renown 19 already wtf
How is anyone Renown 19 without having abused the weekly quest? I've done everything and i'm renown 13.
Why bring Ysera back if she is not going to take charge of the flight? Tyrande explicitly says that her flight needs her, Malfurion puts himself on a different plane of existence - just to give Merithra a confidence boost? Doesn't that kinda invalidate Malfurion's sacrifice?Additionally, why make Merithra the new leader of the Green Dragonflight? What character traits does Merithra posssess that Ysera does not? From a story/narrative point of view, it does not make much sense; other than Merithra is a blank slate and they could take her character in any direction.
So, Malfurion has to sacrifice himself so Ysera can come back and be useless? For why? So they can get an lazy tearjerk moment?

Ysera and Malfurion weren't even together when she was corrupted and certainly not when she was killed. Malfurion had already been kidnapped by the time she was corrupted. She just got yeeted by the Tear of Elune randomly on the way to trying to get to him. This is the most ridiculous way to describe the events of that questline I can imagine.Man you can REALLY tell which storylines were written or approved by Danuser and which werent, because all of his stuff is just the worst. Wrathion/Sabellian, this *!@#, and Raszageth's motivations culminating her plan on being "just kill everyone."Can we fire his ass already and replace him with the people who wrote the Dragonmaw Orc story or the Brave Little Tuskarr story or the Veritistrasz story. They're on such a higher tier of quality than this crap.
I suspect Ysera's return to Azeroth has a time limit. She cannot stay indefinitely. Plus, I'm getting vibes we're about to see all the old Aspects pass the torch. The original generation will retire to make way for a new one. (Kalecgos is already part of that second generation. He was merely the first.) Nozdormu will name someone to take his place before he falls to become Murozond. Wrathion and Sabellian are already competing to see who takes the open Black mantle.
Oh, dear. Why would Blizzard add that questline? We all know Ysera is not coming back. That new model is reserved for Merithra.

I hate night elves and I am a Dragon supremacist, so I am glad Malfurion was put in his rightful place here. Screw that boring ass character. I am SO glad to have Ysera back. She died because of absolutely stupid writing, so it is splendid to have a DRAGON back. I just wish Tyrande was killed off. For once, Danuser did something right here. Let us just hope that stupid stuff doesn't happen that makes it so Ysera has to switch places with Midfurion again. Eugh. Dragon supremacy!

This is absolute ass. It feels like Blizzard gave into the people whining that Merithra should've been the leader of the Green flight... but makes this revival of Ysera feel absolutely pointless. Can the narrative developers choose a @#$%ing narrative path and stick to it? Jesus christ.
Ysera is back to do something important, but not permanently. That's why she can't be the aspect again, and because she's now tied to the Shadowlands and the Winter Queen. But that's why she's here, because that connection will likely be important in the revelations to come. I literally love watching wow "players" complaining about stuff like this, it never stops to amuse me.When it first got leaked, it was "Ew, why is Ysera back, she's on the pins too, she's getting deus ex machina'd to be the aspect again? That's stupid, here's 200 reasons why it's more compelling for Merithra to rise up to the task."Now it's clear Ysera isn't back to become an aspect again, and is on borrowed time? "Ew, wtf blizzass, why the hell isn't she going to be the aspect again? Merithra is worthless, she brings nothing to the table, it should just be Ysera it makes no sense for her to not come back to be the aspect."
I'm fine with this from a renown standpoint since you get a lot of renown from the quests. From a storytelling standpoint? No. Nothing against Merithra, there's really no reason to support her over Ysera.
