If you can't find Nat Pagle to give you this quest, going into the bank just south of the fountain seems to force him to spawn right on you.

Try not to die doing this quest.

I died, and was then unable to reach my corpse as the island that the quest takes place on seems to be surrounded by invisible walls. In addition, the 'graveyard' then my spirit spawned at had no Spirit Healer, so was unable to rez and have had to raise a ticket.

Hopefully this is just a rare bug and not something that happens to anyone who dies on it!

Finish up fishing the pools of Gloaming Frenzy after you have completed because I got the Stunned, Angry Shark after, who after I killed dropped the Seabottom Squid which will act as "artifact power" for my newly acquired fishing pole artifact. Strangely enough, I also got another Luminous Pearl to start the quest... Happy hunting!

Edit: It does not look like saved up rare fish turn into artifact power. They stay as fishing skill ups if you got them before the pole. Not sure if they are supposed to convert or not?

If you're lucky, you can fish up lures from the Frenzied Fish pools. I just fished up a Stunned, Angry Shark during the scenario.

Don't fish up your Frenzies before you kill all the murlocs, it will bug out the quest.

After completed the last quest, instead of return to Dalaran i decide to fish the last pool of Frienzed Fish left in the middle lake and get the Luminous Pearl again. I continue fishing and fished some Silver Mackerel Black Barracuda. Nothing special. And also there is a cave near the lake and at the end there is a Hydra. Its attacks can be dangerous if you are low geared. Nothing droped but a junk.

Kill everything first them fish the pools. Take notice where the bubbling water area is as you have to find Nate there, not at his boat once you fish the pools.

If you were like me and you fished all the pools, then killed everyone, a couple of the pools will respawn for you after you kill everything. You need to fish a couple to get Nat to accept the fish from you. The rest of the quest will continue fine for you.

Patch 7.1.5 This is a straightforward quest. Nat will transport you to the island. There is NO timer, so take your time.
Kill all the Murlocs (stage one). The Murlocs do NOT respawn. Just try to draw them out as few as possible. Watch out for picking up the normally neutral crabs and turtles in your attacks.
Stage two is to fish up the glowing frenzys. Have a way to quickly switch between fishing pole and artifact as underlight defenders will be fished up as well, usually dropping a frenzy fish.
Stage three is to talk to Nat who is clearly marked on the map. He will tell you to fish the bubbles. Again, you will have to fish and fight afterwards.
Once dead, wait for Nat to finish carving up the murloc and the boat to Daralan will appear. Click on the boat to get back to the fountain in Daralan. Turn in the quest

Nat Pagle is a beast. Basically says, I want to fish this lake so "Kill everything that might get in our way, 'cause Murlocs don't fish (shout out to Apocalypse Now).

Don’t repeat my mistakes - do not run the scenario while in a raid group. This can happen if you decided to become friends with Conjurer Margoss, run a raid on his pool of Drowned Mana, went for the Bigger Fish to Fry, fished up the Luminous Pearl and then straight for the scenario, completely forgetting about being in a raid all this time. I had to do this twice and even opened a ticket, which I cancelled when I realised I was in a raid :)

Flight is disabled in the special instanced island you're sent to for this quest. This instance is not just Val'Sharah; it is separate from it. It has its own zoomed-in map and an invisible barrier around the island in the waters, keeping you from venturing into an empty Broken Isles.

While they did disable flight with mounts, somebody cut a corner somewhere in the process and forgot to disable flight all together. Monks can still fly by using Zen Flight. I have found no success in using this to escape the instance barriers into the surrounding Val'Sharah. The barrier extends to the highest flight limit, unfortunately. Do post reply here if you have managed to escape the prison.

I can't seem to find a definitive answer on this, but do you have to be Level 110 for the Pearl to drop?

The quest item and the quest itself indicate a minimum level of 98 is needed, but my 102 DH has "Bigger Fish to Fry" and 800 fishing , and I have been fishing for probably 400+ casts, both in and out of pools, and nothing.

Do I have reaaaaaalllllly bad RNG luck, or do I just need to get to 110?

For those wondering, you only need to get your LEGION fishing up to do this now. Took me a lot of searching to figure this out.

Has anyone been able to start this quest since the Shadowlands pre-expansion patch (9.0.1)? I have a character who achieved Bigger Fish to Fry yesterday and have been wandering around the southern corner of Dalaran (between the Dalaran Merchant’s Bank and Marcia Chase) but there’s been no sign of Nat Pagle (nor Nat Pagle).

If you are completing this in a later expansion and tend to ignore low level mob kills, loot the murlocs for the fish, then fish in the schools.
