This achievement requires a level 4 Ember Court, as you cannot host all of the guests until then.

No minimum mood is required for this achievement. Host the guest at the party and you get credit. Credit for the achievement is given when time at the party runs out.

Each guest has a specific one of the four slots that they will show up in. Below is a list taken from the Wowpedia Ember Court page:

The new achievement Shadowlands Dilettante coming with 9.2.5 will require this achievement, which itself is part of the new meta-achievement Back from the Beyond. This list will help with how many weeks are needed to complete this achievement, as even having only 4 guests remaining might require multiple weeks if they show up in the same slot.

As noted in other comments, the slots unlock with the relevant level of the Ember Court (i.e. level 1 unlocks slot 1, level 2 unlocks slot 2, etc.) so this achievement requires level 4 to be able to invite the guests listed under slot 4. Level 5 of the Ember Court is not needed for this achievement, as level 5 is only a happiness boost to guests and this achievement simply requires running the Ember Court with each guest at least once.

I have the feature unlocked to rank 4, but can only invite 3 people. It seems the people from the 2nd slot are missing. Someone an idea what I have to do to unlock? Is it rep based?

What other comments fail to note is that this achievement requires honored with the Ember Court in order to purchase the RSVP for Choofa. Therefore, if you do the bare minimum and fail to get the maximum 1600 rep a week it may take more then 4 or 5 weeks implied elsewhere. Subsequently, it may be prudent to put moderate effort in to make sure grinding the reputation does not that too many weeks.

Anyone know if you can complete this achievement, Be Our Guest, across multiple toons? Thereby reducing the impact of the weekly lockout? Say 1 toon invites half the list, another toon does the other half?

So to clear up a couple things each slot has a set rotation of four NPCS you can invite to each ember court, so if your going for dilettante, then just cycle to the ones you need as their in a set order and go from there. Now slot one and two initially can only offer three NPCS, until you are friendly with the ember court which unlocks grandmaster vole for slot two , and then honored unlocks choofa for slot one. You have to buy the RSVP items from Lady Ilincia next to where the RSVP dude is.

The max rep you can gain isn't 1600, but 3200, and is based entirely on your guests, like for instance the court I just did all four of my guests were elated, which I think is essentially max happiness. Which resulted in all four chests given a 800 rep token for the ember court, for a total of 3200 rep. So if your at the point to where you only need choofa and rep, then make sure to cycle your guests to min max it.

Ambassador's reserve is another thing I wish was mentioned, cause holy moly is it a necessity almost for this given how much it can extent the time the court has for when your neutral especially. They cost 10 rubies each and stack, and each one adds a minute to the timer, and is sold by Lady Ilinca.

For the food fight as it was confusing as heck for me, you complete it by getting NPC's behind each table, as its not enough to throw food at NPC's to trigger it as completed.

Finally as for ruby farming it seems like the best method IMO is if you have the gear, just run around and kill rare's, they give like 10-20 per kill, and of course reset daily so they are a good source for when your between courts and need to restock on items and cycle guests.

If you've already ventured out to visit each potential guests, done their quests, and had them emote that they'd see you at the party but your guest list is still showing them as "Undiscovered" or "No RSVP" check your bags. When you earn an RSVP from the potential attendee, they give you a consumable item (looks like a letter) that you must click/use to actually have them show up on the guest list.

For some reason almost no guide mentions this explicitly even though it is very unintuitive, and if you don't keep your bags well organised you might not notice them. I forgot about it after having not touched the Court in months, and was frustrated and confused when I went back later to finish this achievement as to why it wasn't working, so figured I'd leave a comment for others in the same position.

I decided to make this one on my alt who has all 7 chapters of Venthyr campaign, brought up Ember Court to level 4 and invited all guests but one. Mikanikos does not show up for some reason and I can't figure out why it is missing. Does anyone have similar problem?

Update: today I completed two quests Ember Court Ambassador and Anima Tastings, one of them apparently triggered Mikanikos appearance. I did not do any other activities on this alt.

Since 10.1.5, my progress on this achievements has been reset, it's all greyed out for me.
Many other achievements are like this for me which I previously had progress on. Very annoying.

Might be a display bug but when I track the achievement it says I need to do everything again.

Edit: Opened a ticket about it and a GM said many achievement progress had indeed been reset but should now be fixed.

Im suprised no one mentioned this yet, but court can now be done daily instead of weekly as of 10.2, so if you know what you are doing this achievment is now duoble in less than a week, provided you have ember court on level 4, that is a must for the achievment. I also suggest setting aside an hour of your time to research how court works, as that can save you day or two in itself.

Choofa was my last guest needed for the achievement because of the rep requirement.

By the time I had all other guests completed, I had enough rep to unlock Choofa.

I even failed a few ember courts, so don't worry if you think it will take a long time

For this achivement I have one left "Choofa" I bought the invite from the vendor. clicked it and did the quests to get Choofa to attend
and got the letter clicked it and it said "Choofa will attend to your next Ember court"
Well he didnt.
And I cant rebuy the invitation, so good question how to get Choofa again?
