~~I mistakenly believed the mount would work whilst phase diving, it doesn't.~~ It doesn't fly, but it does turn me pink which I enjoyed.
EDIT: Rank 4 cloak should unlock riding according to it's tootip.

Achievement took around 4-5 hours.

Which I think is about 29.79% drop rate for the transmog.

Felt the orbs work like snake, where you grab one, another one spawns elsewhere. If you can't find any, there is probably a place you haven't been to in a while. The tiny island has a few, and the tiny island where you upgrade your cloak has some as well.

Also, the achievement for me showed all completed, but did not complete, this is because of a bug which only showed 27 pieces of transmog, missing the claw.

So after running around in the phase for several hours, here's all I know:

Phase-Diving orbs require you to be in phase diving and have the Reshii Wraps at rank 3 (Secrets of the Depths unlocked, aka 6 total strands)
There is always at least one up, somewhere, but multiple are around
Multiple people cannot get the same orb
The chance of getting a weapon appears to be about 20%
The weapon is random, and you always get one you don’t already have learned
The Claw doesn't show up on the achieve list but you do need it for a total of 28 weapons

Various strats include just running around, server hopping at a spot or cluster of spots. Overlook, Tazavesh, and north of Shan'dorah seem to have good amounts that are relatively frequent

The Phase-Diving orbs can be seen about 100 yards away.

I have luckily joined a new phase thanks to the raid boss, 95% of all spawn points had an orb.

You'll need 2nd upgrade of the cloak (707 ilvl, 3 level).
It took me around 200 orbs and 4+ hours of joining random World Boss raids to make this achievement.
Join, teleport any point, look around (it's usually 1-2 orb spots on each teleport), run through the orb (no need to click, just run) and/or port to the next.
It's 27 weapons in the achievement list, but actually it's 28. Phase-Lost Claw is not in the list, but you'll need it for the achievment too. Small indie company...

Just finished this achievement after about 4 hours of farming. I had 49 Phase-Lost Detritus in my bag, meaning I looted 77 orbs and had a weapon drop rate of 36.3%. YMMV of course

Some tips:

Doing this on a stealth class makes it way easier. Looting the orbs does not break stealth, nor does learning the weapon appearance from your bags.

I had a lot of luck in the phased area of Tazavesh. The higher mob density here meant I didn't have as much competition from non-stealth classes.

Most of the Phase Conduit teleportation spots have 1 or more potential spawns within direct eyesight when you teleport in. After I did a loop of Tazavesh, I teleported to each of the pads to check for spawns.

Always check both on top of and under the bridges.

Overlook Zo'Shuul (aka cloak island) has at least 5 potential spawn points, and you can do a loop to check them all in about 20 seconds.

You can speed your search up by realm-hopping using world boss groups.

I just completed this achievement in about 2.5 hours

Make sure your Reshii Wraps have Secrets of the Depths (ilv 707 cloak) if not do world quests and stuff until you do
Touch a phase conduit to phase dive
Teleport between these four: Overlook Zo'Shuul, Hosaas' Rest, Shan'dorah, and Naakroa Each of these points has 2 orbs that can spawn
Use party finder -> Raids - The War Within, search for parties that are forming for Reshanor, the Untethered to phase and check the locations listed above

Also, towards the end of this farm I noticed that I shared loot with people in the raid finder, so I suspect you could technically make a raid and have people stationed at most of the current known spawn points and farm fast that way as well but I no longer have reason to try. Good luck! ^w^

Took 2½ hour to get them all, was nice on a hunter with FD.
I didn't bother running around. I just joined World Boss groups, or Quest groups in the zone. Then teleported around to the 10 Phase Conduits where you can see the orbs right away.

Ended up with 127 Phase-Lost Detritus when I had the 27 cosmetics. That is 154 lootings in total. So for me the cosmetic had a 17.5% drop chance.

