How is taelia going to hug his father? Isn't he burning?
What a load of bs. Of all the things she could ask him, she chooses to belittle him for exiling himself because "everyone who loved him" also made sacrifices. I guess you could hardly compare literally sitting on a frozen throne with constant whispers from the afterlife telling you to turn everything to shreds, probably with some old gods whispers mixed in as well, to "presume him dead and live on".I really hoped the story between Bolvar and Taelia would get a better spotlight.
More terrible story. Hopes of improvement for 10.0 approach zero now.
Ah yes. People want a person to act rationally and relfective after finding out their father, who they believed was dead and died a horrible death by one of the most horrible monsters in their world, is actually quite alive and not bothering to make a sound despite quite a few other people knowing about it. Including a few people she spoke to more than once. And people again make it into a weird plot by the evil "WhamAN" to destroy your masculinity.... heavens people do you hear/read youselv sometimes? It would have been wierd storytelling if thalia just stood there and said "Neet, want to drink a coffee? I am not angry at all for giving me one of the worst experiences in my life while i was a child despite fully being able to circumvent that with one word"
I prefer to think of this as the blurb on the back of a book. a tidbit of a story/relationship to be continued. But I think we all know that Bolvar will end up "ruling" the Maw, and Tealia will end up back in Kul Tiras angry about how the events unfolded. Only to seek vengeance with her big hammer and end up having her head mounted on a spike outside of Ogrimaar and her soul banished to the Maw to be with her father forevermore.
The average fanfiction would be better than current lore. I've read at least a dozen Shadowlands fan-made angles that would've been better than what we have now. Most probably have as well.
Taelia Fordragon says: But it wasn't just you who made that sacrifice. It was the rest of us, too. Everyone who loved you. This line bugs me, the man literally DIED and has to burn eternally while trapped on a throne mentally battling the Jailer for control of the scourge so it does not wipe out all life on the planet...but SHE the one who had sacrificed? How utterly selfish can you be to make that claim?
I was in an exact same situation irl, and I didn't act anything like this. So unrealistic. When I found out my father was alive and had been the Lich King this entire time, I just kept my sunglasses on and shot him with fingerguns saying, "Stay cool daddio!"
Taelia's french dub is the sexiest voice i've heard in years. It's always a pleasure to redo the boralus introduction on alt to listen to her introduce the flightmaster.
Terrible over dramatic reaction to a girl in a video game being mad her father didn't want her to know he was alive...
I don't understand why people get upset at Taelia's reaction. Why can't she act childish with this? Bolvar's her father and she's not a princess, she doesn't need to act righteously and only think of duty - she can be angry and act as a spoiled child. She did try to keep that back during all the expansion and now that they have a moment of respite, why not talk about it? Besides she didn't say that she'll never forgive him, she just said that she was hurt. It's much more realistic and deep that many of Shadowlands dialogues.
