Since neither Deep Cuts From the Vault or Mythic: Raszageth the Storm-Eater are Feats of Strength, and the achievement explicitly distinguishes between normal achievements and Feats of Strength, this sounds like it would remain achievable in future expansions, when Mythic Vault becomes 'trivial'. A good thing.

Seems like it is bugged. Doesn't provide any visual effect improvement like lightning to any items.

I believe what this item does for you is pretty misunderstood right now. I finally had a ticket resolved by a GM for this today and now I get it so im just here to share/confirm, some people on here do already have it right.

GM linked me here then advised me that the item doesnt unlock the colors themselves that you get for the vault tier set from doing different things such as getting gladiator, LFR, etc. Alot of people i know thought this and so did i tbh thats why i made the ticket i wanted my purple armor.

He then let me know it simply unlocks the visual effects for those base appearances. Im taking that as its the same visual effect the elite pvp gear has but you get to use it on the other colors.

Item showing up in mailbox probably is a bug though he didnt mention that, but i guess we do have the visual effect unlocked, just need to get another base appearance and try it out. Ill probably try LFR and gladiator. Purple lightning is a bet.

This item is not working properly. After I used it 2 things happened I got a second template of my heroic shoulders as a transmog which doesn’t differ from the heroic shoulders so the mythic glow is missing. And now to the bigger problem I can’t even see the mythic glow in the set templates anymore it has been completely removed not only from dragonflight but also the mythic glow from shadowlands sets has been completely removed and is no longer visible. Would like to know if anyone else has this problem.

Class set items from Mythic Vault of the Incarnates and Elite PVP are intended to display lightning visual effects. These effects are typically attached to the shoulder and helm items. Unfortunately we have a bug that has prevented many of them from functioning as intended.

The bug will be fixed with the launch of 10.0.5.

The Gleaming Incarnate Thunderstone, which you get as a reward for earning the Dragonflight Keystone Hero: Season 1 achievement, is intended to grant the lightning visual effect to non-Mythic difficulty class sets (and to grant the non-lightning version to the Mythic or Elite sets). So if you have the Normal difficulty shoulder appearance for your tier set, using this item will grant an additional appearance with the same color and added lightning effects. This applies to any item appearances you have already unlocked or unlock in the future, so unlocking your Heroic shoulders in the future will also immediately the lightning-infused equivalent.

Due to the aforementioned bug, this was likely unclear. You may also need to log out and log back in for these appearances to appear in your collection.

Gleaming Incarnate Thunderstone is an achievement reward from Deep Cuts From the Vault. The requirements to unlock it include the completion of one of the following:

Defeating Mythic Raszageth

Dragonflight Keystone Hero: Season One

Elite: Dragonflight Season 1

While Dragonflight Keystone Hero: Season One and Elite: Dragonflight Season 1 seem to be time-sensitive with the season's end, Defeating Mythic Raszageth currently has no time expectations and therefore it may be possible to acquire the Gleaming Incarnate Thunderstone after Season 1. From experience with Dragonflight Keystone Hero: Season One, you do not need to complete a +20 key for each dungeon during Tyrannical and Fortified weeks, which means that achieving Dragonflight Keystone Hero: Season One is technically easier compared to previous expansion versions of Keystone Hero. Please see this image for proof of a 2,500 M+ score without requiring +20 keys.

Using the Gleaming Incarnate Thunderstone causes you to be hit with lightning, which knocks your character down to the ground and stuns them.

Is this effect account wide? Or would I need to earn it on each armor type?

Edit: It's not class specific, it unlocks for all armor/class types.

If you're like me and had a hard time understanding what this item does:

It will give you lightning version of normal/heroic versions on shoulders/helmet and will give you a non-lightning version for mythic/elite pvp sets.
After gaining the item and using it, do a quick relog and open your transmog panel, if you have the tier appearances collected you will see that now you have 2 variations, one with lightning and one without (depending on the level).

Just pick whichever one you like most and you're done!

If you get this and play Monk, get ready for some major disappointment. There is no helm effect like other sets and the lightning on the shoulders is very very subtle.

Adding a note since this wasn't clear to me.

Almost every Mythic set has a unique adornment that differentiates it from N/H versions. In prior tiers, it was often structural. This tier, it's simply a different colorway and a lightning effect on the shoulders/helm.

This item does not unlock sets. It does not modify appearances for head/shoulder in the set menu for items you already have unlocked. As such, the advantage of having this unlocked is that you get the aesthetic bonus of mythic (with more dramatic lightning around the transmog) using any preferred color scheme you choose (i.e., you get the mythic pizzaz with whichever difficulty's color scheme you prefer).

To give people perspective on the M+ requirements for this, I got Dragonflight Keystone Hero: Season One today and I only have a single +20 done. The sweet spot appears to be something in the vicinity of +18s on both Fortified and Tyrranical for each.

Obtaining this unlocks the head and shoulder effects for all your characters no matter the class/armor type. Such a good thing this is account wide! Just clarifying this as I found it hard to understand based on other comments here.

I got this today and after multiple relogs it finally worked... for the paladin shoulders only.

There does not seem to be a different helmet for paladins and it's very lackluster, hardly noticeable and not something people are going to see unless they stop to stare. And this is with graphics turned all the way up.

Could be better.

I can confirm that as of today, 10.2.6 (DF Season 3), Deep Cuts From the Vault is still achievable by defeating Mythic Razzy, thereby earning Mythic: Raszageth the Storm-Eater.
The Gleaming Incarnate Thunderstone will appear in your bags, and once you use it, it unlocks the Mythic/Elite_PVP visual effects for all recolors of all tier sets across your account once you've collected the base appearances (along with Mythic/Elite_PVP recolors sans effects, if you need that for a more muted transmog). Remember that the has infinite charges for DF Season 1 & 2 tier items, meaning if you get eligible gear at the right iLv, you can earn these appearances more quickly.

I completed this achievement today with a pug after a few false starts and time spent prog'ing each phase so people could learn what to do. With a little patience and a decent group, it's not so bad. Unfortunately, I've tried to pug this fight with multiple other groups this season with most of them failing to reach P3, but with some luck, I was finally able to mark this achievement off my to-do list.

PRO-TIPS:

The armor appearances may not appear until you completely log out of the game client (I had to take it a step further by closing the BattleNet app as well).

When searching for your new appearances, remember to have "Not Collected" chosen in the filter menu, and search for the exact primary item name (not the secondary shared-appearance name; using the raid name or boss name also doesn't show these special versions, only the base items).

For example: On my mage, if I search the shoulders tab for , , or , I see just the original four difficulty recolors. However, if I search for , I see ten results: the four vanilla recolors alongside six other versions (LFR, Normal, Heroic, & Gladiator_PVP with effects; Mythic & Elite_PVP without effects).