Hopping shards with Rashanor groups is definitely the way to go. However the suggested strategies here of teleporting between Phase Conduits seem to be very competitive and I saw many of the same names constantly joining groups and also teleporting around. It was difficult to find any orbs.

I had much better success in just farming the 9 spawns in Tazavesh, usually on every single hop 5-8 of them would be up. I had already 8 of the transmogs when moving there and completed the last 20 in less than an hour. Tank or stealth class is the way to go cause there is a lot of mobs.

I've looted about 50 of these orbs so far on my druid with the 707ilvl cloak. I have not gotten a single transmog and just got the Phase-Lost Detritus. Am I just unlucky or is my account bugged you think?

This worked well for me. I started at Lunnall River (join WB raid) then ran to 63,39 through the purple area. The orb at 63,39 is there 50-65%% of the time. You might pick one or two orbs along the way. Leave group , join another WB raid and run back down to Lunnall River portal. Don't forget to check the bridge behind the portal.

i found a way to get orbs
1. first level your cloak to level 3 in delves
2. second uprade cloak
3. go to 1 location and stand in 1 orb spot in a hour
4. shard hop
5. keep keep doing it

if u surrounded by mob near orb use a rogue and a druid
and flip alts to different another 1 location to log off and swap to another character if its a crowed area of ppl stand near orb goes very competitive gl!

if u get a achievement bug that mean keep farming it that u missing

this is why people don't tell you this in the comment

Took me roughly 2 hours to gather all the weapons, but I did it very late/early in the morning when it was less active. I also did it on a shaman and had a speed potion up the whole time, which definitely sped things up. I did a bit of realm hopping but not too much, as I found that any group I joined would have several other people farming in similar spots.

I did a mix of running around Tazavesh and hopping to basically all of the teleport points, and I would say Tazavesh had the most consistent spawns and surprisingly seemed less busy than jumping around to the popular spots. I would recommend checking out the spawn points off the beaten path, as there were times I would get 4-6 orbs in a row quickly going to a cluster of spawns not near a teleport point. In the end it took me 87 orbs to finish it all, so a 33% drop rate.

Took about 4-5 hours without a coordinates addon.
Starting in the morning and ending in the afternoon, on a full server.
The last part took noticeably longer as I would walk routes pilfered by others.

I combined both laps around tezavesh and scanning a few outposts.

I also switched between horde and alliance once in a while.

Just finished it in about 2h30.
Hosaa's rest ( from phase conduit to the end of the ruins then go back) and Fracture of Laacuna (clockwise to Shan'dorah phase conduit then go back to the Fracture's conduit) are great places to farm while realm hopping.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the theming of these weapons. Going by the in-world explanation of what Untethered Space is, it would be easy to assume these weapons fell through the cracks in reality through many ages, from many different places.

So anyone that finished the collection and does not get the achievement, this is why. Just keep collecting orbs and you will eventually get the hidden apperance.

I kept all my Phase-Lost Detritus while gathering so that I could keep track of how long it took me to do this, and ended up getting my last transmog item immediately after my 100th Phase-Lost Detritus.

This means that there was about a ~21.26% drop rate of the transmogs.

Looking at the other percentages reported here, it seems it's probably about an average of 20%.

I started out on my hunter with not much success. Then I read that someone had a pretty easy time on their rogue. I switched to my rogue and was able to complete the achievement in about 4 hours. I did it in the early morning hours and there were no raids I could join to realm hop. I copied a bunch of way points and just followed them around and around until I got everything. Stealth mode worked great. No mobs to worry about.

Got this done in about 3-4ish hours. Looted 115 Detritus before getting all the mogs required.

By far the easiest way to do this is to camp an orb spawn point and realm hop to find the ones that are up. I found an out of the way quiet spot where two orbs spawned within a few seconds run from each other to help speed the grind up.

Lots of groups forming to farm world bosses so there is no shortage of groups that are very temporary to join.

