It's worth noting that these can't be killed, they stop taking damage at 1% health.. So avoid them while stealing flames.

Some tips:

Use the map of these NPCs, to find the bonfires and to find the NPC that give out 5x ;) You need them all if you want the cool rewards! :D

NB: You can use Wowwiki and check their map over all the bonfires! Outland, Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdom!

If it's possible to kite these to other cities during the festival, one may stop an entire side from using all or most of their merchants...

I observed an 80 beating up the supplier when it stopped at 1 hp. The fact that he took the Darnassus Flame and got on the ship with it following him occured to me as being funny. He put his pet on passive and the merchant went back after a while...

For those of you who have a thing to settle with either faction, kiting these can really annoy people :)

I have to note here that Sandals of Summer , Vestment of Summer and Mantle of the Fire Festival can't be refunded for their initial cost, so you will have to kiss those 400 Burning Blossom goodbye. I just tried to refund them, immediately after purchasing those, but the merchant simply didn;t want them.

Spending Burning Blossoms

Items that can be purchased during The Midsummer Fire Festival are available from a Midsummer Merchant (Horde) or Midsummer Supplier (Alliance). These holiday vendors are present in every capital city, and can be found at the Midsummer Pavilions (orange gazebos). All of the available items require Burning Blossoms to purchase.

Below is a list of the items available from the Midsummer Merchant/Midsummer Supplier. The cost of each item is listed; the "Temp" (Temporary) column indicates whether the item is of limited duration (i.e. will disappear after Midsummer Fire Festival is over). The BoP column notes whether it is Bind-on-pickup or not (Consumed on use or learned on use if not). Items that are not temporary and not BoP can be auctioned, mailed or traded.

As of this writing (6-21-17) the first day of the 2017 Fire Festal, the following items supplied by this vendor; Vestment of Summer, Sandals of Summer, and Mantle of the Fire Festival are all now "cosmetic" and may be transmogged by all armor classes (plate, cloth, leather, mail...)

Sadly, it seems the holiday items such as these will only be "moggable" during their respective holiday events.

Confirmed. The event is now over.
This item and all related holiday items were not only removed from my wardrobe once the event was over, they were removed from my active mog.

Sadly, that means no transmogrifying heirlooms to enjoy this mog year round)

As of 2019 - You can now purchase all four required pieces of the Midsummer Set from Midsummer Merchant or Midsummer Supplier for Achievement Burning Hot Pole Dance and refund your Burning Blossom currency once your Achievement is complete.

As of the 2022 Midsummer event, they moved the SW vendor and can no longer be found next to the bon fire. Instead, the Midsummer Supplier can be found under a red tent at /way 47.55, 72.1 Midsummer Supplier

Items below and a lot of cosmetic items are now transmoggable even when the holiday event is not active since this patch; Patch for Holiday Items

As of June 24, 2025, the Midsummer Supplier is at 47.49 72.20. This is the same place the mounts that are offered from the Trading Post are displayed.
