"Engineering naturally gets of a lot of bombs and explosives"Hoping for a freaking Iron man hand/chest blast lol
I have two active RAF accounts but ain't bothered by the XP changes. Originally I've created them for the RAF mounts but then realized it's very useful to have one only for AH. Seeing how lucrative it is, I'm gonna keep it subbed. I wanted to gain a few levels from it since it's RAF but there are too much restrictions on level granting for me to be able to gain any advantage.
"Is there anything that you would like to see added in addition to what has already been datamined?"There were some mechanical hover/robot mounts in the datamined screenshots. One was a different Mimiron mount look-alike which I would assume is from an instance. But a few were goblin-ish and were basically recolors of the same model. My bet is they will be all be Engineering mounts (a bunch of versions like the Jewel Panthers). Those will be sought after, and even if they won't be tradeable (which would be a shame), they will require a decent amount of resources to collect them all. I'll try and stock up on mats for that market, or if you could sell the mounts, level up engineering on a couple of alts and craft and sell away.
Im leveling alts and maxing professions, i echo what that person said about the blacksmithing core hound as i too am making a few to sell next year
I got into goldmaking about a month ago I think (learning TSM shopping operations etc to flip stuff). Although I have 3M gold, I'm looking forward to playing the start of the new expansion as a real goblin and try to make some big money. Maybe I'll start with an alt to get into the tailoring bag market this time. Not sure what I can do best to prepare for BfA, need to think about that some more the coming months.
The "Lazy Goldmaking" post was just what I needed this week. I've been fairly discouraged as of late with my intro to goldmaking on the AH, since I am also on a low-pop server, so that was very helpful mentally for my own process.
I am going now to max all my professions.
I tend to agree with /u/Ex_iledd that Blood of Sargeras has the most profit potential. I originally thought Primal Sargerite would fill this role, but my margins on Empyrial Breastplate have been disappointing to say the least. Boon of the Bloodhunter remains the best value shoulder enchant, at least for Blacksmithing.
Inscription will finally be usable? Sweet!
Hmm, probably going to wait until there's more info out before i pick professions to run with when this releases.
Currently at 9 110's, doing Emisarries, maxing class hall stuff, etc. has netted me quite a bit. Don't forget about your bacon/herb/mining World Quests!
Fellow Goblins,As a recent convert to more-serious-than-ever-but-not-too-serious gold-making, I find myself out of the gather/craft/sell routine and into the world of opportunistic buying/crafting/selling. As far as BFA, I'm really excited, not only to experience new content, but also to find ways to make cash for my alt-aholic nature (three servers full of toons since first beta). BFA opens some interesting opportunities for all professions, but I will most likely stick with my alchy and jeweler for most of my goblin activity. 32-slot bags? Do you have to ask? Of course. After I make enough for my alts, that is...As far as possible ideas, I'd love to see the dead professions awakened in 8.0. Engineering started off fun and even sometimes worthwhile, but it became uninteresting and self-serving a long time ago. Truly, I'd love to see professions linked more to racial abilities and classes. Maybe some combination of how certain flasks react to different races, or how gems benefit classes differently. It's been a dream of mine for a while. Habs
I am pretty excited about the skill level squish. I think it'll bring a breath of fresh air to the staleness of professions. As for myself, it'll provide the ability to delve into most current crafting markets with my alts, as I'm usually only focused on the enchanting/alchemy combo of my main. That aside, every year during thanksgiving I keep thinking about buying a couple battle chests for auto-RAFing with the sole purpose of getting all those nice mounts. The leveling part doesn't really move me one way or the other.
I have a few RAF accounts, but they were all started to get the mount/pet rewards! I usually use my main account with alts to generate gold. As such, the RAF changes affected me minimally.
Some great stuff as always. Interesting about the profession level squish, I wonder how this will affect those professions in the future. I'll need to find some things to farm gold once the xpac off season begins.
What excites you about the upcoming expansion professions? Is there anything that you would like to see added in addition to what has already been datamined? Will you be kitting out your characters with 32 slot bags as soon as they're available?I am excited for upcoming gold opportunity! trying to figure out what will make the most gold and predicting, is really fun. I haven't started my gold making adventure yet but this may be a great opportunity to get started ! I wish more profession quests would come out to make me have more of a connection to the new items and my profession, I felt like that in Legion, I hope it continues! I also wish first ade would be relevent again ebcause no one uses bandages anymore. Only potions and healthstones.I might not be getting the 32 bag slots but then again my bags are always filled with gear that I have no clue if it is good for me or not. >> PLus i wish things like the treasure maps would be automatic in a zone like a buf, because the 5 maps from legion treasures are taking up 5 spots! They need to change it to like a buff when they buy it! That way when you go into the zone, you would automatically see the treasures or can opt to turn tracking of it off.
Worried as to how my professions will carry on in BfA, especially the ones with all the old rare recipes
My main is a tailor/enchanter, so I naturally end up leveling those professions first. These professions also tend to be profitable even for a not-so-goblinesque player, as making enchants from the plethora of mats I get just for doing content pays off nicely. For tailoring, being able to make bags helps. The cheap legion cloth has helped me deck all of my alts on server out with 20+ slot bags, and in my experience, that is plenty. Right now, I've been working on setting up my 10 110 alts as goldmaking classhalls, mostly passively generating gold atm. My goldmaking goal is to try and hit the 1.5mil on my bank alt, and get enough funds to buy the Army of the Light exalted mount(500k for the Ligthforged warframe) on my main as well.
As I don't have an alt with alchemy, who can transmute sorcerous to earth, I was considering taking it with my first alt for the sake of wasted sorcerous. As a backup plan, I keep doing primal spirit /gar. resources missions in order to sell it for mats needed for crafting bags.I was considering that before reading the news about BfA professions and now I'm strongly inclined to take engineering-mining on my first alt and inscription-herb on a 2nd alt who should be an allied race. Probably would be too expensive and not a good idea if took both of them on my 1st alt right now. But I hate farming ore/herbs, so maybe it's a better idea starting with ENG-MIN and replacing MIN with INS when the game launches (did something similar on main - dropped mining for tailoring).
