You don't reach the inner sanctum from behind the chapel.
Don't go in the crypt near the mountains like i did.
Enter the chapel, keep your mouse over the floor tiles and the bright spot that forms a small cross,
the cursor will show you can interact with the floor and it will give way to the stairs to the basement.

In case you abandoned the quest by mistake, you can pick it up again in front of the chapel.

1. We Meet at Light's Hope
• Accept the quest, We Meet at Light's Hope, from Lord Maxwell Tyrosus at coords 20.4, 61.4 (Hope's End at the Broken Shore).
• Use your Dalaran Hearthstone to get back to Dalaran.
• Head to the center of Dalaran, and step on the transporter at 49.1, 47.8.
• Go southwest, down the corridor and steps to 29, 76.
• Click the Portal to Dalaran Crater.
• Travel northeast, to Light's Hope Chapel, in Eastern Plaguelands at coords 75.2, 52.9.
• Enter the chapel and click the Secret Door.
• Follow the passageways through the Sanctum of Light to coords 63.1, 37.8.
• Turn in the quest to Lord Maxwell Tyrosus.

Description

We must put Highlord Tirion to rest.

There is but one place suitable for a paladin of his caliber... Light's Hope Sanctum, a secret bastion of the Light hidden beneath our chapel.

Paladins the world over will join us for the ceremony. I know Tirion would want you there most of all.
