Rotation & Abilities
Macros & Addons
One of the more difficult but currently more rewarding Subtlety Rogue Builds.
Somewhat simpler Subtlety Rogue Build.
Important thing to remember is that currently there is a lot of room for customization in sub builds. Depending on gear and legendaries you can alternate talents in the first row even in those established builds.
(Sometimes gloomblade might pull ahead of other 2) So for best individual results it's better to sim yourself.
Tier 1 Talents
: This talent has a great synergy with Shuriken Storm hitting multiple targets.
Tier 2 Talents
: Increases the duration of
. This allows you fit in 4 Shadowstrikes and a finisher during Shadow Dance, assuming you properly pool energy going into the Shadow Dance. Not as valuable when going Dark Shadows.
Tier 3 Talents
The increased energy cap makes it harder to accidentally energy cap, especially when paired with
Master of Shadows
in the level 100 talent row.
: The increased finisher damage and up to 6 combo point finishers makes this talent take a lead at level 110 due to various artifact traits such as
. Your rotation does not change too much when taking this talent.
Tier 4 Talents
is useful as both a buffer you can use while learning a fight's mechanics and as a tool you can use to purposely handle certain mechanics without dying.
: Good for mitigating boss abilities that deal direct damage or apply a power damage over time debuff that the AoE reduction on
would not affect.
Tier 5 Talents
Prey on the Weak
: Use this when there's a specific mob that's stunnable and that your raid has to kill it.
Tier 6 Talents
: Helps any time you have on-demand burst requirements.
: Alacrity has some uses on extended fights and/or when undergeared, but is far weaker on shorter fights or fights where long intermissions prevent maintaining the stacking buff.
: reworked in 7.2.5 and bring subtlety gameplay closer to pre 7.2.5 version with increased SD charges, and improved regeneration.
Tier 7 Talents
Master of Shadows
: Use this talent gain more energy to use during
. Be careful to not use Shadow Dance when you're sitting at too much energy.