Took me 95 orbs, which took around 3 hours. Respawn rate didn't seem too bad - by the time I'd lapped most of the co-ords given by other people here (excluding Tazavesh, as there's a lot of spawns but also a lot of combat required), some of the ones I did early in the previous run were back up.

If you're not someone who cares about having things asap, it may be more efficient to wait until your Reshii Wraps cloak is Rank 4, as that gives a chance for orbs to drop on kills, meaning less running around and fighting other people for spawns.

Tried running around and tried server hopping for orbs, server hopping at the spot of one or a few orbs is infinitely better.

In about 1hr of camping at /way 45.74, 51.55

I got 60 ish orbs with server hopping in the world boss group, Also it seems you CAN get two at once but it's very rare

this was not worth it for me. I did 2 ~30 min sessions and only got one item in 50 orbs. idk if something changed in maintenance this am

Took about 3 to 4 hours total. I had 117 phase-lost detritus so all in all, I collected 144 orbs. I mainly stuck around the teleporters as there are usually a couple near them but I also went around the upper section of the map near the raid and was able to get quite a few along that upper path. I started at the teleporter near the raid and ended at the one near Shan'dorah as there are 3 there. It may also help to join groups in different shards to get some orbs to appear or farm the orbs when less people are online.

That's my spot for farming. From there you got a nice view of orb near the southern conduit and one in between the ruins. I was able to get the achievement in less than 2 hours. I'm sure that's a huge matter of luck but still, not many people there so go ahead and squeeze as much as possible!

Wear your Level 3+ Reshii Wraps before starting this achievement, and you must be phase diving. It is extremely helpful to complete this achieve on a character that can stealth to avoid all the mobs. None of the mobs have Truesight. I did not opt for the shard hopping route, preferring the traditional method.

Other items of note:

Completion of an item only shows after the xmog is learned.
Phase orbs are un-targetable.
The moment you run through the orb, an item will appear in your bags. You will either receive Phase-Lost Detritus or an xmog. I did not receive any duplicate xmog pieces. In total I received 59 Phase-Lost Detritus making it roughly 45% chance an xmog will drop on any orb.
I have found orbs are generally around populated areas instead of open expanses. Use the portal to hop from one place to another.
It will take a while, it took me 2hr 58min to complete non-stop.
If you are an achieve hunter, Secrets of the K'areshi is a good pair to do this with. I found several items while running around for orbs.

Took me 110 orbs to finish, seems like the average is around 100, all in all these really aren't hard to find at all. They have a pretty good spawn rate, I will say it is worth going throuhg the three giant bulidings on shadow point as they have a chance to spawn orbs. Followed by theres an orb where the world quest phase boss is on the far right side on the cliff.

The way I did it personally too was I just put on something to watch in the background, and just ran in a circular fashion teleporting to each phase point to search for orbs. Took me about 3 hours to get all that I needed, not a bad grind at all for a mount TBH.

Advice - camp the spawn points at Fracture of Laccuna and the 1 point near the hand in guy of reshii wraps theres about 8 spawn points plus check the bridges near any of the phase conduits.

I just finished it last night with 127 orbs. I spent most time in Tazavesh. Prowling in Cat Form at ground mount speed. Don't have to exit prowl for anything.

finished this in about 2 hours with the waypoints provided.
placing a 2nd Account on a Orb Spawn helped alot got like 9 Weapons and 0 Detritus on that Account.
Running around with a fast class like DH or Monk was also pretty helpfull.

Interesting to note that if you're shard hopping using Reshanor groups and end up lagging badly you can use this to run back and forth through an orb multiple times, if it's a weapon orb it will give you multiple appearances.

Don't usually comment on these things but if you're looking to actively farm rather than camp, there's at least 16 orbs I found right by or within 20 seconds or so of the teleporters. I'm sure there are more, but these were the ones I regularly spotted.

