Destruction Warlocks Nerfs Delayed to Start of Season 4, Survival Hunter Will Be Nerfed As Well

In response to player feedback, we have elected to not make changes to Destruction Warlock this week. We expect to adjust Destruction as well as Survival Hunter with the beginning of Season 4.

Previously in our April 20 tuning, we made adjustments to Destruction Warlock and Survival Hunter to reign in their performance in M+. Those changes did not turn out to do enough, and we need to make further adjustments, but we realize this will have a significant impact on players who have committed time and effort into those specs for the conclusion of the M+ season.

Please prepare for reductions to Destruction Warlock and Survival Hunter damage in high target situations at the start of Season 4.

If this change was done two months ago it would be fine but this late in the season its just not a good idea. Glad they listened to feedback which people always claim they want blizzard to do more of. I had posted about it last week about how weird it was with the timing. I agree with the nerfs, but essentially it killed any team from further pushing this season. They're being nerfed purely so that warlocks don't cry about hunters not being nerfed.

Hunter only excels at high targets whereas warlock does an obscene amount of damage even on three targets. Hunter also relies on getting their bomb procs so don't even necessarily blast DPS with cooldowns...Comment by HeroicveniGood. Massive nerfs like this shouldn't be happening in mid season. Meta shouldn't matter for all 20s, but ppl who actually care about pushing high keys are the most affected by these kind of nerfs. Like imagine pushing to 3.7k and almost at season cutoffs then suddenly ur class is no longer viable for those high keys and no longer brought to those 28-29s cause other specs are betterComment by VSozonovThis is actually a good decision, and I don't even play those specs. They won't screw over people who are pushing high keys and who put in time and effort to practice routes with these 2 specs but they obviously deserve a nerf so start of next season is perfect time to do it.
