetence to actually make a quest that not only works, but one that can be finished.
