Hunter of the Deep is located in the Ohn'ahran Plains zone.

General Respawn Info
Only part of Dragonflight rares are active during a single daily reset.
Most of the time you will be able to find only small part of all zone rares and they will respawn after kill in relatively short time.
But after daily reset they will disappear and a new pack of rares will be active.
So most of the time you will come to the spot and see nothing there. At least this way it was on Beta

Rare is a part of Adventurer of the Ohn'ahran Plains achievement.

Located at 80.54 42.22 in Ohn'ahran Plains.

There will be some glowing fish in the water when he is summonable. Click on the weapon rack, shoot the fish. When all fish are eliminated, the boss will spawn.

Dropped supplies and a Centaur Hunting Trophy

Solo'd with a lvl 67 Vengence DH.

Not sure if this is just bugged or just terribly designed, can never tell in this game anymore.

There are about 10+ glowing fish pools when you start this. When these pools are up, I'm assuming that means the Rare is available.

All you have to do is click the rack and then use the spear (your action bar will change and you can't move).

Sounds easy right?

Unfortunately there is no indication of the health of a pool or whether you've hit it or not. A pool will just disappear at some point, so I assume you either hit it enough? Or maybe just hit it correctly? no way to tell.

I sat there for a good 15 minutes trying to hit them, got about half of the pools to disappear. But some I could just sit there hitting for 5 minutes and it wouldn't go away. Finally just gave up.

After fighting with the last few schools of this thing for more than ten minutes, I climbed up on the rock to the left of the weapon rack. From there I aimed just behind each of the 3 pools that refused to go down (the ones in the rear) and it took one spear each. If you are doing what I did and spamming the button only to watch the fish ignore you, give it a whirl.

This rare spawn is an incredible pain. After trying different positions as recommended by other commenters, I tried maybe doing a top-down view. I oriented my camera as if I were peering down at the water from the sky and shot downward. Was able to get the last 3 stubborn pools in one shot. Not sure if this is the mechanism to do this or if I was lucky, but give it a try and hopefully it will be helpful. Good luck!

I'm not sure if this is bugged, but found this active today, used the weapon rack and shot at the glowing fish until they were all gone. The weapon rack disappeared but nothing spawned.

I attempted this rare on shandris. I aimed and shot each poo; which cause then do disappear and the weapon rack to disapear. After waiting 15 min, the rare never appeared. Very disappointed \.
