I must be doing something wrong. I have tried this quest now multiple times and the most I've gotten this guy down to is 30%. Yet there are no comments here about others having issues. Am I missing something? The quest text doesn't say anything about any help.

Same question. My fury warrior can get him to around 30% but no further. Is the Klaxxi Buff something that we should be utilizing in some way?

Yeah, hard work! Got there in the end as a lvl 89 Frost Mage. Used mirror image, stayed out of his way while my doppelgangers hit him and hit him while standing out of his way, used Ice Barrier a lot, and life spirit to stop myself dying at the end. It was a close call each time, and I died 3 times before I finally got him.

I am a level 89 Pandaren Monk and I just can't get past first base with this guy. I have already done this quest twice with my two Night Elf Feral Druids without much trouble but the Monk can't seem to move out of the way fast enough and gets stunned then killed. I have spent so much gold repairing but still to no avail. I would just drop the quest but apparently no other quests will show up in Dread Wastes until I complete this one. I am so close to lvl 90 (76%) but I don't want to grind my way there as I miss out on good gear that helps increase my health. Does anyone out there have any hints on how to complete this quest? I am becoming desperate.

I had a tough time killing this mob as a 89 ret pally, died first attempt.
I concentrated on using my interrupts to stop his main attack which was doing 45k every hit, this did the trick for me.

If you are having trouble with this NPC, make sure you interrupt his Call of Death ability.

On a side note, this mantid is wearing a Hozen mask for some reason.

After knowing what you do about the NPC who gives you this quest later on... I wonder if Klaxxi'vess really did want this guy taken out or not.

Level 89 feral druid here. I appreciated the comments written and took them to heart upon going after this guy. I simply hit him first with Nurong's Gun trinket, did my stun CC's on him and kited him around passing through him each time. He went down easier than I thought he would.

Perhaps they have nerfed him as I'm not well geared and by no means an expert. Of note, he didn't fear me more than once. Your mileage may vary.

For us melee's kiting him seemed to work for me. Good luck!

Level 89 Ret Pally. I seemed to be having the same problems many of you were. Running away was a bad idea--died every time. The first time he tried casting Call of Death, I used Arcane Torrent. He didn't try casting it again for a few rounds, which gave me enough time to knock his health down below 50%. I cast Lay on Hands, which kept my health high enough to beat him before he could beat me. Hope that helps someone!

I keep killing him with my 89 guardian druid but every time I do the quest isn't acknowledging him as being killed. I've kille dhim 4 times now and it's the same each time

This is yet another one of those quests where some classes have an advantage and please don't throw L2P around; we're beyond that now. Tried this guy three times with my Fury Warrior, following all the advice below. Most helpful was clearing the area so when he fears you into other mobs, they're already dead. Don't loot them or they'll respawn immediately.

After about 20,000G in repairs, I abandoned the whole Klaxxi quest line because it just doesn't make sense. By the time you get to 90 and go to the Isle, none of that stuff is high enough to waste time on. Besides, we all know there are class differences now that plate has no more effect with most high-level NPCs than a brightly-colored Speedo. So instead of losing the chance to do the Klaxxi tango, why not run a parallel series? Is it that so hard for the guys in Irvine?

Just because I was wondering about it, I went back with my well-geared Afflock and surprise! Killed him in about 40 seconds. Oh wait, it wasn't a surprise to anyone?

Hi everyone, bear with me here, I appreciate your patience and suggestions. I've done A Cry From Darkness, did the initial quests in Soggy's Gamble but now there are no more quests. I thought there were dailies to do for Anglers rep there but there is nothing. I went back to Klaxxi'vess to see if I missed any quests but only dailies are there from 4 npc's. So what did I miss, how do I unlock the dailies at Soggy's Gamble? Thanks in advance for your help.

The Klaxxi hear another paragon to the north, among the sha-scorched roots of Kypari Vor.

This one cries out in terror and agony. It cannot be saved.
