HOW TO UNLOCK THIS FACTION AS OF THE 8.2.5 PTR build 31337:

1. Acquire Bumbles from Let's Bee Friends.

2. Locate Barry northeast of the Mildenhall Meadery flightpath in Stormsong Valley.
(Barry location: 69,64)

3. Summon Bumbles while next to Barry.

4. Follow the green scent-marks leading north to the Honeyback Hatchery.
(Hatchery location: 62,26)

5. After the short event, loot the Jelly Deposit just south of the hatchery.
(Jelly Deposit: 63,28)

6. Bring the Thin Jelly you looted from the Jelly Deposit back to the Honeyback Hivemother at the hatchery.

7. Talk to Barry in front of the hivemother and click his dialogue option.

8. Aaand you're done unlocking the reputation. The hatchery now allows you to enter inside. Now begins the fun part.

Entering inside the hatchery you can see Barry to the left. In front of him is a Nascent Harvester.
If you once again talk to Barry, he urges you to feed the Nascent Harvester with the jelly you found,
granting you your first 7 reputation. Afterwards, Barry relocates just outside of the hatchery, offering
his advice on bees.

HOW TO GAIN MORE REPUTATION AFTER UNLOCKING THE FACTION
************************************************************

1. Collect Jelly Deposits from around Stormsong Valley. They look identical to the earlier deposit you looted earlier
while unlocking the faction. They are scattered almost all over Stormsong Valley. As of PTR build 31337, multiple
people can loot the same node. The more common Jelly Deposits yield 1 Thin Jelly, while the more rare Large ones
yield at least 3-4.

The deposits seem to disappear after a few seconds of looting them. You also can't loot the deposits while in combat.
Tip for spotting the deposits without the reputation goggles: set ground clutter graphics setting to 1.

2. Find Honeyback Harvesters. They are friendly bee npcs that when talked to start an event spawning waves of enemies that culminates in
a rare mob dropping a larger jelly deposit and possibly an extra quest item.

Confirmed locations where I've found Honeyback Harvesters so far: 63,21 - 61,31 - 33,32

After some testing, I found out that as of this PTR build (31337) they seem to be on a cooldown. Trying to move close to another Honeyback Harvester after already doing an event prior to that one causes it to phase out and be unable to be interacted with. You can't see the enemies spawned either if another player starts the event.

As a sidenote: the events may be tough to solo as a low geared character.

3. Patrolling around 60,17 is Honey Smasher, Boss level elite ettin with around 22M hp that drops jelly. Possibly also daily locked.

Quick Guide for Honeyback Hive
The Honeyback Hive is a new faction, added in 8.2.5. Noteably, it adds the the Honeyback Harvester's Harness. I've written up a small quick guide for this, however I also have a larger, in depth guide. Honeyback Hive & The Honeyback Harvester - Reputation & Rewards Guide - I will try to update the waypoints in this comment often, however the guide will always be up to date. If you find a waypoint I haven't put in, please comment it on the guide or message me directly.

To earn the Honeyback Harvester's Harness, you have to achieve these milestones:

Raise the Honeyback Harvester into a 'Mature' Honeyback Harvester, which is the equivelant of Exalted. Note you dont need the faction at Exalted.
Complete a short quest chain, ending with Leaving the Hive, which will reward you your mount!

Requirements

Honeyback Hive and Honeyback Harvester's Harness are Alliance only .
Bumbles or Seabreeze Bumblebee is required .
Flying is strongly recommended .

Unlocking the Honeyback Hive

Bring Bumbles or Seabreeze to 69.26, 64.18 in Stormsong Valley. When you are there, speak to Barry.
Fly to the hive, at 62.93, 26.58. No need to stand in the clouds or follow them.
Obtain the Jelly from the deposit at 63.20, 28.44. Bring this back to the bee. Congrats, you've unlocked the faction!

Ensure to talk to Barry, and then feed your first Jelly to the Nascent Harvester, giving you your first 20 reputation, allowing you to now see Jelly Deposits.

Reputation Strategy
Ensure to have addons Paste and TomTom or similar location waypoint tracking addon.

Kill Honey Smasher every day - Honey Smasher gives 500 reputation with Honeyback Hive upon killing him and a chance to obtain Jelly. You can kill Honey Smasher once per day. He has a short respawn.
Do Honeyback Harvester events - These are found in multiple locations. You can do Honeyback Harvester events multiple times per day. Create a /tar macro and fly around the zone spamming it, or see waypoints below. Once finding one, you will be able to do a 'wave' type combat event.
Search for Jelly Deposits - Turn 'Ground Clutter' to 1 under System Settings. This will help you see the Jelly Deposits. Use group finder to phase hop, if you see groups in Stormsong Valley and your phase is too crowded. Feed jelly to the bees.
Buy Jelly from the Auction House - You can purchase all Jelly on the Auction House, if you are looking to speed things up.
Obtain this item as soon as possible - Beeholder's Goggles will help greatly with efficiency. You could also buy Alluring Bloom, however you are often going to end up back at the hive regardless, especially if you have flying. Use all other Thin Jelly on reputation. Jelly Magnet from Honey Smahser is helpful too.

So umm, I couldn't find this information, so maybe some kind soul can tell - how many Tiny Jelly we need to give to the harvester to get the mount?
I farmed first 3500 points (700 tiny jelly) only to realise there is another level, and now I need to give him 1400 tiny jelly. How many levels there is?
I think not everyone starting this task realise how grindy this is. 100/hour of Tiny Jelly is a good score, so I would like to know how many days I have to grind for this mount. Thanks for replies in advance.

