How can my Blood Elf Hunter tame it? The only way into the valley is to die and when I find the Spirit Healer there and try to rez it pops me up at Azure Watch! I've got a sneaky suspicion that they don't want us baddies in the valley! Is there not another way in other than the mountain pass with all the high lvl gaurds?

Hi Wiltleaf. You could try to res-run over there. Run as far as you can until you die, then run to your body and resurrect as far from the guards as possible and continue running away until you get killed. Repeat until you can respawn out of their agro range. Remember to take off your gear before trying this though. Could turn out a bit expensive if you don't.

The lvl 14-16 Royal Blue Flutters can now be tamed! However, the Vale Moth, while not as striking, is subtly lovely. I find that it really picks up the background colors where ever you go, so its color can appear to change dramatically.

The blue ones will be much easier for Horde to find though.

If you are a Horde under level 20 and want this pet it CAN be done, although it is an epic journey to do.

Buy some (at least 2 or 3) swim speed potions (level 10) - and run from Orgrimmar to Darkshore (yes I ran all the way to Zoram'Gar Outpost in Ashenvale (remember to pick up your flight points on the way).

West and slightly north of Lor'Danel in Darkshore is the last light point of water on your map. That is where you look for the land of Rut'theran Village and try to set your video settings to see the furthest in the distance. You are aiming for the light area in the water.

This is a little tricky and takes timing - take your first swim speed potion when you hit the dark point in the water (the Veiled Sea) and your fatigue counter starts. Hopefully you will get enough area behind you to see the light area ahead of you and get another swim speed potion to get there. If not, you can water walk there when you are dead (like I did) then grab your swim speed potion and get to the light area of the water and finally arrive there.

Get to the land, eat and get your health up, then take the the west dock (jump on the rock and climb on the dock to avoid the guards) and get on the boat and get to Azuremyst Isle. If you are careful you shouldn't aggro the guards on the boat.

On the map (when you are on Azuremyst Isle) you are aiming for the little island on the other side of where you landed - east side of the map. That is where the moths are. This is where the many deaths happen. You will be able to cross the big island without difficulty assuming you are level 10, however, once you try to get past the guards on the path to the starting zone, well - that is harder.

They will kill you. What you do is run to your body and go as far as you can forward until you can't rez, step back and rez (they will kill you again) but you will make slow progress. (I made it in only 4 deaths! yay! lol) Eventually you will be past the guards and get your moth and be able to hearth out.

It only took me 4 days to figure this method out because I am so stubborn about wanting this moth! Ah well. I hope someone else can benefit and enjoy.

Vale Moth are located almost everywhere in Ammen Vale.
They are only level 1, non-hostile but attackable, making easy kills and leveling until lvl 7.
This is a unique skin, so you can expect an occasional Horde Hunter in the area looking to tame one. But the moths are so plentiful, they should not cause you a problem at all.

There is a quest to obtain10 Vial of Moth Blood. Most players will go to the large spawn area just to the northwest of the quest hub (49, 30) that the Wowhead map shows. If you find multiple people already there, you can easily find more just south of there (42, 39). Basically, anywhere you see the large purple crystals will have moths except for the Nestlewood Hills area.

They do not drop any money, but they do tend to drop a lot of Torn Moth Wing and Broken Antenna.
