For me, this one was painfully easy to complete in under 30 minutes. I used Searing Scorchling, Celestial Dragon and Shimmering Wyrmling the entire time.

All 3 of these pets do massive damage, and you can change their specs around if you happen to engage in battle and see a lot of down arrows. The addon Pokemon Trainer is indispensible with providing this information.

The pets are of epic quality, with the final tamer having pets of legendary quality. Do NOT be intimidated by this, these pets do not hit any more harder than any rares. A lot of these pets are critters/beasts/elementals, so mechanical pets are great for this. Mechanical gnome, I used Railgun, the healing ability and build turret for the beasts. Searing scorchling, I used breath, scorched earth and conflagrate. Shimmering Wyrmling, I used feedback, amplify magic and mana surge.

A lot of these abilities are neutral toward the enemy pets. The Wyrmling is completely destructive towards the flying types.

Might want to level the three of these up... if you can't obtain a searing scorchling, a the fel flame and spirit of summer are excellent alternatives. The three of them have nearly-identical abilities. Clockwork Gnome is super-easy to farm since the likelihood of getting this as an archaeology rare is very high. On my server they sell for fairly cheap, as do the other 2]

Shimmering Wyrmling requires honored with Sunreavers and Silver Covenant to use in companion form. However, if you buy it under the Battle pets section on the AH, no rep requirements whatsoever ! I was friendly with Silver Covenant when I purchased this pet.

In order to do this achievement, you need to beat:
Aki the Chosen
Which will also give you a achievement I Choose You that was added in 5.1.0

The achievement will give you mail by Aki the Chosen, who also sends you a Heavy Sack of Gold with 3,000 gold inside.

If you did this achievement before I Choose You was added in 5.1.0, then the next character you log in gets the gold.

I logged onto a horde alt when all my characters were alliance, and that gold is going to really help out.

You have to complete Taming Cataclysm before getting access to these quests!

Going through the quests which start at Audrey Burnhep or Varzok, one will encounter the following tamers:

Hi Gang! I haven't ever posted on wowhead but had to after this mess! If you are stuck and cannot get this quest with any of your characters in 2023 (dragonflight) the reason is that you have no characters in the Cataclysm Phase of the game. I have confirmed now that this works with Panda and every other phase as well. I had done literally everything and nothing worked.

The trick is to get a toon to Stormwind or Org and change your phase by talking to Chromie to the correct timeline. So for me I couldn't get the Taming Cataclysm quest to show up no matter what I did, including starting a lvl 1 character and running him to Stormwind. What I had to do was change the phase to Cataclysm. After completing that I was unable to get taming Pandaria. I did this by having the same character talk to Chromie and change the phase to Pandaria! I hope this helps!

Can anyone enlight me ?

I can't start any fight for this achievement. I have done Taming Cataslysm, i've tried to come with a toon in Pandaria timewalking, but no matter what, I can't fight any of them... What am I missing ?
