5.2 PTR: Season 13 Weapons, Faction-Specific 3D Models
There are now PvP vendors on the
latest PTR build
who sell all Season 13 gear for free in your Pandaria capital city. This includes Season 13 weapons, which we haven't previewed before!
The Season 13 weapons are ilvl 493 and have unique colors for both factions. Right now, only the Alliance vendor sells weapons, but if you change factions, you'll get the Horde equivalent. There are also additional datamined ilvl 513 elite weapons (purchasable after accumulating 27,000
) with recolored models.
Many weapons follow blue and red color schemes, but some also have specific details that make them match certain
Season 13 armor sets

PvP Cosmetic Enchant at 2200 Rating
Bashiok
Totally agree in principle, but I'm not sure we need to keep a hurdle in, and adversely affect the PvP game, just to give people something to shoot for. We'll have a cosmetically different enchant available at 2200 in 5.2, and going along those lines we're looking at what potential future cosmetic rewards we could add for various ratings in the future.

PvP Gear in 5.2 and Beyond
Blizzard just released a blog about PvP gear moving forward in Mists of Pandaria. They acknowledge that players who start early have an advantage, that there's a big gap between the power of Honor and Conquest Point gear, and that the 2200 rating requirement on gear creates a sharp gearing divide.
Here's how they plan to address issues in 5.2 and beyond:
2200 rating will be removed from all PvP gear.
Gear will be available in four tiers:
crafted Dreadful Gladiator
, ilvl 476 Malevolent Gladiator (Honor Points),
Tyrannical Gladiator
(Season 13 Conquest Points), and Elite Tyrannical (after 27,000 Conquest Points have been earned).
Team Rating will gradually increase during the season for teams and players that continue to compete in PvP.
Players in 5.3 will not need to meet the seasonal currency requirement to purchase Conquest Point weapons.
Once the seasonal currency amount is met in 5.3, players can purchase C

5.2 PTR: All Season 11 PvP Gear Available, Ghostcrawler on T15 Set Bonuses
Vendors selling all Season 11 Cataclysm PvP gear have been added to the PTR! This has been something hybrid players have been wanting in MoP for both PvP twinking and transmog reasons, since some items like
Cataclysmic Gladiator's Mooncloth Robe

PvP vendors and items tend to get shuffled around a lot each season, so here's a list of who is currently selling what on the PTR:

5.2 PTR: Season 13 PvP Armor
Last week we posted many 3D models of
Tier 15 PvE armor coming in Patch 5.2
: this week we have most Season 13 PvP sets to share! Since most model names are called "Alliance" or "Horde," it looks like Blizzard may be implementing faction-themed PvP gear. While the Tier 9 PvE sets had different models for the Alliance and Horde, this hasn't been done for PvP since vanilla, before arena seasons were introduced.
Several sets have four color variations, so perhaps the lower ilvl PvP gear will look the same across factions, and the unique Alliance and Horde colors will be reserved for the Elite gear, similar to how
Reins of the Vicious War Steed
and
Horn of the Vicious War Wolf
are unique faction rewards for battleground dedication.
Shoulders have now been added to some PvP sets! Enjoy.

5.1 PTR: New Daily Quests
Since we can't get enough of dailies on live, we're previewing the new faction dailies available in 5.1! The Alliance and Horde have landed on the shores of Krasarang Wilds, set up camp, and need your help in defeating the enemy.
(This has been updated as of 11/28 with further daily specifics.)
Operation: Shieldwall

5.1 PTR: New PvP Faction Rewards and Quests
The conflict between the Alliance and Horde is really heating up in 5.1. In the recent PTR patch, vendors were added in Krasarang Wilds that sell zone-specific PvP items, and we datamined a few more quest chains charting the story developments in this area.

Brawler's Guild

Temple of Kotmogu
During the lost days of ancient Pandaria, the ruling mogu built temples not unlike themselves – immense in size, vast in scope, and steeped in forces as old as the ground beneath their feet. Stony statues of the mogu still glare down from their long-vacant temples, and echoes of their supremacy persist to the present day. Inside the autumnal Temple of Kotmogu, a vicious melee has erupted over artifacts the mogu left behind: treasures older than the bloodlines of human kings and the clans of orcs, orbs of power that have bathed in the energies of Pandaria for ages. Will they bring the might of the mogu to the Horde or Alliance?

We've listed all the PvP weapons, armor sets, and accessories with their corresponding 3D models and set bonuses below. Click the images to view them with the Flash modelviewer.
