Read the Pariah's Instructions. Afterwards, obtain the Amulet of Union from Maraudon and return it to the Centaur Pariah in southern Desolace.

Description

Though exiled as a heretic, my beliefs still ring true--that alone drives me onward. But for my destiny to be complete, I need the aid of an outsider... one not of any centaur tribe.

The task requires someone to enter the holy halls of Maraudon--a tomb my people protect, and only the most devout are ever allowed to enter.

If you agree to aid me, then you need only nod. I will pass you a parchment with my instructions on it. Read it over and consider my words.

First, you have to kill an elite centaur named "The Nameless Prophet". He wanders near the stone door area. He will drop the Amulet of Spirits (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=17757). Then you have to find the five Kahns:

Kolk, The First Kahn, is located just outside the little room where you create the portal to Inner Maraudon (Middle part).
Gelk, The Second Kahn, is located outside the portal of the purple path, hanging with the rock elementals.
Magra, The Third Kahn, is located outside the portal of the orange path, in the stairs area.
Maraudos, The Fourth Kahn, is located inside the purple path, wandering not too far away from the instance.
Veng, The Fifth Kahn, is located inside the orange path, wandering by the end of the path.

To be able to attack them, just select the Kahn and use your Amulet of Spirits.
Once you have all the gems, just click on a random one to create the Amulet of Union, which you will turn in to Centaur Pariah.

I recommend using the orange entrance to the instance (turn north at the bottom of the entrance and you should be following orange crystals). There is an orange pool along the way you fill the vial for http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=7029 Look for the red plants and use your vial when you are near them.

You can track the Khans using Track Undead if you are a hunter, or Sense Undead if you are a Paladin. That helps find them, since there aren't any other Undead nearby.

Last night we got a little problem. We entered with a group where all had the quest. I have been there before and already had the amulett and freed the spirits. We got our gems, but when we killed the profet on our way out (on way in an other group must have killed him right before us, we did not see him), he did not drop the amulett for the others...
Maybe because i already had it??

Very easy for a druid and rogue stealth and pull em alone
if you are below 50lvl have talents in improve stealth to do it me as 52 druid without the talents never aggroed

It seems this trinket can become a really nice twink trinket: Requires level 39 on the quest. So if you have a 39 twink i suggest you get this trinket.

what is the drop rate for the quest item that starts the quest? i've killed 'the nameless prophet' over and over and over again, and it hasn't dropped.

the 3rd and 5th you will need a group, the 1st,2nd and 4th you wont, i was able to solo the 1st 2nd and 4th, 49 shaman, the fouth one is in the purple side i watched aggro, went under the little bridge and killed him there, 49 shaman enhancement, hope you get it just as easy as i did

I did the 3rd/5th with a group. After we finished Mara, I went back in and solo'd 1st/2nd/4th as a 45 Paladin, Retribution spec.

Not hard at all.

I just soloede this Q as a lvl 52 ench shammy.
Was accatly kinda easy - even those inside, they wandre around the spot given to them and you can catch them after a coupel of grps cleared.
No problem really.

soloed 1,2,3 and 4 as a lvl 45 shadow priest, if u know what you're doing it's not that hard (btw 4 is now a 44 elite only). Just take it slow clear all the trash 1 by 1 and it shouldn't be too much of a hustle, also for the 4th you will need to die to exit the instance, at least i didn't make it out alive, when entering wait for the imp patrol to pass then jump down and go through the underpasage there, kill 1 tree there and 1 tree patrol, that's about it and wait for the Khan in that passage. hf :>

Very Good trinket for a Druid because of the stats from the proc. I just did this quest solo on my Druid (48), very easy to solo even with bad gear. Just stealth to each Kahn and Bear Form them down.

This trinket is insane for Protection paladins that level up using AOE grinding. When you fight 10 or more mobs, this will proc constantly, giving you an awesome +25 to all stats. Quite possibly the best trinket to have pre-Outlands.

