To get there, from Stormwind take the portal to Azsuna, then fly to Garden of the Moon in Val'sharah.

She is inside the building on top of the mountain, with the entrance at /way 52.7, 56.4. No need to fly around down below searching for her as I may or may not have done for 10 minutes.

You must accept the quest offered, "Don't Close Your Eyes" after killing the 20 mobs and collecting 5 of the Emerald Shards, in order to get the last two Emerald Shards; they are available in the new annex after waking Thessera & Verdisa.

This quest is given by Kalecgos in Silithus. You cannot skip him and go to Merithra of the Dream directly, else she will have no interactive quest for you.

Also make sure you have completed the quest Magni gives after this the "Back Out to Sea" one as Mother won't offer you the quest until you've done the next bits in Naz too. I mention this because people will be getting heart level 54 now before doing Harnessing Power, and expecting to get this one for Rank 2 right after, but you don't.

If you have NO quests pertaining to this and nobody has a quest for you inside the Forge, Naz, etc. You might have started the quests in the Emerald Dreamway and then left. This will leave you with no where to continue unless you go accept the quest "Don't Close your eyes" inside the Emerald Dream. The way to get back inside is to fly to Valsharah and click on Merithra the Dream and ask her to port inside. You will find the quest to start inside!

In Darkness, I Dream starts a short sequence of quests in the Emerald Dreamway. Worth doing just for the visuals. If you want more on the Emerald Dream read the WoW novel, Stormrage by Richard Knaak about Malfurion Stormrage, twin brother of Illidan Stormrage.

After much frustration running, yes running because I can't FLY in Legion because I didn't PLAY in Legion.
I finally found the turn-in!

If you are map challenged (as I am) and your reading comprehension skills diminish over time (long day)... you will find the turn in for this quest to the left side of the building inside a portico type space.

I'm just disappointed with the story telling here. We start with The Crucible of Flame, from what I understood, lore-wise, it's given to us as a remnant of might of a black dragon flight. It's direct connection isn't Neltharion himself, but something that pre-dates him. Anyway... it is the essence, or maybe just a spark of black dragonflight power, reshaped for us so we might empower our HoA.

Now, as we move on, we are greeted by a blue dragon flight leader, Kalecgos and he has important matters for us to attend to. Whatever his business are. *unsure*

We end up going to Emerald Dream, which is green dragonflight domain and are presented to Ysera's daughter problems with the void, overtaking her land and making her flight succumbing to it. I have no problem with that, but nothing has a connection here, nor at any point during the following quests was it explained why different dragonflights were in connection. *confused*

As I think of it, wouldn't it be better if the power from it had some deeper roots to... actual flame? There's only one place that fits the lore what I have in mind. Fiery heart of the mountain, once home of black dragonflight prince Nefarian: Blackwing Lair. It should be there where we fight someone and grant access to something. Do I overlook things, is it me? Or is it really messy.

It seems the 8.3 Horrific Vision quest line has broken the acquisition of this quest. If you complete the 8.3 quests to unlock your Horrific Visions (thus phasing the Chamber with Wrathion etc.), there's no one to talk to in the Chamber of Heart, no quest in Val'sharah, and no obvious indication of how to upgrade Crucible of Flame at this point.

After much frustration and following the guides on how to see if I had dropped the quest chain at some point in time, I found out that even in patch 9.0.2 your Heart of Azeroth must still be at rank 54 in order to see Kalecgos in the Chamber of the Heart.

If you don't see Kalecgos or the quest in the map or quest log then you had the same problem I had. Just go on over to Merithra in Valsharah. I submitted a ticket to GM hopefully they fix this. I had this quest for years but there was no indicator for me to know.

Just a quick add-on to the comments here. She is located BEHIND the statue/waterfall thingy, on the left-hand side facing it. I ran around for a stupid amount of time before I found the entrance to the alcove.

Meet Merithra at the Temple of Elune in Val'sharah.

Description

The green dragonflight calls for aid. The Emerald Dream, which they have watched over for eons, has been invaded by terrible creatures of the Void. Merithra of the Dream is attempting to combat the threat, but she cannot do so alone. If you seek to empower the Heart of Azeroth with the strength of the green dragonflight, you must first help Merithra save it. Meet her at the Temple of Elune in Val'sharah, and assist her however you can.
