Here is the Formula

(Level*4)+2 = Attack power gained.
(Level*2)+3 = Spell damage/healing gained.

Wonderful racial... And the cooldown is only two minutes, so you can use it constantly.

Consdiering this is the shaman version you can also stack it with Bloodlust so you also get 30% haste for your party (you included). Bloodlust has a 10 minute cooldown so you can use that every 4-5 times (if you use Blood Fury afew seconds after it cools down).

It should be noted that Enhancement Shamans with the Mental Quickness talent will gain additional spell damage/healing when using this ability (at level 70, approximately 227 spell damage instead of 143).

Interesting tip for Shamans: If you use this it will remove Wound Poison, so if they get 4-5 stacks up on you, it's a good way to get it off.

It can be used to get rid of the Wound Poison so you can go straight to dispelling the Crippling Poison so you can kite the rogue and not be slowed. :)

And when the Blood Fury debuff ends, he'll need to build up his Wound Poison stacks again.

In WOTLK, the spell power change means this racial is more effective for restoration shamans. A nice buff!

Edit: Seems its been nerfed to no longer affect healing.
Edit: Now it IS spell power as of 4.3, benefiting all shamans.

~~There are a few things about Blood Fury that not very many people seem to know. I will list them for my fellow Orcs.~~

Using Blood Fury causes you to receive 50% less health from all sources. Whether it be standard healing, life stealing, bandaging or eating.
Blood Fury does not stack with other similar effects. With that knowledge, you may as well use Blood Fury if you're fighting something as a Warrior with Mortal Strike. Since you'll have Mortal Strike on you the whole time anyways, you can generally use Blood Fury without any negative consequence.
Using Blood Fury will override Wound Poison. If you have five stacks of Wounding Poison on you and then activate Blood Fury, the five stacks will be removed and replaced with Blood Fury, allowing your partner to remove Crippling Poison far easier.

As of patch 3.0.2 it now causes a global cooldown, meaning it can no longer be placed into macros with other spell without messing it up.

Edit: Fixed in 3.0.3

doesn't add anything to healing, just spell damage. us resto's are left out!

If this really was intended to be the Shaman version of the Orc racial, then Blizzard would/should change it to add spell power in addition to attack power for Restoration Shamans.

It should be noted that this is not attached to the global cooldown. Nor is Elemental Mastery,
So elemental shaman can make a macro like this

/cast elemental mastery
/cast blood fury

To get both buffs at the same time, and they have the same buff duration too.

Unless Im completely wrong, which if I am, someone correct me......

For enhancement shamans, Mental Quickness coupled with Unleashed Rage will produce 1287 (1170 x 1.1) attack power and 1228.5 spell power ( + 585 ) at level 85.

I am currently not an orc, rather a goblin. I plan on race changing back to orc soon, as the luster of being a goblin has since worn off and orcs just have better racials for my spec. Once I can get confirmation of either way, I will update this post.

Does this share a cooldown with other dps trinkets/effects?

For example: I noticed I cannot cast Lifeblood and use a +sp/crit/haste trinket at the same time, since it goes on a 20-30s CD (I forget which). I would assume this applies for this racial also, can anyone confirm this?

It would just be way over the top to pop mana gem, have incanter's absorbtion, possibly a proc active, this racial, a sp trinket, 4 stacks of arcane blast and then pop arcane power. In crappy gear I'm already doing 85k crits, and looking forward to teaming up with a warlock that understands the power of the arcane ;-)

Just noticed this. Tooltip begins by saying it increases attack power by 1169 and spell power by 584. Set the tooltip to level one, and then back to level 85. It now states that it increases attack power by 1170, and spell power by 585. nothing big, but interesting nonetheless.

I've noticed that it says spell damage, but nothing about healing. There's no way they would make a racial such as this that doesn't effect healing right?

compare Orc, Troll and Human Racial for PvP:

Blood Fury: 2,257 Spell Power or 4,514 Attack Power for 15 sec every 2 Min (=282.1 Spell Power or 564.3 Attack Power).
Berserking: 20% Haste (8,500 Haste @ L90) for 10 sec every 3 Min (=472.2 Haste).
having Every Man for Himself, means Human will NOT wearing Medallion, alternatives give:

Battlemaster: 42,617 maximum Health for 15 sec every 2 Min.
Badge: trade 1,152 Mastery, Critical Strike or Spirit for 1,152 PvP Power, and 4,236 Spell Power, Agility or Strength for 20 sec every 2 Min (=706 Spell Power, Agility or Strength).
Insignia: trade 1,152 Mastery, Critical Strike or Spirit for 1,152 PvP Power, and 2,989 Spell Power, Agility or Strength for 20 sec trigger about every 1 Min (=996.3 Spell Power, Agility or Strength).

Lorewise, this could either be a remnant of the old corruption that turned orcs skin green, or *as shown in the recent Lords of War series -Durotan* a natural wild rage that this species can and always has had the ability to go into.

The only orc I just cant see going into this rage *red eyes glowing* is Thrall as his control is very strong.
