These are the mobs that are to be killed in the quest Fire From the Sky and in it's daily version Fire From the Sky (Daily).

However, the special thing about these mobs, is the fact that they give loot (reliable way to farm Cata greens, since they spawn in packs) if you actually go out there and beat them to death, which is actually quite easy to do with a level 90 character.

They wander at Maker's Ascent in packs of 9 and are accompanied by a single Schnotzz Elite Infantryman.

As part of Blizzards new policy to impede the acquisition of gold these mobs no longer drop green items and the amount of gold that they drop has also been greatly reduced.

Even though it is not listed here, you can pickpocket these mobs for Loaded Gnomish Dice and it's a very efficient spot to do so as well.

Quick guide for farming Schnottz Infantrymen in search of Loaded Gnomish Dice:

Handy talents:
Shadowstep - Increases mobility.

Handy glyphs:
Glyph of Pick Lock - You'll get a handful of junkboxes during each pass. I opened them because of the respawn timer of the mobs - may as well make some extra cash.
Glyph of Pick Pocket - Always useful for pickpocketing; makes it easier to reach all the mobs in the middle of the pack.

Handy macros:
Picks the pocket of the mob that your cursor is hovering over:

Strategy:
Schnottz Infantrymen have short patrols in 3x3 squares plus one elite at one side of the group at Maker's Ascent in Uldum. I would start by sapping the elite in order to make the group stand still. I would then proceed to pick the pockets of the three units that are in the front of the group (facing forward in the direction of their patrol), then I Shadowstep to the middle mob in the back row. From there, you can reach the middle three mobs (this is where Glyph of Pick Pocket is useful) and the back row of mobs. Don't forget to pick pocket the elite first if he's in the front of the pack or after Shadowstepping to the back. I then killed off the pack and moved on. Spam your lock pick macro to loot all your junk boxes for some extra cash after your route. (Optionally, at this point you can hop servers while the mobs on your server are respawning since they have a rather long respawn timer for this. Be courteous, though; other people may be farming this, so if you notice dead mobs or mobs that have been pick pocketed already, find another server.)

Getting used to the mouseover macros takes a little bit of time, but they are well worth it. I find that in packs of this size, it helps to have enemy nameplates turned off to use the macros effectively.

Wowhead is probably wrong about the Loaded Gnomish Dice being a drop from killing the Infantrymen. After thousands of kills I started concentrating on pickpocketing instead and got the dice in under an hour.
