Halondrus the Reclaimer
Anduin Wrynn
The Jailer
imagine most of the complaining comments will never see the crab in mythic
I'm pretty sure they have some percentage of player accessibility/engagement they need to reach for the Mythic difficulty to be worth the development effort. So the nerfs are unavoidable, if we want to have the Mythic difficulty developed at all and not scrap it if only negligible percentage of players ever see it.
Love how everyone is complaining about the nerf. Talking about guild progression and taking the challenge away, and yet most of the comment says they are barely on crab boss 🤣
Kinda sad how an actual fun and hard fight will become so trivial. Literally with that nerf reclaim wont exist on mythic difficulty. Also bomb duty got omega easier
If you guys didn't kill it already, then you probably wouldn't any time sooner. The whole "I want harder boss" argument is a fallacy...
Normal needs to be nerfed into the ground as well. Pretty ridiculous that many overgeared players can't kill normal Anduin but it rewards the same ilevel loot as a +2 Mists vault.
It's always the minority of the minority who complain the most about nerfs, specifically the raiders who are pushing the content the hardest. It's always been like that since Vanilla. It's always the same people, even though they don't represent the player base, the raiding base, nor the mythic raiding base (or prior equivalents of it). They never see the larger picture regarding guilds, guild management, the raiding scene, the list goes on. That's because most of the people who complain about nerfs aren't in managerial positions in their guilds having to make difficult decisions about raiding. All they care about is their personal challenge, regardless of how the rest of the raiding scene is doing. The bottom line is that mythic raids aren't fun as they should be right now due to a handful of overtuned, poorly-designed fights in each tier. These nerfs were needed and are great news. More nerfs are welcome, too, as this raid is still overtuned on mythic difficulty. A few minor heroic nerfs would be nice as well at this point. A smaller fraction of mythic raiding guilds are pushing through the content right now, and a smaller percentage of the higher-end guilds on each realm are deep into the raid tier. These are bad signs for mythic raiding in general. On our realm of Thrall, which is one of the largest realms out there for overall population as well as Horde population, only seven guilds are 7/11 or higher with a Halondrus kill. We are eight weeks into the raid tier and are starting the ninth week today. That's insane.Mythic raids should be nerfed so that the vast majority of mythic raiding guilds can prog through the content, survive, and build for the future. WoW has been hemorrhaging people during all of BfA and Shadowlands, and one reason for that is the tedious nature of mythic raid tuning. It's alienated a ton of great players and is killing the raiding scene. I'm the GM and raid leader of a CE mythic raiding guild, and I don't say this lightly regarding the nerfs. They would help the raiding community so much, as well as the sustainability of this game. Raids need to be fun, not just challenging. That's something Blizzard has been getting worse at over recent years. A lot of raiders have quit entirely. It's a huge sustainability problem.
They need to put in another game difficulty level. Insane level or something like that. That includes all the bosses in the difficulty they were first killed, no other nerfs. Have it drop cosmetics or just a Feat of Strength, for people that just want the challenge.
So many opportunities for fun in this game seem to be sacrificed by the alleged need to maintain this laser-like focus on balancing this premier mythic raid content... and yet I'm sure I'm not hallucinating in imagining that there's like 50 rounds of nerfs ever tier and it keeps getting worse and worse in terms of lower completion rates and additional huge nerfs per tier. Hopefully in Dragonflight they'll prioritize fun over any illusion of balance, especially balancing around cutting edge mythic raiding.
Can’t have people progressing on Mythic Halondrus when they need warm bodies to inflate those Dragonflight Alpha numbers. Seriously, just put a chest at the end of his last room with a little white flag. Wtf
If you already killed Halondrus in Mythic then you have nothing to cry on this nerf, your record has been already recorded ein Raider IO that your guild killed it BEFORE the huge nerf.If your guild haven't killed Halondrus and others on Mythic yet, you have nothing to cry on this nerf, it means you are in average guild far from pros, and you COULD NOT MAKE IT, remember a patch is meant to last 4 month-5 months and mythic difficulty almost have 2 months now (half patch duration) no the nerfs must be done.God, It is really impressive to see people crying for everything even if they don't have reason to
I do not understand two things and I see it at opposite ends both pulling in their direction. 1. What is wrong to have everyone get their challenge? You have mythic for those who enjoy a challenge. Why should they not tune the mythic version around those who test the limits of the boss? It is the "premium" difficulty. The creme du la creme. It should be tuned around them and if it is too much for the majority then a bit of nerfing must be done but after a time to give people a chance to do it untouched.2.What is wrong with the nerfs? You have a group of people that want to do mythic raiding but do not have the time. They can do it but they do not want to waste 2-3 months to kill one boss. That is how you lose interest in a game and in a raid. It is a guild wrecker. You had your chance to do it. You didnt, now you get to kill it with the nerfs.I will be frank. I do not know what is overtuned about it or if its not overtuned and people spew nonsese.P.S: Stop spewing 99.99% nonsense. The guilds that end up having CE is more than 10%.
Way too heavy of nerfs for this point in the tier. They should be doing incremental nerfs, not one big sledgehammer nerf. I’m okay with them nerfing the fight that much, but not for another month or two until only the trash tier guilds are on it that actually wouldn’t have a hope of killing it without massive nerfs. And before anyone flames me for being a LFR player without a clue, my guild was doing prog on mythic halondrus and having a good time. Now it’s just going to be a trivial joke. Should have just done a small nerf to the bomb timer and waited at least another 2 months for the huge nerfs.Only people I can see that would be happy with this level of nerfs are people that won’t ever even see this content and just cry anytime something is difficult.. aka your low level mythic raiders that want to log on for their free loot.
This is a punch in the gut to everyone who killed Halondrus on its original difficulty. Why bother raiding the first month if every patch is just going to be massive nerfs every week? I thought PTR is the time when testing and tuning is supposed to happen. Getting real sick of this. If their devs can't tune the raids before they're released they need to be replaced.
