Nascent Ruby Egg is in the first room nearby the dungeon entrance, behind the pillar, hide in grass.
Only one egg, everyone can pickup it, but suggest tank carry egg because achievement need you soak damage.
You will get debuff when you pickup it without negative effect, mount or dead will drop the egg, and it will disappear after 5 sec if nobody pickup it again.

Soak Hailbombs, become Chilled Ruby Egg with gray fog on the egg;
Soak Ritual of Blazebinding, become Seared Ruby Egg with red fog on the egg;
Soak Roaring Firebreath, become Tempered Ruby Egg and drop to the floor, can be target, keep losing health and healer should keep it alive until defeat Kyrakka and Erkhart Stormvein.

The achievement requires you to be hit by abilities from all three bosses in the dungeon, so if you haven't picked up the egg it will despawn after killing the first boss. This is one of those achievements that's worth doing it's own run for apart from the other 2 in case you wipe (especially on boss 2's achievement, as this is being posted on week one of DF).

As stated by Linodas, if you die OR MOUNT it will drop the egg. DO NOT MOUNT. That being said for all druids in here, none of our shapeshift forms have any effect including stag form. We can be mounted with the egg if it's ourselves.

The NPC that spawns when you soak the last mechanic is the Nascent Ruby Egg, it takes a lot of damage very quickly so our strategy for this achievement was to kill Erkhart and get Kyrakka very low then stop damage until a breath, spam heals on the egg and kill the dragon quickly.

Highly recommend a /tar Nascent Ruby Egg macro because it can be tricky to target since it is rather small and you have a very short about of time to start healing it. Bringing a paladin along for Lay on Hands bought us some extra seconds too. As a nice little bonus, after the achievement is earned and the bosses are dead there is a cute little red proto whelp that follows along behind the person who actually carried the egg through the dungeon.

Only one egg is to be found and everyone can pick it up, I carried the Egg as a tank because for the achievement you need to soak damage.
You will get a debuff when you pick it up. The debuff doesn't have any adverse effect, mounting up or dying will drop the egg, and it will disappear after 5 sec if nobody picks it up again.

Criteria:
On Mythic, defeat Kyrakka and Erkhart Stormvein after you have cooled, heated, tempered, and kept the Nascent Ruby Egg alive in the Ruby Life Pools.

Strategy:
For this, it is best if the tank picks up this egg, just to make it a bit easier. At the start of the dungeon, after the first mob, head on over to the pillars. Behind the right one, there will be a red egg that can be interacted with. After clicking the egg, the player will be debuffed and will be carrying the egg. During each boss encounter, the player will need to stand in mechanics to chill, sear, and temper the egg. Getting hit by Hailbomb's initial burst will work on the first boss. Simply stand under the swirly. For the second boss, the egg must be hit by the ritual of blazebinding created when the add is being summoned. On the final boss, the egg must be hit by the dragon's roaring fire breath. Do note that on the final boss, once the egg is tempered, it will drop and continue to take damage. The healer must be aware of this and keep it alive. Defeat the boss as normal.

Pro tip: Keep in mind that mounting and dying will cause you to drop the egg!

My group had alot of problems with this achievement...
We did the whole dungeon multiple times where the egg would just disappear randomly, even when we had it on focus.
Some addons can cause issues where you cant see the eggs nameplates, so my tip is to use a focus mouseover-macro.
Mouseover the egg and use the macro to set it as focus. Atleast have your healer do this.

As i said we had alot of issues where the egg would just disappear randomly. You can minimize this risk by doing small pulls and going at a slow and steady pace. Dont pull the entire dungeon.

First and second boss is very easy, but last one can be tricky:
Just stand in the white swirlies (Hailbombs) on Melidrussa Chillworn to have the egg chilled.
Soak the big swirley that spawns the add Ritual of Blazebinding on Kokia Blazehoof.
On last boss we killed Erkhart Stormvein ASAP to minimize the risk of having the tank one shot by Stormslam. After that we brought Kyrakka to 10% HP and waited for Roaring Firebreath to hit the tank and then we killed the boss. This way you dont need to heal the egg at all.

