I have word that @Wowhead is working on a model viewer for the Claws of Shirvallah models, but in the mean time, I can share this info: Shirvallah form uses a new-to-Warlords model, also used for the Saberon race, but it uses some different animations. Shirvallah form moves on all fours, and a variety of clawing attacks. For now, skin choices are limited, but that's something we may expand on in the future. Tauren look like Lions, Trolls look like Tigers (thus the name), Worgen look like Snow Leopards, Night Elves like Panthers.

Hamuul is right to be concerned. Last time Druids tried using a half-man/half-animal form, it didn't go very well.

Increased Versatility plus "retaining the ability to cast non-damaging Druid spells" is a great combination. A bit concerned that it'll get nerfed, but for now it seems very promising.

Considering the name, this likely originates from Troll Druids' tampering with forms in order to approximate the image of one of the gods in their pantheon.

According to Celestalon on Twitter, this form uses a variation of the Warlords Saberon model, differing dependent upon race:

Celestalon also said on twitter that your gear will not show in this form, despite the fact that the Saberon Saberon mobs can wear armor. This, along with the different animations differentiates the NPCs from the players, I suppose. He says they're "too feral for armour". At this point, the models have been given loincloths and jewelry. It seems that all but the snow leopard skin have also been given a sort of mane, making them even more masculine.

A few things to note about this model:

Renders you immune to polymorphs.
Increases movement speed by 30%.
Increases Versatility by 5%.
The form, Claws of Shirvallah, Doesn't show gear.
The shapeshift is not currently affected by Glyph of the Chameleon
You can /sit in the form.
You can use chairs, benches, et cetera in this form.
You can /sleep, though the animation is currently bugged/clipping horribly and you will shove your face into your arm.
You can /dance, but there's no animation for it currently. At the moment, /dance merely makes you stand up
There's currently only a male version, and that's unlikely to change any time soon, sadly. It is "being considered for the future".

I'm so excited about this and so bummed out at the same time. Such conflicting emotions! I'd been looking forward to possibility of Saberon as a playable race some time after Warlords, but this would seem to indicate that's not going to happen.

Editing to add, I wrote an addon that plays Thekal's "Shirvallah! Fill me with your RAGE!" when you shapeshift into this new cat form. You can find it on WoWInterface.

For PVE the versatility is the biggest deal.... 5% increased Damage and Healing at all times, 2.5% reduced damage at all times...

For PVP, being able to cast Cyclone, Entangling Roots, Soothe, and Remove Corruption in form and Healing Touch despite predatory swiftness will be the most compelling aspect...

I just wonder how this form will be useful. You can't use damaging abilities in the form. Maybe it's a form for healers when they're not shapeshifted into the tree form?

When I first saw this I was excited thinking this was the druid version of the warlock green fire quest line.... Sadly just a talent, perhaps not too late in development to make it a quest line instead?

I think class specific quests would be a great way to add more cosmetic things to the game.

As much as I like this, I'm definitely gonna miss the Savagery talent. Savage Roar is just a pain, plain and simple, and I was excited to never have to use it again.

I have to say, it's what I ALWAYS wanted when I played my Druid. I'm very tempted to make my druid my main for WoD now!

Edit: The dream of Cenarius talent (for cat) + Claws of Shirvallah + the change to the combo point system (the points staying with the character, not the enemy) is my dream becoming true.

When I fist rolled a druid, that's what I felt I would experience - a brutal melee shapeshifter that can, if needed be, heal himself and his allies. Finally Blizzard is giving us ways to be the hybrids we rolled for, not 4 classes in one that require respecs and new gear for each role!

This talent is going to be AMAZING for soloing old raids, or just soloing things in general. The ability to use all your CC and heals without shifting? Yes please!

I also see this as potentially useful for Mythic progression, weaving in rejuvs etc when you're waiting on energy to regen.

Idea: Balance and Guardian should get a talent similar to this:
• Balance gets the model they get from the glyph of stars
• Guardian makes bear form something similar to this model, just more "bear-y".
• remove glyph of stars and change it to a glyph that would allow your armor to show up in these forms.

I think this is stupid, it is going to destroy my view of druids and make normal cat form obsolete. To be honest it is going to look stupid because Worgens already have this body shape and when the transform into it they are basically only shape shifting their heads from a wolf head to a cat head and mysteriously changing their fur color to that of a snow leopard, and as if Worgen druids weren't already weird enough probably due to the fact that they are probably more dangerous in their normal werewolf form. Taurens are also going to be weird because they are suddenly going to transform into smaller more muscular humanoids, in fact the only races this talent actually works out for are night elves and trolls. But essentially I think this is the stupidest change to druids I have ever seen, why not just make it a burst or change the appearance of the cat form to a more powerful looking cat, when I shape shift I want to be an animal not another furry, this talent also looks like it is going to blow the other talents out of the water so every one is going to be a stupid furry.

Hoping for a female model for this, or a glyph that allows me to stay in the same ole normal cat form. I hate having to transform into a giant buff bulging armed man on my demonology lock meta and shaman ascendance, this would be no different. Perhaps worse since it would be a permanent thing. Blizzard needs to remember than not all their players are men and don't want to look like one.

I really like the idea of casting utility and heals without having to morph out of cat, but the appearance in itself makes me want to go with a different talent, probably the moonfire one to amuse myself in pvp. I'm a little upset that they replaced the talent that would make savage roar passive with this, refreshing savage roar is my least favorite part of playing feral.

New updated models, looking awesome, but hope they add some race specific adornments, drawings on the "rags" they wear (maybe the tabard's drawings) and hope they get different collars on the neck . Also, would be cool if the color of the "rags" they wearchange depending on the hair color.

In the shown crouching position the neck looks really awkward with that straight upwards edge, leading in an unfiting hunchback. i hope they can fix it, since the model looks pretty cool in upright position, i think.

Now I am confuised by this all non damaging spells....can you still use your attacks liek claw and all that sorta good jazz as cat form attacks.....or does it mean you cant use spells liek wrath abilies like a boomkin would use but...im so lost basically can you still do your cat form attacks in this form..

I love the idea of the talent, and all of the perks are great, but considering that the other talents are absolute rubbish, I'm a bit worried that I'll be forced to choose this even though I'm perfectly happy with my current Cat Form model. I'd prefer not to have to change it, and it'd be nice if there was a cosmetic glyph to make us retain our current Cat Form whilst using this talent.

I was really excited about this talent at first but I looked at it again today and realized that it seems kind of useless to me.

I mean Predatory Swiftness already gives us Healing Touch in cat form, and I don't think cats are going to cast non-instant HT in combat just because they can. And if a cat is having to spam HT's, then being out of form isn't likely the biggest problem.

Our "92+" abilities are going to give us Rejuv in cat form and instant Rebirth.

So what are we really getting from this talent... Roots in cat form without waiting for Predatory Swiftness procs? weak.

Cyclone without having to shift back to cat... weak.

Don't get me wrong, I may still get it just for looking cool, but it seems like something that would be an optional glyph choice and not a major level 100 talent.

Not sure this belongs here but can't find anything online. How will this new form incorporate with burning essence buff? I know incarnation pops you back into the normal cat form but what about burning essences. Burning Warecat anyone :D ?

Currently Alysrazor bugs if you're in this form during the fight and try to pick up feathers - lets you take off then resets once you're 20 feet in the air. Went back to normal kitty and fight went like normal.

the names change with each spec for the tier 7 talents.

Maybe it's just me, but I absolutely hate the Saberon model. I love the cat form model...But this talent is something I'd love to have for what it does as a mechanic. Can we get a glyph not to go into this model or something...It's annoying to say the least.
