In MoP, you will be able to get valor points by doing dailies. The 25 daily quest cap will be removed, and there will be hundreds of new dailies to do. Now you won't have to farm it by doing dungeons anymore, if you prefer doing dailies instead.

You will find the hives as stated by adavis (56.41) thats just across the small stream north of the quest giver. Stand under the large one. I could not click on the item in my bags, had to use the quest tracker. But it worked just fine, simple enough to kill, sprays some stuff around that hurts a little and slows ya down. Clothies may want to avoid it more than others. But its a simple kill.

You will have 2 items Golden Honey and Honeycomb. Don't get confused, use first one mentioned under the big hive

Not finding it an easy kill. I'm a level 90 fire mage, geared in a mix of contenders and dreadfuls. Died three times, once with a little help from an a-hole alliance who ganked me when I was at 10% health and almost had the Wasp. I use my regular tricks: pyroblast when active or the mob is cc'd with dragon's breath or frost nova, using blink when available. Alternating Fireball, scorch, inferno blast. Any suggestions?

Bull%^&* this is an easy kill. I'm L90 goddamn prot warrior iLvl 444 and this thing is ripping me a new ^&*!@#$.

Best get a buddy or a guildie and do this one together.

You have to hit him with magic. You can't melee him because he stays up too high to hit. I did manage to kill him with my paladin, but it would be hard for a rogue or a warrior to kill.

It doesn't work to set the bait, then fly up to the nearby ledge. The wasp remains out of reach.

I'm getting the impression this is not a quest for a melee toon.

The quest text mentions several already stung students, and at the hive there are three corpses - it seems that the stings were deadly :-(

Ok killing the thing is easy, but It's not giving me the credit for it. Why am I not getting credit for killing the damn thing?

Use the honey at the northern clearing in The Arboretum, and then kill the Orchard Needler.

Description

The Arboretum is our home, a safe haven where we raise young hatchlings and train our students.

Unfortunately, there are other, more dangerous creatures who wish to make this their home as well.

To the north, beyond the river, we have seen a great wasp feeding on the nectar blossoms.

This creature has already stung several of our students.

Use this honey to lure the wasp out of hiding. Then, destroy it before it harms anyone else.
