If they add something worth the effort, sure
2 truths and a lie
Player titles I want to see from this system: "Jungle stalker," "Jungle predator," "hunted and afraid," "just a little scared," "master stalker, "master hunter." etc
Surely no one will complain about entirely optional content. Nobody will come in here and talk about how mad they are that there isn't player power tied to it, right?
Adding something that "casual players" might actually enjoy -- a challenging piece of content that doesn't require instanced play -- and make it reward only cosmetics is funny.
Oh man, the people who pay a monthly subscription for their doll dress-up simulator will be so mad about this if it's remotely challenging.
Also primal style weapons from the Amani, but that can just be open world drops. Ooh and since they have a thing with panthers... an updated version of the Zul'Gurub panther mount from the old version, un-armored so the BMAH retains it's value.
I saw someone say that there should be NPCs that look like random players, kind of similar to how the Soulbourne genre has players invading your worlds. That would be pretty awesome. I'm interested in this otherwise, because I'm sure it will lead to some funny moments. Normally when playing, it's frustrating and 100% the game's fault for spawning something on you when you wanted to go afk. Now? You willingly chose to have this happen, and it WILL inconvenience you at random times.Cue the "I almost soloed this rare, but this random overpowered mob showed up and got me killed before I could!" reactions from people who forgot they had the system enabled.
Why can't we get things like increased gold find or higher chance to upgrade gear on drop or anything that would make any of this worth doing at a core gameplay level? Hell, give me the opportunity to increase my pet battle capture chance. Anything.
Oh and for housing, grotesque trophies for both Pve and PvP and the prey system with mounted troll heads / horns on the wall, and racks of claimed weapons.
outdoor content has 0 challenge, truly boring
They keep adding solo content, which would be good if they cared to balance it, but no - this will be yet another feature where it's a cakewalk for tanks, slow for healers, hard for squishy classes and easy for sturdy classes.
I will likely run it until ATT tells me I have everything, after that I pull put it down until the next wave.
If it has no player power, I'll do as much of it as I can until I get the cosmetics I want then turn it off.
Oooo, are we hunting San'layn? That looks like one.
It will geht nerfed into oblivioun because hard Content makes people afraid. Delves allready are laughable on Level 11. This sadly wont be different.
more boring open world slop that will be tied to something in a way where it will be required for people who are playing the game at higher than a heroic dungeon level im sure. This will be more content like torghast, delves, hunts from DF(remember those lmao) where is turn your brain off easy for tank, annoying for healers and face roll for dps. We have so much "solo" open world slop in the game its bursting at the seems
I had hoped the "Prey" system would be more like Bounties from GW2 or Hunt trains from FF. The way this is presented, spawning an npc by yourself in open world at a random time isn't exactly an "expansion feature" in my opinion. This could have been a revamp of the rare spawn system which is currently really outdated, to add more player agency and make it more engaging instead of a waiting simulator.
Love it 😍
