Even when you pay the price of playing only one of each card, a can break your entire game. So, isn't realy necesary a nerf in Reno, you can simply add cards to counter him
I think there is no need to nerf Reno, but some major gamplay balance/changes have to be done in order to bring balance back to the game.
Reno is great....if you can pull him at the right moment. There have been plenty of times in game play where he comes too late or just delays the game a few turns. If you don't have anything left to swing board control in your favor or kill your opponent, you're pretty much done anyway.
I think Reno is great just how he is, if he gets nerfed I could see face hunter being very annoying again. Since he is a legendary we all know there is only 1 of him so you might not even see him some games. (If you could have two in your deck that would be OP, even though you can have the two panda cards in your deck. It still all has to work out.)Another thing is sometime you play Reno but you just lose anyways from a deck like tempo mage or Zoo. Just because you Reno's does not mean you just win. Some times I've died holding Reno too when I thought I was safe. (double fireball, 1 frost bolt and they had 2/3 minions.) or I remember a while back holding him dying to a Druid Force of Nature, Intervate x2 Savage Roar. If things get out of control with him later on a few years down the road... sure, nerf him. But as of right now, please don't do it.
To be honest, I'm a bit surprised it's seen as a problem. My own decks can handle Reno fine and my Control Warrior uses him but he's not really a game changer, for me. I very rarely get to a point where he's played against me and it changes the result. If I'm ahead on board then I'm still ahead on board. Reno just delays the inevitable :DI like that it encourages one of a kind decks. It means we get to see more cards in play and more variety of decks. I think that's great and I think it gives a resaon to play new cards without them having to be strictly better than the old cards.Aggro still works. Reno is just one card in 30 and aggro needs to win quickly anyway. Chances are they can do so before Reno is ever drawn.Also. both players can play Reno so nobody gets an unfair advantage. Slowing down the meta makes the games more interesting and skill based so I've no problem with that either. I really don't see Reno as an issue.
Nerf Reno Jackson? Sure, why the hell not. After all both Secret Pally and Combo Druid are in dire need of buffing to make them any viable. How can someone not understand that unless his opponent is a mindless SMorc healing is generally pretty bad value-wise. All what Reno does is that he serves as a deterrent, discouraging most players cut the corners, claiming cheap effortless victories with their terrible aggro decks. And I don't care whether zerging is a natural TCG aspect or not. You wanna win — you gotta bloody earn it in a battle, not a one-sided slaughter.Sick of paladins Control Warrior ranting.
In my experience I haven't had a Problem with Reno Jackson. I don't even own LOE and in all the games I've played against decks that have Reno in them. I've only lost once. I honestly depends on the deck you're running, on how effective Reno will be for you and vice versa. Most of the time for me is even if they no use Reno I usually have enough board to drop them from 30 in a turn or two. Or two just outlast them.
Glad to hear you all like Reno, I do too, but this isn't about Reno being broken right now, it's about him potentially being stupid broken a year or two from now.
The argument of "more cards will make Reno decks better" applies to literally all decks though. "what if all cards were as useful as Thaurissan" is total hyperbole.
The solution is simple. Just increase the deck limit from 30 to 40.
Just don't buff him so that he shines yellow whenever he can heal.
Don't really see why they can't just increase the mana cost if he's that much of a problem. Fairly sure a 10 mana full heal isn't even close to overpowered, if that's what it takes
is the 1# card that needs a nerf in my opinion...
Now that i think of it - as more different cards are added, Reno's value increases. Considering that one-to-two cards per expansion help any given deck, i dare say that after 6 expansions (3 pack collections and 3 adventure modes) Reno will really become broken to some classes. I'd give it 2 years. If the game can last for such long, we'll see Reno's heal being reduced to like 15 or even 10 health.
I think someone is angry because his Facehunter was beaten by Reno deck. In different scenario, Reno hardly is a game changer.
Reno is great, and his introduction has finally slowed down the meta, that was filled with aggro decks.Besides this, reno-decks have a problem - consistency, so imo he MUSNT'T BE NERFED!
