I read that the feral crit cap is 70%. My question is, when I'm raid buffed and sitting at 66% crit. When
Death's Choice
procs my characters screen states that I hit 71%. Is that 1% wasted or is there really no cap?

"I read that" You read
what
more precisely? The chance for glancing blow is 25% (or 26%, dunno exactly). Which means the crit cap (for white hits) is 75% (74%) - if you are hit and expertise capped. Crit cap for special abilities is 100%.
Note: remember that you have a ~4% crit penalty against a raid boss. So to actually have 75% crit against a raid boss you need 79% displayed on your character sheet. To have 100% crit for specials you need 104% on the paperdoll.
That's all. Need proof that crit cap goes above 70%?
HERE you go
. 71% crit on white hits.

This where I found it
EJ forum
"He's referring to Ele Shaman's ToW, or the Ret Pallies Heart of the Crusader. You're probably referring to the Crit Suppression the boss has on him.
100% - 24% (glancing blows) - 4.8% (crit suppression) + 3% seems to equal 74.2%, meaning that any crit above 74.2% on your paperdoll is wasted. At this point Crit's value takes a nosedive as it no longer affects white attacks, and pretty much doesn't affect FB anymore, so in a high FB build you're looking at roughly 30% of your damage no longer benefiting from Crit. Not that it becomes meaningless, and if you get there via procs then chances are those procs are still highly valuable."
So it looks like I answered my own question. Is anyone at 74% that isn't gemming for agility?

Indeed above 74% crit is wasted regarding FB and melee swings. But it goes up to 100% for Shred, Mangle, Rip and Rake (with 4xT10).