Ruins of Yaathron - one just up the steps, another one on the left side of the circular ruins
Hosaas' Rest - one on the trailer on the left side of the dock thing, one on the dock
Naakroa - one right by the teleporter on a rock, one in front of the "main" building of the ruins, one on a rock NE of the teleporter, about 20 seconds run away.
Lunnall River - one on the bridge, one under the bridge
North Sufaad - one on the bridge, one under the bridge
The Oasis - on the ship right by the teleporter
Overlook Zo'Shuul - one on the edge right behind the Reshii Wraps Upgrader, then do a 180 and there's one where it looks like a vendor should be (in that market stall thing)
Shan'dorah - one on the dock, one on the square shaped block on the outside of the circle structure

Like I said, I'm sure there's more than this but you can check all these spots in about a couple of minutes or so then realm hop with World Boss groups. Took me maybe 2 hours total farming time.

96 orbs later...I can confirm this mount DOES NOT currently allow you to ride while phased with a rank 2 cloak...apparently rank 3 is what you need to be able to ride while phased.

If you are a Rogue / Druid with stealth, you can easily farm this in Tazavesh, as neither collecting the orbs nor collecting the transmogs cancel stealth. I saw no one else farming the orbs there, the mobs are probably too annoying for other classes. This is the route I used: https://imgur.com/a/JMJ5Kdc

I switched phases via world boss groups at the start and at the end of the route. Every third route I did on my own realm, which was perfect for orb respawn. In total, I collected 119 orbs for all appearances. Have fun!

The method I found works best was shard-hopping (via WB groups) at /way 72.95 10.94. Basically it's the small island in the far north of the map. There are 2 orbs that spawn within sight of each other so long as you park yourself in-between them. But the real beauty of this spot is that the Phase conduits (those teleport pads that allow you to phase dive) on this island aren't like all the other phase conduits in the zone. There are 2 on the island, but neither one of them are actually connected to the rest of the phase conduit network (they do not allow teleportation at all). Which means you cut out a huge portion of the playerbase who are randomly teleporting all over the place to hoover up orbs nearby, since the only way to get to this island is via manually flying.

Just finished it. Achievement did not pop, no mount. Reloading and relogging did nothing. Re-starting the game didn't do anything either. Love this buggy game :) Put in another ticket. Been at it for hours and this happens in the end. Anti climactic af.

Ok my achievement did not pop when i got all the Phase-lost items. But when i hunted more orbs, the second orb gave me Phase-Lost Claw and caused me to pop the achievement!
So when more of you have the buggy problem with this achievement, just take some more orbs :D

Done it in one day. Here's some tips.

- install TomTom, go to General settings and set the 'Clear waypoint distance' to 0. All new points since then will not disappear upon arriving;
- copy all the coords from here and /ttpaste them;
- run across all of them but remember that the spheres spawn not that fast as you run the route and don't be bothered by other players cause the spheres you see are all yours;
- you'll have a lot of time to do all but one list items in Remnants of a Shattered World;
- at least one Phase-Lost mog is absent in the list, it was Phase-Lost Claw for me;
- when done don't forget to set the 'Clear waypoint distance' to default value.

Good luck getting Phase-Lost Slateback.

Easy achievement and mount to get. The best strategy is to install a weakaura to mark them on your map and use a mobile, stealth class, to collect them. Just server hop using the world boss groups to collect them.

Took me a few hours, with a break in between.

I needed 125 orbs in order to get the achievement and the mount.
Around each phase conduit, there are only a few orbs, so keep moving to get more. Camping is only useful, if you have lots and lots of time, since the orbs seem to have a spawn timer of 20-30 minutes.