Unfortunately, Maraudon is a $%^&ehole. It takes forever to go through, and most people that go there just pop through for the Princess anyway. Killing her rewards another nice item for a Protection Paladin, though (Thrash Blade, both Alliance and Horde)

solo'd as a 48 Pally. The only one I had trouble with was Mr. Fifth. The trick was to keep the amulet on my hotbar so I could grab him as soon as he was in range. Don't try to attack anything else, there's plenty of room in the cavern to avoid their attention.

Try to do this during your normal run of Mara. Otherwise bring help. The three outside of the instance aren't too bad. You should be able to solo them depending on your level and getting to them isn't so bad now. However you will need help with the two on the inside of the instance Maraudos and Veng. Not because they're particularly hard (even though Mara hit me, a lvl 52 shaman, for 1K with his sinister strike so watch out) but because you need to get through several elite mobs to get to them. Quest is well worth it though IMO.

Soloed as a lvl 49 hunter. Just make sure that you keep your distance from mobs that you don't need to aggro. The khan's do have paths they follow so just wait for them to come to you.

Ok, here they are:

Nameless Prophet: Once you enter Maraudon through the main gate, keep heading down towards the area where the dungeon splits into 3 main parts. He will come before that area. He will drop the Amulet of Spirits; you use this to materialize the Khans in order to kill them. You can only get the Amulet of Spirits if you have the quest. If you don't, he won't drop the Amulet of Spirits.

1st Khan: Once the instance splits into 3 roads (left takes you to purple, right takes you to orange and middle has 2 centaur statues), take the MIDDLE road. Keep going down until you get near the portal room. The first khan will be there.

2nd Khan: He is outside the Purple instance on the bottom level. He will be near a fountain looking thing.

3rd Khan: He is outside the Orange instance on patrol. Go past the pool where you filled the Cerulean vial and keep heading in that direction.

4th Khan: Go inside the Purple instance. Head to the demon who gives you the Celebrian Diamond (Lord Vyletongue or something)

5th Khan: I am positive about the others, but not this one since I got the 5th gem a long time ago. Pretty sure he is in the Orange instance.

To recap: 3 of the khans are outside the instances and the other 2 are inside, 1 in purple, 1 in orange.

If you plan on soloing this and are a stealthing class, bring along some Elixir of Detect Undead.

There aren't any other Undead mobs in Mara, so you can use this to single them out. Good luck!

The Nameless Prophet is inside the entrance. So he's PAST the stone doors. He's not outside near the summoning stone. NOT in the instance.

As no1 above said it and i was wandering, the last 2 khans are inside the instance, one in the orange and one at the purple part.

Quest is bugged for me. I killed Kolk, the first Khan, TWICE and all he dropped was coin. This was on my alt, an 80 DK (yeah, I know - slumming :))

I had already killed Gelk, the second Khan, and got the gem he dropped.

I soloed four of the five khans as a 45 feral druid in all green-level gear other than the heirloom two-hand mace. Maraudos proved impossible, though; his Sinister Strike would suddenly zap me for more than 700 points. I thus switched to balance (yay for dual spec) and got him down the usual root-Wrath-Wrath-repeat way.

It was kind of.. NERDRAGE to find the NPCs.
For anyone else who is confused;
First of all make a macro;
/Tar Spirit
The first one, the second one and the third one are outside the instance. Run around the Orange and the Purple side and you'll find them.
The 4th one is inside the Purple side.
The 5th one is inside the Orange side.
Use the macro and run around. They can be at the first room, the second or the last one.

And yes, I took me hours to find the 5th one. For %^&* sake Blizzard!

This quest DOES count toward Loremaster of Kalimdor.

Also, be warned that TWO of the Khan's are located INSIDE the instances, while only three are outside the instances. The other comments here don't always specify that.

Beware when turning this in. The new in-game quest tracker says to return it to the Pariah at the Twin Colossals in Feralas. I went to where I picked up the quest, didn't find him there, then headed to Feralas. Only after reading in his Wowhead entry that he walks back and forth near where I picked up the quest, i found him. Save yourself the trip to Feralas ;)

In regards to this the centaur is inside the stone doors not outside. Made this error.

Confirmed that the questgiver no longer appears where he used to. I had this quest on several alts, and even had it ready to turn in on one. It's a real shame - the trinket was one of the best in the game.
