An old journal found within a shack...
This is the tale of a powerful but arrogant nation. I speak of course of Gilneas, the kingdom ruled by the powerful Greymane line for years uncountable. Unfortunately, even the mighty can fall far.
We aided the Lordaeron Alliance in the Second War against the orcs, but after the war ended we withdrew from the Alliance. King
Genn Greymane
then constructed and shut the gates of the Greymane wall - sealing us off from the rest of the world. We lived simple lives from there on out, not knowing or caring much about the dealings of the outside world.
Only much, much later did we realize what a costly mistake that would prove to be. Only much, much later did we find ourselves the prey of a creature greater then ourselves. Only much, much later did we become the monsters we are today...
<The remaining pages are so stained with blood that they are now illegible.>
This is an RP in which you play through the weeks/months/years detailing the nation of Gilneas' loss of its humanity to the Worgen Curse. There is a timeline I've created for the events:
Act One: The First Worgen Appear in Gilneas
- At this point there arn't many worgen and player characters are still a full humans - although one by one they will begin to be biten and converted. He can go about his life as he wishes, but should be careful about the worgen lurking around.
Act Two: The Creature's Spread
- Many more worgen have poured into Gilneas, and they are now becoming even more bold then they were before. Even the Gilnean army is having a difficult time trying to keep the people safe.
Act Three: Humanity Overrun
- The Gilneans can no longer hold back the tide of the worgen - both full worgen and infected Gilneans. There is a last-ditch effort to try and survive, but the people know that they are doomed. Newcomers may choose whether or not to start out as an already infected Gilnean or one of the few healthy people remaining.
Act Four: The Feral Packs
- All but a few Gilneans - Genn, some of his advisors and guards, and a few lucky people - are now infected - all player characters are now worgen. They now act more like animals, fighting amongst themselves, barking and growling to communicate, and are pitted against the few uninfected that remain. Anyone who joins at this point starts out immediately as an infected Gilnean.
Act Five: The Cure
-
Krennan Aranas
has discovered a partial remedy for the curse, although he had to infect himself to do so. Genn's guards and Aranas are now working together to gather up the infected Gilneans and administer the cure to them. As the Gilneans are cured they will aid their efforts.
Act Six: The Forsaken Attack
- The armies of the Forsaken have attacked the nation, and are threatening to overrun it. The cured citizens are aiding in the battle against them, but there are still a few uncured Gilneans left - needless to say the guards are continuing to round them up. Players can now play as a Forsaken character.
Act Seven: The Night Elves offer Their Aid
-
Velinde Starsong
and a group of other night elves arrive and offer their assistance in battling against the Forsaken. In return the Gilneans must join the Alliance. They also instruct some eager Gilneans in the ways of Druidism.
The End
- The tale comes to a close with the Forsaken being beaten back the people of Gilneas and the Night Elves, the people of Gilneas joining the Alliance, and the player characters leaving Gilneas.

Important Information:
The speed at which your character progresses through the RP's time is up to you, but, eventually, he/she will have to fall victem to the worgen curse, as will all other player characters (save Genn, who I will be RPing as).
The worgen invaders will have to be RP'd by the individuals - I will not be controlling them. When they show up in relation to your character is up to you.
One your character is infected he will transform into one of the worgen at a speed which you decide. Keep in mind, though, that, untill Krennan finds the cure for the curse, your human personality will have no control and your character will mostly be driven by an animalistic instinct.
You will only be able to RP as a druid when the night elves come and a deal is struck between the two.
After the night elves come you will also have the option of RPing as one of them.
God-moding makes penguins cry. Don't make penguins cry.

Characters: Ivan Jeret, Krista Jeret and Blaine Jeret
Location: Patroling Gilneas, Greymane Manor
There Jeret family have been staunch advisors and friends of the Greymane family for years. After their parents fell victim to disease, Ivan, Krista, and Blaine are the only members of the family left. Even so, they strive to uphold their duty to the crown of Gilneas at all costs.
Ivan is the oldest and most honorable of the three. Although he is a noble he tries to associate himself with the common people in order to be better attuned to their feelings on certain situations. To this extent he has joined the Gilneas military as a common foot soldier, and has been patrolling the land to try and keep the worgen creatures in check for days. He is skilled in use of the broadsword, but has also trained in hand-to-hand martial arts - just to be safe.
Krista is the smartest of the three and is the most like a noble. She looks down on the common people and considers herself above them. Even so, she respects her brothers' ideas and considers their opinions and the opinions of others carefully before making a decision. Before Gilneas closed its borders, forcing her to return to the nation, she had been taking an extended vacation to study magic in Dalaran, giving her a slight control over arcane magic’s to a minor extent.
Blaine is the politician of the three. He understands Gilnean law the best and does his best to help Genn with the creation of laws, tax regulations, and trade arrangements. In order to protect himself he has taken up training in combat as well. To the worry of some, though, he preferred method weapon – daggers – and method of fighting seems to classify him as a rogue – needless to say the people of Gilneas don’t like the idea of a rogue governing them. Even so he is a good person, and his siblings can attest to that fact.
Ivan patrolled along the paths of Gilneas, keeping his eyes open for anything suspicious. Alongside him were several other soldiers, all armored in plate him himself. Despite all the fear that was going around, there didn't seem to be anything in the area. He motioned to the other soldiers and they moved on.
Krista and Blaine sat, buisily scrolling down each word King Greymane said as he dictated a new tax regulation for the farmers of the nation. Blaine had a special place in his heart for the hard-working men and women that supplied the Gilneans for food, so it was going to be difficult for him to see these to laws put into action.

William Ford
Wolven Mane Inn
William is the barkeep at an inn situated in the center of Gilneas, and competitor to the Moonlit Stag Tavern. A strong and handsome man, skilled with a blade.
".....one Gilnean Thundershot. Careful, that stuff is...." William said, being cut short as the customer, coughed out a flames. "....is strong....thats 30 silver please.". He put the silver into the small coin box below the counter and sat down. It was a slow night. He overheard a few woodsmen talking.
"....Aye, its fur was as black as the night. A demon or something!"
"No, no John, its a dog. A wild dog and nothing more."
"I doubt its a demon. Christoph is right, John"
"You two sure you were'nt drunk today? It was a demon! What kind of dog stands that high?"
"Ahh you have a point their" one said, sporting a bandage on his arm.
"S'cuse me lads" Wiliam asked them. "But why didn't you just kill it and bring it back, eh? You had axes, did you not?"
"Aye, we did have axes, but it howled to the sky man! We were too scared to move!"

Characters: Ivan Jeret, Krista Jeret and Blaine Jeret
Location: Patroling Gilneas, Greymane Manor
Ivan and the other soldiers made their way towards the town. Their patrol had turned up nothing - again - and they decided that a drink would do them some good.
Krista and Blaine put the seal of the Greymane line on the orders and handed it out to those who would carry them out. With that they were dismissed for the time, but while Krista went to go attend to herself Blaine went to go give the farmers and early warning about the new laws.

Wolven Mane Inn
William lifted a black sign and began writing heavily on it with a white stick. "This new Chalk Invention isnt half bad" William said the the three woodsmen. "there, what do you think, eh?" he asked showing them the sign.
