Be carefull when you kill these guys. They do Arcane Blast wich can kick you off the platform. Have your back against the "pillars" when you fight them. (I got kicked from one platform to another so found out the hard way.)

This game is really silly at times, getting knocked off a platform by an npc, but Im sure my knockbabck would only make them float down.

As of Patch ~~3.0.3~~ 3.0.8, these mobs have no purpose. They spawn in clusters around large crystals on floating platforms in groups of four. While channeling the crystal (which they will be until you engage them) they will not aggro you, but WILL place you in combat, preventing you from mounting and leaving the platform.

These mobs have a knockback ability which they use in melee range. Should you be knocked out of melee range by the knockback but not thrown off the platform (as you usually will be), they will slow you.

These humanoids respawn fairly quickly but have no notable drops other than a small amount a silver.

As I have recently learned, bringing your friends with you to fight these mobs is very fun. The ability to pull as many or as few as you want, as well as the addtional platforms, makes this area designed for knockback-y fun.

Same here,I was battling at the edge so i could first heal myself then pwn em one at a time....it hurted
EDIT:These mobs are practicly impossable to kill,they will arcane blast you at some point and cannot be spellstealed,somtimes they dont attack till you do and then arcane blast you instantly,theyre &*!@ offs

For Mages:
We have the easiest time killing these... try Fire Spec or if you can kill it fast enough, Arcane with Improved Counterspell. Anyways...

They have sort of a broken way of aggroing you, I took advantage of that and landed basically on one, silenced him with Counterspell, and used my fire attacks to keep him stunned. (Counterspell, Attacked until I got a Fire Blast stun, then dragon's breath and blast wave)

If you get blasted, Slow fall yourself and enjoy being sent flying across half the zone.

There are 4 pads on which you can land and fight these mobs. Three of the ones with the crystal hanging in the air are the easiest. Land in the circle under the crystal, the mobs will not attack and attack the mobs straight on. When they kick you back you will land in the center of the circle again. Maintain a head on approach. Only one mob will attack at a time. The pad at the northwest has a crystal in the center of it. Land on the edge here and if you are a rogue you can stealth, but you can't stealth on the other 3, when you attack one all 3 will come at you. The pad is patrolled on the edge by an azure scalebane (dragon looking thing) and he will also attack if he gets close enough to you. The main thing here is to down the mobs as soon as you can or get your back to the crystal as they will knock you off the pad. I used killing spree on my rogue and got 2 down then just keep fighting until you have the rest. Note: if you try to get the scalbane first they will all attack you. Also regardless of where you are they will kick you to the edge even if you are in the middle, or worse over the edge.

These guys seem to have been nerfed and are not good for farming.

I killed 12 of these guys and got two drops of 1 piece of fw

You can get right in these guys' faces and they won't do anything, but you will enter combat. They only attack if you do. Plus, as others have stated above, the knockback they have is nothing to laugh at; they will knock you off the platform if you're near the edge.
