I started playing and earthen shaman the day it was available. I love EVERYTHING about the race, but omg the azerite racial just it's the most dog*!@# thing in the game
I think it is one of the worst racials or it closely competes with lightforged dranei which still holds the #1 position of worst racials ever (given that we have defeated the demons before we could play the race...)
Honestly I would LOVE a racial similar to the dark irons mole machine. I would be playing dark iron now if i wasnt for the fact im horde.
The gem vendor still only has 3 colors of gems... so if I want a Haste food buff, I have to pay 2,000g on the AH for the right gem. No thanks, I'll keep my 25 silver Crit buff, I guess.
to little to late.. dont race change to earthen.. dont give them the light of day. so many better races you could be. Earthen aint it
So they are made of rocks. They eat rocks and yet still need to breath underwater… Make it make sense.
Do we still use mana?
So I noticed that they made the mistake by opting to use absolute values for health and mana regen. Who wants to bet that this racial gets completely forgotten about in following expacs such that this racial becomes totally useless once our HP and mana values far exceed the amount it regenerates? ...anyone?
Most likely the racial's health/mana return scales with level. WoWhead's just showing max level values. Wouldn't be hard to make a new Earthen and figure out the breakpoints or if it scales the entire way. You aren't going to restore 4.5 million health on a level 10.The racials do seem to all be centered effectively around the Earthen "eating". They get a racial just to restore health and another for a food buff. That's a wee bit boring. Surprised they didn't play into the Magni angle and give them a diamond form/Thraegar racial. Maybe turn into a diamond for X number of seconds that immediately removes all debuffs and increases your size for the duration. Going into the whole Thraegar thing only to effectively forget about it after you leave The Ringing Deeps is a bit disappointing. It's mentioned maybe 3-4 times from the time you arrive on Khaz Algar to the time Magni's restored. After that, it never seems to come up again.