And now I need a break from all the sparkles and purple... ^^;;

I just got it now, close to 200 orbs total if I were to guess, on a slow class, so don't get disheartened when you see people getting it after only 100 :P I really recommend getting the "Phase-Lost Slateback Mount Map Markers" Weak Aura if you just wants something to guide you a little bit. This mount is amazing and I hope in the future it can fly! :D

I did this in about 2 - 2 1/2 hours. I hopped on my Shaman and cruised around in ghost wolf on the upper island and did laps counter-clockwise starting at the Shan'Dorah flight path. If there weren't any orbs after a few spawn points or i saw another player, I would server hop using groups for the world boss. I would pop out of phase diving and fly the southern leg since there is nothing leg. This seemed to be a lot easier than hoping all over the different island chasing spawn.

Here is the path I used. I just keep repasting the zone 3 coordinates from MelodieX's post until had all the spawn points memorized.

Finished this in 124 orbs. Part of my time was spent AFK, but the vast majority was just running laps around Tazavesh.

Keep your chin up, the items exist! It's time consuming, but really isn't too terrible of a grind with some music, videos, or friends to chat with.

Done in about 109 orbs, honestly I just went to the other islands and visited Tazavesh rarely to do a lap as most people are trying to do the Tazavesh lap currently.

Was way faster just running around the other islands and took like me like 1 hour 30 mins.

One of the perks for this achievement is going to a dead and/or dying RP server (Cenarion Circle, Earthen Ring, Argent Dawn, Wyrmrest Accord -- That last one basically died once everyone went to Moon Guard, it's a shade of its former glory at least Alliance side; no Horde really hang out in Silvermoon or Thunder Bluff anymore. Whatever, moving on) and the orbies are basically everywhere. Early, mid-day, evening? A bunch are guaranteed to be up. Following Nellibean's coordinates got me this mount casually within two days.

There is a cluster of orbies at the Manaforge Omega raid entrance, at the top of the ramp. Definitely check that out.

If you weren't aware of the phase-pads that phase you in, you can also use those in-phase to immediately teleport to another phase-pad wherever you've discovered them. Easier to commute around while searching for these babies. Best of luck!

You dont need to own this mount to be able to use it in phase diving.
You just need your cloak at rank 4 and you can mount up when you are in phase diving.

You would think Blizzard would eventually learn that with these "Collect X-Number rare items from some widget on a long respawn timer" achievements that nobody (at least nobody in the know) is going to spend weeks farming them, they are just going to park themselves in front of where one or two spawn and use the group finder to instance hop so they can knock them out in a hour.

It really reminded me of the Time-lost Hippogryph hunt, except this one felt way more rewarding. Awesome for transmog addicts, and you get a very unique mount.

Warlocks! Make sure you do not learn any of the 2 handed swords, maces or polearms if you want them for your fel guard to hold. I can confirm that you will indeed eventually get 2 copies of any weapon you don't learn on the same character. It adds a little bit of time to finishing the achievement but it's well worth it, especially for that polearm!

Got the achievement in 85 orbs, so either I've been lucky or the drop chance was increased at some point. What worked for me was realm hopping by joining Reshanor World Boss WQ groups and gathering the two orbs on the Vanquisher's Wake northernmost island (basically where the PvP WQ takes place). Basically, what user DCCXVIII suggested in the comment section.

Also, all focus is on the achievement and the mount reward, but some of those transmog weapon appearances are pretty neat.

While following this route you will sometimes find Untethered Xy'bucha on the ground around the pylon buildings (they will glow), these massively increase your run speed so I never bothered to mount and just ran the route. It lasts for 15m and I would generally find 1-2 per loop so I ended up with more than I used.
I start in front of the raid entrance as that is a 3 spawn and when I got back to it I would hop in LFG and join a World Boss group to join a new phase. Run the route, drop group, join another, rinse and repeat. Took me about an hour and a half to get em all.

Anyone know the math behind the chances to get an xmog vs junk?

I need one more xmog from the list for the achievement but have now picked up 25 orbs with just gray junk in them.

I have had streaks where i received 5 or 6 xmog achievement items in a row then 9 or 10 grays but this seems odd.

