The Druids main buff. This buff is beneficial for any class but the downside is that it doesn't give a major boost to any stat and doesn't scale in any way.

Mark of the Wilds biggest benefit is in my opinion the bonus to resistances. The armor- and attributebonuses are pretty low compared to other buffs.

Mark of the wild is the buff from druids. Mark of the wild can be cast on friendly targets.

this buff is appropriate in that it represents druids as they are: jack of all trades class- this buff is not as powerful in +int as AI, or +stam as Fort, or SR prayers etc. but it is still extrememly powerful.

I find the resistances to be the best component of this buff at high levels, it's a small but signifigant amount. While it may not stack with auras and similar buffs, it will stack with any resistances one may have on your gear. You only need to resist one big nuke to possibly turn the tide of an encounter. With only this buff (untalented, even) and a +5 resist all enchantment on my cloak, I once resisted 5 arcane orbs in a row on Void reaver. Granted, I shouldn't have been hit by any, I should have dodged, but still, I thought it was pretty cool all the same.

Looking at the jump from rank 8 to rank 9 looks like MoTW will again be a great buff.

+410 armor
+23 all stats
+29 all resists

Rank 7 to 8 was pretty laughable in the increase especially since leveling from 60 to 70 was a huge jump in players overall stats (Who would have thought mages with 10k hp).

+ 55 armor
+ 2 all stats
+ 5 all resists

One of the best buffs in the game. Few buffs increase more than one stat (although they do provide a larger boost), and no other buff will give an increase to stats, armor, AND resistances all at once.

In the Resto Tree Improved MotW, does the +2% total Attributes count toward the MotW attributes? (on the Druid ofc)
Eg is it (saying i have 100 stat) 100 + 2% = 102 + motw (imp) =154
100 + MotW effect + 2%?

If ya get what i mean?

Something is really wonky about this spell.

In my spellbook, it says to increase armor by 91 and to increase attributes by 2

However, the actual buff has armor set to 65 and attributes by 2

These calculations are correct in theory. In reality, the numbers Blizzard are providing for Mark of the Wild are incorrect. Ingame this buff with improved MOTW is actually providing:
1162 Armor
51 Stats
75 Resistance

This is before Kings or talent multipliers.

Revamped Mark of the wild now increases Strength, Agility, Stamina, and Intellect by 5%. And some resistances.

And if the target is in your party or raid, they will ALL get MotW. No need to stack Wild Spineleaf for Gift of the Wild anymore!

Too bad they got rid of the armor. I hope they add 5% armor to it as well because otherwise it doesn't really help too much VS melee.

Looking at the spell text as of patch day 4.0.1 at 08:00 am CET this seems to be wrong.
(cond($lte(level, 70), level / 2, cond($lte(level, 80), level / 2 + (level) / 2 * 5, level / 2 + (level) / 2 * 5 + (level) / 2 * 7)) - 0.5) This formula results in the following resistances per level:

For the slow people like myself; Gift of the Wild is now gone. Mark of the Wild is now used for both self and raid buffing. The icon remains the same as MotW pre-4.0.1.

This buff does not stack with a paladin's Resistance Aura. I don't know if this is a bug or intended.

Resistances with mark of the wild only:
Arcane: 65
Fire:       65
Nature:   65
Frost:     65
Shadow: 65

Resistances with resistance aura only:
Arcane:      0
Fire:       130
Nature:       0
Frost:     130
Shadow: 130

Resistances with both resistance aura and mark of the wild:
Arcane:    65
Fire:       130
Nature:     65
Frost:     130
Shadow: 130

And if it weren't obvious, since mark of the wild and blessing of kings are the exact same buff now, blessing of kings also does not stack with resistance aura.

This is a great buff but it no longer will stack with the pally buff Kings. If you have an inscriber then you can make a scroll of Anicent Kings which will stack with it though!

For anyone that wondered, the buff you get shares the same spell ID. Not always the same (for example Legacy of the Emperor gives the buff ). Only of interest to AddOn and macro authors.
