Mushrooms are untargetable untill boss is engaged, they are located on the inner edge of the path surrounding the arena.

Once picked up you can plant them with extra button and let the tank destroy it with Decaystrike.
Destroying a mushroom leaves a 20 sec DoT that stacks, so don't destroy all at once.

For anyone looking for the shrooms.
They are in the silence zone UPSTAIRS of the boss
You can run around and the area near the shroom has no silence zone.
Get to them before the fight, pull the boss, loot and jump down.
Plant them infight 1 at a time and let the boss hit them.
If they die you get a 20s debuff that hits kinda hard.

Learned the hard way that, if you kill 1 mushroom during the fight at wipe for example, you have to reset the dungeon.
The mushrooms reset but are not clickable after being destroyed.

Mushroom locations confused my group for a bit, but they're located at the front of the 3 arches as you're facing the boss, the middle arch mushroom is over to the front right.

the mushrooms aren't targetable until the boss is pulled
only explode one mushroom at a time with Decaystrike, wait for the 20 second DoT to expire before destroying another
plant the mushrooms away from each other to avoid destroying more than 1 and stacking the DoT

The method we used:

3 dps walk up the path and wait by the mushrooms (sometimes hard to find but there IS a safe zone)
tank and healer wait for members to be in position
tank pulls boss, dps grabs mushrooms and jump down
dps plant mushrooms where they land
tank stands behind mushroom for Decaystrike
wait 20 secs for DoT to fall off
repeat last 2 points for other mushrooms
achievement earned

Criteria:
Defeat Decatriarch Wratheye after finding and planting three Resilient Mushrooms, then destroying them with Decaystrike in Brackenhide Hollow on Mythic difficulty.

Strategy:
This achievement also benefits from having players with mobility. There are three locations above the boss’s room where mushrooms will be interactable after the encounter starts. Players must grab said mushrooms and bring them into the arena. An extra action button will appear, and players can then “plant” the mushrooms. The tank will have to aim the boss’s Decaystrike at the planted mushrooms. Once the mushrooms are struck, eliminate them, and defeat the boss as normal.

Pro tip: Destroying a mushroom leaves a 20 second DoT effect on players. It is recommended that you do not destroy all the mushrooms at once.

Find the 3 safezones first, mark them, Mushroom spawn very next to it

We had to much dmg incoming when we did the shrooms 1 by 1,
so we stacked them in the middle when we started the encounter.
At 15% we destroyed all 3 at the same time and nuked boss down. (fight is over at 5%)
We did it on our first try

The Resilient Mushroom interactive only when Wratheye is in combat, so you should stand near by the mushroom at first, to make sure you can pick up it when encounter start at.

Once mushroom get destroy, it will cast Fungal Matter when dead, can do 30k damage every 1.5sec, cannot dispel but can remove by immue skill.

I make a 2 part video to show 2 way done this achievement, first is destroy them one by one, second is nuke them in once, CDs+immue+lust nuke.
2nd way is better if you have strong healer or many immues, but I suggest the best way is: plant mushrooms at same position , pull boss to 10% then destory them same time by one Decaystrike, the encounter will end when Wratheye 5%. Healer and DDer just need try keep damage and alive by use skills until encounter end, even all 4 die we still have tank solo to end this fight.

NOTICE:
to destroy the mushroom, make sure tank is stand behind the mushroom. Stand in front of it may cause Decaystrike missing.
There was probably a bug make you cannot destroy mushroom if you pick and plant again once you already plant it. so plant it to the right position which your team designated.
Mushroom will respawn if you already plant them but failed this encounter, so no worrie for try.

Instructions for So You Can Kill This in a Way That Matters...: You need to defeat Wratheye after finding and planting 3 resilient mushrooms in front of the boss and destroying them with Decaystrike. These mushrooms can be found in the marked spots as shown in the video linked above. Surrounding these the floor is greenish and does continuous damage to you, but this damage can be avoided by standing right at the edge in front of the mushrooms. Once the boss fight starts, you can interact with the mushrooms, take them down and plant them in the same spot, ideally a marker is placed beforehand, and the tank must position the boss to cast decaystrike on them, then just nuke the boss.

not soloable b/c if you leave the area to grab the mushroom..she follows you and then despawns.
Another stupid "requires group" achievement. Had same problem soloing the first achievement where you try to free the chief ...you are constantly being interupted as the tank as you try to open the cage.

Soloable as a 845 mage on 1/6/2024. Positioning and high damage is what matters.

I like to try do tasks that are difficult to solo, it's a personal challenge. All brakenhide achievements can be solo (at least as a mage).
Growlbossify needs you to kill the two melee bosses, have mirror images tank the ranged boss while you free the chief and give him the items.
All Bark All Bite just requires you to use Ice Cold before getting eaten and then killing the boss.

This one took me a few days of experimenting, but this is what i did.

Important Talents: Mirror Image CD reduction, all the Ice Block talents (not ice cold) and Displacement.

I started by the right mushroom. I summoned the water elemental and moved him down the hill, into the arena and attacked the boss, initiating combat and tanking the boss.
Use blink (you don't move since you're near a cliff)
Pick up mushroom and fall into the arena
Drop mushroom
Displace back up the cliff
Run near the middle mushroom and use Alter Time
Pick up mushroom, drop it on top of the 2nd mushroom
Mirror image and Mass Barrier (barrier does apply to images and elemental that should still be alive)
Icelance the boss to make sure mirror images started attacking it
shifting power, which should fully channel and then alter time expires, warping you back on top
run to the last mushroom, drop it with the other two.
Boss should use decay strike on your mirror image, which should be on top of the other mushrooms. You get 3 stacks of the debuff.
I killed a totem before getting very low, ice block for the full 10 seconds. Double Lust right after
Kill second totem, cold snap to have ice block again in 20 seconds.

Health pots, blinks, alter time, do whatever you need to do to stay alive. His melees are what wreck. Shifting power again as soon as available. Ice Block as soon as it is available, which should fully heal you and dodge a decaying strike again. Mirror images should be up again and elemental. Boss needs to die very quickly.

Very hard achievement to do alone, but if you're stubborn, its possible as a mage. I imagine any geared pet class should be able to do this solo.

As mentioned by zeromous1337, it's not that hard to solo as a BM Hunter (478 at that time).
Pet tanks boss and is pretty easy to heal.
Be sure to kill all totems as a priority.
Have your speed CDs available and grab mushroom just after killing a totem (to avoid having a totem pop while you are running around).

I found it easier to stack all 3 mushrooms together and take down boss to around 10% (be careful, the encounter ends around 5%)
Then I positioned pet in front of mushrooms for Decaystrike.
As soon as it hits and you see triple debuffs, pop all CDs and burst the boss up (you will die within a couple of seconds).

You can also do one mushroom at a time and wait for DoT to wear off.
However, I felt like I couldn't heal enough for that strat on the long run.