Good luck with the achievement and remember to clear the trash slowly!

My group had the egg despawn randomly once, despite nobody dying, and our tank never mounting up.

This achievement ended up being a lot easier than Kokia's, and we didn't even need to heal the egg. We kill Erkhart, and dropped Kyrakka to ~10% HP before finally hitting the egg with the final ability. The achievement triggered, and the egg was only the ground as a Nascent Ruby Egg for about ~4 seconds, but it ticked down to half HP pretty quick.

Unfortunately we had a couple of issues with this achievement.

On our first attempt the egg randomly despawned when I (the tank) 'mounted' the dragon to fly up from the first boss. On our second attempt we 'dropped' the egg to be healed on the first breath and our dps weren't able to burst down the boss fast enough. It becomes extremely difficult to heal over time so I suggest you wait for the second dragons breath to drop the egg.

On our third, and ''successful'' attempt the egg disappeared from my back after the second boss, but I still had the 'debuff' and my healer confirmed he could still see the egg on my back. We continued on and dropped the egg on the 2nd breath, killed the boss and the egg hatched a red proto hatchling which followed me around the instance afterwards.

We were however not granted the achievement.

I opened a ticket in hopes to not have to go back again next week or in another m+ key.
Unfortunately for now 'their ticket queues are extremely busy' and I received an automated reply suggesting we had done the achievement wrong.

Suppose we will just have to come back next week.

IF the egg visually disappears, but the player has still the debuff, just continue.
As soon as the last needed ability hits the player, the egg will spawn on the ground and will need to be healed til the fight is over.

Sad to say that despite hatching a tiny primal proto-drake, you do not get a pet for this achievement. :(

Instructions for Are You My Broodmother?: You can find the egg in the beginning of the dungeon behind the pillars. Ideally the person least likely to die carries it as dying at any time during the run will drop the egg and fail the achievement. In our case, the tank did the honors. The player carrying the egg cannot mount at any time as this will cause the egg to drop and the achievement has to be restarted. The player carrying the egg has to be hit by various boss abilities:
- On the first boss, the player has to be hit by hail bombs, the little white swirlies on the ground, and if done correctly the egg will then look like it has its own swirly around it.
- On the second boss, the egg carrier has to get hit by fire swirly on the ground, when the ritual of blazebinding is being cast, which will make the egg fiery and change appearance.
- On the last boss the egg carrier must be hit by the fire breath and this will finish off the achievement. In our case the tank dropped the egg after being hit by the fire breath and getting the boss at low health, and the healer healed up the egg until the boss was finished off.

I've done this achievement many times. Egg does not disappear. We keep it alive, it hatches and still no credit. 4/27/2023

I play a guardian druid and for the life of me I couldn't get this achievement to work. got into a group and the DK took the egg, worked no problem. I believe it has to do with shapeshifting after the first boss to ride the dragon would make it bug out.

It appears that the egg will also break if the person holding it gets targeted by the Blazebound Destroyer's Living Bomb ability.

Easy to do if you have a heavy hitting trinket like Beacon to the Beyond. Just get the bosses to around 10% each and avoid the breaths. Once they're both low enough, stand in a breath and cast beacon and both bosses will die instantly before the egg can take enough damage to die and you get the achievement

If you're having problems with the Nascent Ruby Egg debuff suddenly vanishing, it's likely that your Nascent Ruby Egg is running out of health from getting hit by Living Bomb while you're fighting the Blazebound Destroyers before Kokia Blazehoof.

What makes this especially tricky is that until you have created the final Tempered Ruby Egg at Kyrakka, it cannot be healed. This means that you need to make sure the egg gets hit with as few Living Bombs as possible; it can only survive 5 hits from the ability.

If the egg does not get hit by either the hail bomb or the ritual before their respective boss dies the egg will instantly break.

My group messed up two weeks because we confused the ritual with the blaze add's death cast (the giant circle he casts) and thought something was broken. I know this is entirely user error but thought it was worth sharing.
