As you feed Korven the Prime each of the nine pieces of living amber, he tells you a bit of history:

Ah yes. One does not forget the taste of amber.
Back when the world was still young, the first kypari trees bloomed.
From the trees, the amber flowed and nurtured us. Kyparite, we called it, the lifeblood of the earth.
It healed our wounds and made us bold. It tasted like sweetness and fire, and gave us strength to conquer all the lesser races.
Many were the threats to our race after the usurpers remade the world. Narrow was the path ahead.
It was I who suggested our greatest warriors be cast in amber to sleep, to be awakened at the swarm's greatest times of need.
It was the sleep from which one could never awake. A great risk. A great sacrifice. But necessary.
Thus, I was the first Paragon. This is why, I am the Prime.
And now, the Klaxxi call us to battle. Now, I am awakened.

For those of you with a dilemma on if you're supposed to feed him 8 or 9 living ambers, 9 is the correct answer.

There is a typo in the quest.

It says to collect 8 Living Amber, however to complete the quest requires 9.

You can right click the amber really quickly and feed 2-3 to him at once while only consuming 1 item

Does any of the dialouge feel like it's a nod to Transformers? Especially the last few lines?

If you encounter a bug where you try to loot the ambers and it'll say "already in use", then simple log out for five minutes, restart your game and come back.

And a cool little trick to feed him more ambers faster is to spam left click on the item if you have more than one, you can do two at a time. Nothing big, just a cool little trick.

I was not particularly thrilled about feeding this enormous insect. I feel we could've simply given him the amber and avoided the nightmares.

I can sense a vast quantity of fossilized amber as it is Amber is Fossilized Tree Resin, so this is a bit redundant, just figured I'd be that guy and point it out.

Description

Liquid amber is most efficient for restoring a newly awakened paragon's strength, and is usually provided at a wakening ceremony.

Unfortunately, it seems you did not receive these instructions, so we shall have to improvise.

I can sense a vast quantity of fossilized amber in the lake below us. It will serve, but I am too weak to dig it up myself.

Do this for me, and I will see to it that you are rewarded.