To made it easy to spam events i made this macro that suits me.

Where this macro just get the player position and send the message to the general channel (that is the /1) if your channel number is different tan 1 change the number at the end of the macro.

For anyone struggling like me to find the very first Jelly Deposit, it's just a bit SW of the hatchery. It was a small yellow version of the stuff you see all over the cave entrance, and it was not glistening like your usual interactive object.

Hitting exalted with Honeyback Hive does NOT count toward 100 Exalted Reputations or any derivative of the achievement.

I hit exalted with the Honeyback Hive faction today, but my Honeyback Harvester is still a juvenile. There is no quest. Am I missing something?

I've run two full circuits of SSV waypoints (about 90 minutes) and have found 9 thin jelly. At this rate, it will take me approximately 35 hours of flying around the valley to get the 2100 Also, didn't see a single one of the rares.

Honeyback Harvester doesn't show up as one of your reputation factions like this faction. Rather, when you interact with the Nascent Harvester, there's a red progress bar at the top of the window showing how much you have fed it.

Here's my relaxed strategy (as a level 60) to get this mount using minimal game time (but spread in real time):

Purchase the Pair of Bee Wings for 250 Polished Pet Charm to get the chain started & do the quests. You can also purchase Seabreeze Bumblebee on the auction house or ask a friend to buy & cage it. Farming Annealed Honey Amulet can take a long time, so that's not an option for a minimal game time strategy.
Kill Honey Smasher on a daily basis until you hit revered with Honeyback Hive. He rather frequently drops a Rich Jelly and a Royal Jelly, sometimes a Jelly Magnet. Save the Rich Jelly, until you have 20 of them. Feed any excess jelly to the Nascent Harvester. Don't bother wit bee events nor with flying around collecting Jelly before hitting revered (unless you see it passing by). In my opinion these are a huge waste of time (unless you want to rush getting the mount in real time, in which case this guide is not for you). This stage only takes a few minutes a day.
As soon as you hit revered, purchase the Beeholder's Goggles from Barry next to the hive for the 20 Rich Jelly you saved.
Collect jelly in Stormsong Valley using the Beeholder's Goggles and a Jelly Magnet in slots of 30 minutes until you've fully leveled your bee.
Be sure to trade Thin Jelly for Royal Jelly at Honeyback Hivemother prior to feeding it to your bee.

Some numbers:

To level the bee you need 3500 friendship for Nascent Harvester + 7000 friendship for Juvenile Harvester = 10500 friendship in total. This friendship can only be increased by turning in Jelly. To give you an idea, that's 2100 Thin Jelly or 525 Rich Jelly or 263 Royal Jelly. Turning in that amount of jelly is worth 42000 rep with the Honeyback Hive, which is enough to get you from 0 neutral to exalted.
From 0 neutral to revered will take you maximum 42 days of killing Honey Smasher
I had following drops when collecting Jelly using the Beeholder's Goggles and a Jelly Magnet

186 Thin Jelly, 11 Rich Jelly, 3 Royal Jelly = 1270 friendship = 5080 reputation
181 Thin Jelly, 5 Rich Jelly, 3 Royal Jelly = 1125 friendship = 4500 reputation
184 Thin Jelly, 11 Rich Jelly, 3 Royal Jelly = 1260 friendship = 5040 reputation
201 Thin Jelly, 8 Rich Jelly, 3 Royal Jelly = 1285 friendship = 5140 reputation
184 Thin Jelly, 7 Rich Jelly, 2 Royal Jelly = 1140 friendship = 4560 reputation
210 Thin Jelly, 16 Rich Jelly, 4 Royal Jelly = 1530 friendship = 6120 reputation

Play time estimate:

Kill Honey Smasher 42 times, 5 minutes each day = 3.5 hours
Level the bee from 0 to 10500 at an average of 1250 friendship/30min = 4.5 hours

So, within 8 hours play time you get the Honeyback Harvester's Harness. In real time it takes maximum 42 days. In reality it will take less time however, thanks to the drops from Honey Smasher, getting you to revered faster and leveling your bee already.

I did participate in a few bee events, but each of those took time and only rewarded few jellies (don't know if being level 60 had anything to do with it). Same for flying around collecting jelly without the Beeholder's Goggles: it felt very unrewarding.

Personally I waited too long and I was half past revered when I finally decided to spend some time harvesting Jelly. In the end, I flew around 3 hours to collect the Jelly I still needed to get the Honeyback Harvester's Harness.

I started doing this in BFA and then forgot about it in SL so went back to see where I was at with feeding the bee to try to finish it off. The nascent harvester is in the cave and I can click on it to see that I am 1/3 for feeding but I keep getting buzzed out of the cave and can't remember if it was like this when it was current content. I went and found some jelly thinking that might let me in but I can't feed it and get buzzed out again. Trying to figure out if there is something I need to do to be able to stay in the cave and be able to feed the bee...any ideas?

EDIT:
It seems that all progress I had made in BFA was gone and I had to start all over by talking to Barry, following the trail and getting access from the Hivemother. You are then allowed access again and able to feed the bee, it takes approx 2100 thin jelly to go from 0 to exalted and get the mount. If you don't want to spend the time farming the jelly you can buy it on the AH, roughly 47k for 2100 on Stormrage as of the date this post was created.
