If you find one rare, you can camp the same rare and receive credit for each kill.

We still dont know much about the rare spwan timers etc etc, BUT you can do this group in a raid. Many groups up useally hunting rares 20-40 ppl.

Quest seems to be bugged at the moment. I have killed 10+ rares in Mechagon and havent got credit from single one of them.

edit: did further testing. killed 2 more rares and no credit. left the mechagon area, relogged and came back. next rare kill gave credit.

If you're having trouble getting to rares before they die, there are seven rares that need drill rigs to open their caves, and these are announced one minute in advance, along with the drill rig code e.g. DR-CC61.

These rares are:
Gorged Gear-Cruncher, Caustic Mechaslime, The Kleptoboss, Boilburn, Gemicide, Ol' Big Tusk & Earthbreaker Gulroc

Simple icons
Star means you can still kill and loot the rare.
Check mark means you have already looted this rare for the phase and have to wait for the reset to kill it again.
Red mark means the rare is not available yet (these will show up during your faction's Patrol phase only).
You can view the stars on the Mechagon map or the pop-up list from anywhere

This Weakaura automatically creates tomtom waypoints based on a rare yell in mechagon. It will *only* work with bosses which announce their presence in chat!

Not sure if intended or not but killing rares in future mechagon DOES NOT count towards the quest for some reason, don't waste your time going there.
