Juvenile Cloudfeather has good drop rate. And are easier to kill.

Like 30% droprate.
They should either increase it to a 100%, or drop the required number of loot. Really annoying having to clear the entire area multiple times.

They drop only from the Juveniles and yes ... you came here because the drop rate is atrocious

Definitely a badly designed quest. Even if you're lucky enough to have no one doing it at the same time you'll still need to wait for several respawns to complete the quest.

Why make a quest that's impossible to complete with the mobs available?

Another pointless kill quest with poor drop rate, that only infuriates for no good reason than to drag things out. Poor drop rate, less then 20% in my experience and you can go periods without mobs to kill even if there are no other players around, thats how bad the drop rate is.

Providing for the Pack

Use a targetting macro:
/tar Juvenile Cloudfeather

Note that being specific to full name avoids "stray" targetting of other mobs in the area. After targetting , you will be able to see the targetted one in the minimap and will know which way to go to find it.

Not only is the Cloudfeather Essence drop rate adequate and exclusive to the Juvenile Cloudfeathers, they most often run around in groups! Target one and then use an AoE attack (e.g. multi-shot for hunters).

I present Pride or Unit Storyline. Full Storyline have 16 quests. This is a part of Sojourner of Bastion.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 Success Without Soul	Quest take from Koros in The Eternal Hall Bastion 43 41. You need to fly to Pelodis 54 41
2 Phalynx Malfunction	You need to find Gatamatos He is located on 54 43 and return him to 55 41. You can do this quest together with Resource Drain.
3 Resource Drain	Use Anima Drainer on 5 Gilded Cloudstrider. Do it before fight.
4 We Can Rebuild Him	"First press on Gatamatos 55 41 then go to 54 40. To rebuild you will need: - 3 Forgefire Engineer - 1 Anima Barrel - 5 Reinforced Armor All you can find next to forge. Then you need do 5 Reinforced Armor by pressing on them. then speak with Pelodis"
5 Combat Drills	First press on Gatamatos 55 41 then go to Hall of Beasts 55 42 enterence. Then kill 8 mobs inside. Do this quest together with Laser Location and Superior Programming
6 Laser Location	First press on Gatamatos 55 41 then go to Hall of Beasts 55 42 enterence. Then use spell on Extra Bar when close to gem ( small on ground inside cave ) Gatamatos will get Training Gem you need 6 of them.
7 Superior Programming	Go to Hall of Beasts 55 42 enterence and slay Leonid after enter on left side.
8 Tactical Formation	In main was 1 mid 2 mid 3 back one. then put Gatamatos back to his place.
9 Antiquated Methodology	Go to Nemea 57 39
10 Part of the Pride	Press on 5 Tamed Larion they are around.
11 All Natural Chews	Get 5 Cloudstrider Antler by killing Gilded Cloudstrider. This quest You can do together with Larion at Large
12 Larion at Large	Find Andira and follow Her until able to press on is after return to Nemea 57 39.
13 With Lance and Larion	Slay 5 Cloudfeather Greatwing but Before attack use on them Nemea's Javelin. You can do this quest together with Providing for the Pack.
14 Providing for the Pack	Get 10 Cloudfeather Essence is drop from Juvenile Cloudfeather.
15 On Larion Wings	Jump on Andira and fly thru 10 blue circles.
16 Pride or Unit	Go to 55 39 and pick between Pelodis or Nemea Storyline is finish but After that You can Fly to The Eternal Hall Bastion 43 41 and get new adwenturer ( is depend what did You pick ).

If you picked up this quest before checking out Hero's Rest, head over and interact with the Wanted Scroll hanging up there first. It gives the quest WANTED: Darkwing to kill an elite mob in the middle of this area. It's a LFG quest, but there are so many people coming through to kill it right now that it isn't hard to tag while doing Nemea's quests. The drop rate on the Cloudfeather Essence for Providing for the Pack isn't great (as others have noted) so at least you'll have something to do if you end up having to wait in an LFG queue for it.

Description

Even beings of the Shadowlands need to eat. They may not do so quite like your world, but it is similar enough. The pride's favorite prey is the juvenile cloudfeathers found nearby. Prove to Andira that you are a contributing member of the pride by taking her out to hunt for their next meal.
