If coming into BRH from the Gilnean village, when you go into Black Rock Hold just keep going, bear left at the tower, go down the stairs and almost out where you see yellow bar friendlies. Come back in on the right hand gate, look for an arch on the right, go up stairs and circle on the upper catwalk, past the big quest mob, you'll recognize the area as a bonus XP area. The dranai angel will talk to you when you are to the mob's right and behind.

After a lengthy monologue and wait the gate will be lowered. While fighting the demons gather as many demons together as you can before popping the first ability you obtain. Until then you have to right click things to fight them. As you defeat Xalian Felblaze and open up three energizing moon portals, more abilities proc for you. Its fairly straightforward until you get to the Nihilim portal. There's nothing to click no portal energizers to destroy. Go down the short flight of stairs directly at the portal where the demons are coming out, pop everything you have to destroy it and hope you have enough left to destroy Baladuur; get on the energizing moon portal to get your health up and push 6 when you are out of mana.

Fight the Colossal Siegebreaker until the fourth ability procs and that will end the scenario.

For the stage 6 portal, use the #3 spell on your bar. For the stage 7 colossal, use the #4 spell on your bar.

Super buggy still as of 9/18/16. I had to keep reloading UI for my abilities to come up. Spent so much time and frustration trying to figure this out.

Mine bugged.
Stage 6 the Siegebreaker didn't spawn.

Had to drop quest and pick it up at class hall and repeat the whole scenario again.

FOR STAGES 5-7:

If you reach the point where you have to destroy the portal and you only have 1 attack on your toolbar, you need to reset. The only way I found that I could completely reset was by dying, respawning at the starting area, and then it gives another attack. I did this twice before it began to reward them normally.

As soon as you start, suck the life from your Moon Guards to earn more attacks and kill demons in one section before moving onto the next. The mechanics are buggy so do the best you can. You should have 4 attacks and 1 life-sucking (Moon Guards) attack total by the end.

1. an attack that makes you jump forward and AoE kill mobs
2. an attack that makes you jump backwards and kill mobs
3. an attack specifically for the Nihilam Portal, can also be used to kill Balaadur inside.
4. an attack specifically for killing the Colossal Siegebreaker infernal.

If you don't have 3 by the time you reach the demon portal, keep sucking MG lives til you get it. I hope this helps!

OMG! Worst quest ever to figure out what and how you're supposed to do what you need to do. But, I figured it out. The #1 thing you MUST make sure you have are the mages that join you upon entrance to the scenario. I had to exit and enter (leave vehicle button) a few times but it finally worked. The first ability you have is number 6, you need the mages around you to make this work. The rest is right clicking until you get more abilities and using the newest ones when you get them. Hope this helps!

Tried doing this today and it's still bugged as hell. Can't even get past Step 2 (where you have to repair the portal).

When Xalian Felblaze dies, the door open, and Stage 4 begins. Be sure to activate the portal on the left immediately after going through the door. You will never kill them all, so run down to the next portal. Go through the Fel enemies on the reamparts, to the stairs down on your right, and then clear across the courtyard in a straight line to the next portal. Now kill the Fel until you have a brief pause in attacks long enough to activate the portal. Next go back to the middle of the courtyard, turn left, and go to the far left corner to the last portal. Now kill the boss, using attack number 3. Finally go through the closed doors, they will open to let you pass, jump down, and if it is working you will be able to kill the last boss with attack number 4.

At each portal you get more Moon Mages to drain with number 6, which procs once the portal is activated. Each time you use #6 you get a new power. Use the new power at the next portal, or boss. The last power does not become available until you have almost been killed by the final boss. Once you have it, you can use it to one-shot him.

If you're like me, got to the final stage, When Good Men Do Nothing, and wondered how to get through the locked gate, just walk up to it and it will open.

You won't get any spells on your action bar until the 1st boss looses some health. Right click to auto attack, let the mages start their attack, then sacrifice. Each time you advance, you'll get a new spell. Illidan will say something about sacrificing the mages and thats a good time to use that spell. Each additional spell you get will allow you to advance on the next objective. Don't use them until you are actually at Nihilam Portal and the Colossal Siegebreaker infernal.

I am at stage 6 and cannot get the gate to open. I walked up to it, as previously stated, and it won't open. :(

As of 3/13/2018, quest is still bugged. No abilities in the bar. I have reloaded numerous times. I have noticed the loading screen bar fills, then jumps back leaving an empty space on the bar, and character enters into the scenario. Could this be a clue to No abilities?

I think this got bugged even worse with the stat squish in 8.0. Ability 1 still takes 20k mana but ability 6 only restores 26 mana per 0.1 sec. Lets just say it don't add up.

The stat squish broke this quest. the mana recharge is like 26 mana of the 20,000+ that you have. Get it in one shot or make it to each portal at least.

Broken as hell after patch 8.0. Doable up to the final stage but can't be completed.

Phase 1-4
Still working as intended (almost).

Phase 5
Completely broken but you can still do it by running a lot and not wasting mana unless required:

Enter the scenario and activate the 1st portal, easy stuff.
Exit and re-enter the scenario to activate the 2nd portal: you need to RUN like hell, jump down the wall when you reach the stairs and as soon as you reach the portal use ability 1 (Stormrage) to clear the mobs who followed you. Be FAST and click the portal to activate it, then you will die.
Exit and re-enter the scenario to activate the 3rd portal: run like hell, jump at the stairs and keep the right avoiding the big mob at all costs because he will kill you. Use ability 1 a couple of time to clear the mobs then activate the portal and die
Exit and re-enter for the last time. Run like hell to the green objective and destroy it with skill 3. Use the remaining mana with skill 3 against the final boss and complete phase 5.

Phase 6
Kite the boss and use ability 6 a couple of times until you get ability 4. Use it to kill the boss.

Remember for the Siphon to work U need to have 20% mana or less left.

So if you were running around like me wondering why U couldn't Siphon your Moonguard to get the final spell, this is why.
