I'm the odd one out. I play with people I know from RL.

It is an interesting idea... There is no one who is now playing WoW that I want to meet IRL.There was once a guy from Canada that I quested with quite a bit, but when I changed realms he got pissed and stopped talking to me.
Back when Ulduar first came out, I was raidleading in this semi-hardcore 25m guild. A few weeks after Ulduar came out, we accepted this girl into our guild as social, and that night we let her come along to check her out and give her a chance to the same.Over the following weeks, she and I found ourselves in more and more alt raids, main raids that she signed for, 5 mans etc. We got real good friends fast and had loads of fun both in TS and both in and out of game chats.Today we have two beautiful sons together and are building our dreamhome in my old childhood home.
My friends are older instances I can say that better fits this description Kalibak and Black of my server!
About a year or so ago my husband and I joined a guild after returning from taking a break from wow. I didn't know if I was going to stay in this guild and then I met the guild leader and his wife. They were super nice and wanted to run stuff even if it was old content. As we got to know them I grew to love them for their attitudes and how they handled the guild. We became friends on facebook as well. About 6 months or so we started running lfr and the wife became disinterested because her computer would lag so much. I too had the same problem. So for my birthday I got an upgrade on my computer. The terms were I had to get rid of my old one since I tend to keep things I dont need around. I ended up giving this computer away to my new friends in my guild. I worked it out with her husband and she got it as a very big surprise for Christmas. She was so excited and her love for the game was renewed! I am so happy I didn't lose her to her knitting, though I know she loves it too. Now we have a thriving guild that has grown so much and we make more friends every day. I wish I could see them but they live so far away. They are so awesome and I hope we continue to grow as friends since they are the first couple that I have meant in wow and they would be perfect to have just as neighbors too.
I met my best in-game friend in a random guild I joined back in 2006. We sticked together since and are still in the same guild!
While I have Never had a "relationship" in Azeroth I have made life long friends in the game and the guild I am in everyone knows each other in real life and we spread through out Indiana and parts of Illinois it is really cool!
hm i interested:)
my oldest online-friend I actually meat even before WoW was released (in UO), yet still after all those years, breaks from the game, etc. ... we still play together.
Don't know about shows like this.
long time ago when i started to play wow i've meet a druid in goldshire that was shouting for help in a quest, when i whisper him he ask me if i can understand spanish cause he's english was bad(yeah worst than mine :P)and when we talk we discovered that we where form the same province, with the time we meet in RL and now a day he's one of my bf
I met a friend on WoW in early WotLK. She was a really shy tank and at the time wouldn't even tank heroics, let alone raids. I played a holy paladin at the time and I assured her that she could tank heroics raids and everything else. So I invited her to my guild and helped build her confidence by super over healing her in heroics. That was nearly 5 years ago. Now she's one of the best tanks I know, my top officer in my guild. And one of my best friends, we've been there for each other through breakups, stressful days at work, even discussing theoretical physics and chemistry. We were going to go to a Pearl Jam concert together but something came up and I was unable to go. We both thoroughly consider each other very good friends and eventually plan on hanging out in real life. There is nothing we wouldn't do for one another. GG WoW!*It would be really cool if winners got 2 codes, one of themselves and one for their friend!*
Started wow 4 years or so ago and met a dk with glowing cups as weapons in the human leveling starting area I was like "Woa how you get those" and started to have a conversation, we talked for a while and then he had to get off so i asked for his Skype and the next day he showed me where to get the glowwing cups, take it in mind i was a newb and thought having a purple item was almost impossable back then, he helped me level up to 85 and we started to become friends, then a few weeks later he introduced me to a few friends from his school and we are still good friends to this day.
When I joined my current guild, I met many new peeps, and now were great friends :>
A lot of my friends from WoW grew distant after they switched servers and I haven't really been able to make new friends because of it. It seems that whenever I join a new raiding guild, the core team just server hops. Maybe it's because I am on the scryers.
From wow I have gotten many great friends. After some time we made our own guild and own raiding team. We might even go and see eachother one day I hope. Don't know if the others want to or not though. They avoid the question a little. But hopefully one day. :)
When I first started playing I met a bunch of people in a guild and they helped me learn how to play the game. Some of them I don't talk to so much anymore but I'm still friends with the guild master to this day. :) That was about 6-7 years ago.
When I played WoW for a couple of years ago, I was playing a BG and there was a really nice guy called Planetfizz. We talked under the BG and when it was done, I invited him into a group so that we could met in SW. After that I asked him where he was from and he answered Sweden! I come from Swe too so I asked him if he wanted to talk in Skype. He added me and after that we were talking the whole day and played with each other. Now we have met IRL and we're best friends (He's my best friend so I hope I'm his best friend too... xD).