Other people already have put out coordinates, but here are macros to get it all at once. I have 10, but you could easily combine these into less by removing the names.
I would HEAVILY advise doing this on a rogue. As an outlaw rogue I run about as fast as a mount while in stealth because of the general speed buff. You can just stealth between all the points easily. No mobs have truesight.

Another tip, if you are far from the teleporter and not in a mop camp, you can click off the phase diving buff and fly over to the closest teleporter and go to your next spots instantly. Saved me a ton of time.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned, but killing mobs while phased can also spawn orbs. I've looted a couple of appearances from different ones. I can't recall the names, but the large elites that spawn around the docks at Shadow Point (as well as other spots around Karesh) have dropped the Phase-Lost Blunderbuss and Phase-Lost Bardiche, and an Enraged K'arroc Shade at the Lunnall River, roughly at 67.94, 48.13, dropped the Phase-Lost Great Mace.

Take stuff out along the way, and you might literally walk into a surprise appearance.

Before I got all the items I looted 71 gray items. Also made 200k gold on 2nd account while doing this farm, listing Ragnaros skip runs during Timewalking and getting 1-4 tips per run.

This is a really great use of Untethered Xy'bucha if you have some left over from doing the K'aresh treasures - just be careful to watch your health on the big jumps or negate fall damage. (I made liberal use of gust - recommend slow fall, heroic leap, etc.) You can also pick up some in untethered space as they spawn semi-regularly in of these locations stolen from the comments in the Untethered Xy'bucha page:

Essentials:
* Use MelodieX comment for Coordinates

Path to Victory:
* Go into Phase-Diving and run through glowing orbs scattered around K'aresh

Notes On Completion:
* There is a chance each orb contains a weapon
* There is a 100% chance that if you do get a weapon, it will NOT be one you already have.

Personal Experience:
* Putting the coordinates in Paste (Add-On) was essential
* Run the top three islands in K'aresh and ignore Tazavesh
* Tazavesh seems like a good idea, but enemies and hallways that dismount you slow progress
* If you do a sweep of the top three islands, starting from the top, this is super easy.
* This took me just a hair over 3 sweeps to do (Finished right when I started 4th sweep)
* I had 0% progress on this achievement when I started

Total Time Invested:
* 2 Hours 30 Minutes

Personal Opinion:
* I would highly recommend doing this achievement, even if you're not an achievement hunter
* There are very few times in WoW that you'll get this much cool transmog and a mount by just running in circles

Highly recommend doing this in tank spec, never have to dismount, get dazed or kill mobs, just point and autorun.

May be confirmation bias, but when looting these while in stealth, the drop rate seemed well below the mentioned 20%.
(had collected ~half the appearances with ~100 detritus in my bags)

After trying some loops without stealth, the drop rate seemed to spike up to ~20% and I finished out the remaining transmogs only looting another 20 detritus or so.

Could very well just be chance, but if you're hunting these while in stealth and the drop rate seems low, try it out without the stealth.

this MAY have just been buffed.

before reset, i would get a weapon every 5-7 orbs. very often going to 7.

after reset today, i have touched 12 orbs and gotten 8 weapons. this is an INSANE change to how it was just yesterday.

maybe its just wild rng / luck.
maybe its not intended.
either way i am finishing this achievement up NOW

nice achievment.. so many cool mogs and a mount on top :)
took me 90 Orbs to get everything so ~30% droprate on a weapon .. thats 2x clearing K'aresh (or 2,5-3x if many orbs are missing)

currently you should be nearly solo in the zone or at least the only one that are collecting those, so nearly all orbs should be up for you. just ride throu them, barely needed to dismount and kill a mob.
use handynotes -> menu top right and show the achievment. then have little pink dots on the map -> with tomtom rightclick "add gorup to tomtom" and then you have every position marked. and just run them down :)

I think best way of farming this, is from time to time, go to phase diving and just teleport around. There are 1-2 orbs close to each teleporter. No need to slowly run around map.
