Edit action buttons

I moved an item of armour into one of the action button slots but I can't remove it. It's in slot 6. I want to remove it and then all the spells in slots 7 upwards I want to move one to the left. Does anyone know how I could do this please?

To move action bar slots, Shift-Click them, then either drop it onto another slot (picking up whatever was in that slot) or drop it by right-clicking (this won't delete items, don't worry)

You can also unlock the action bars from the game settings, so you no longer need to Shift-click the skill/item in the slot. However, this makes it possible to accidentally remove something from your action bar, which could be a bad thing in certain situations.

Yes, that setting removes the need to press Shift. You would only need that when you want to move action slots around a lot. But even in that case, I personally don't see a lot of value in that setting. Holding Shift while clicking and dragging is not hard. Assuming you aren't using one hand to eat.
