A new account-daily pet battle in the outer area of Gnomeregan (just go down the lift and around to the left) with a chance to drop Model D1-BB-L3R

His mechanical pets do nasty damage and have some annoying swap and burn mechanics. After several attempts to mitigate and avoid the mechanics, I finally just burnt them down with 3 fast (244+) elementals. They need to be fast to get a hit in on Corporal Hammer before he swaps your pet out.

I used Dark Phoenix Hatchling, Fel Flame and Phoenix Hatchling, all with Burn, Immolate and Conflagrate. My kill sequence was:

D: Immolate
F: Conflagrate
D: Conflagrate - Corporal Hammer revived
F: Immolate - Corporal Hammer dead
F: Immolate
F: Burn
F: Conflagrate - M-37 revived and then dead
F: Immolate
F: dead and swapped in Phoenix Hatchling
P: Conflagrate
P: Burn - Clamp revived
P: Burn - Clamp dead

Note not foolproof, I failed the first attempt but the second went OK with a margin of safety. Good luck!

Three Fel Flames (1,1,1) got this one for me. Keep immolate up. Conflagrate when available. Burn to fill. (Renew immolate if it will kill.)

By all that is holy, do not use lil ragnaros or soul of the forge or any of your usual beatstick elementals in the first two slots. The first pet's move, hammer, will swap your current pet with your second one. So first round your pet takes a hit, gets swapped out. Second pet comes in, gets hit, out comes your first one. Your first two pets will be beaten to death without ever landing a blow. Use elementals faster than 242 in the first two slots. Then get sweet revenge with raggy in the third slot. You'll probably need him. Even with the type advantage those pets hit hard.

Here's a guide to using two pets to help level a third pet. There are a few caveats:

This strategy requires precise timing. A crit at the wrong time by either your team or the opposing team would result in this failing.
The pets for this strategy may be difficult if not impossible to acquire
Hatespark the Tiny can be challenging to acquire if you don't have it, as it is only available on the AH at present.
Molten Corgi is the WoW 10th Anniversary pet. If you didn't get it then, there is no way to obtain it now.

The low level pet has to be level 18+ (no real lowbies for this one!) with at least 1000 HP. The pets most likely to work are Elemental pets, but other pets with a dodge, immunity, or large heal could work too. Beast pets tend to be poor choices as they take extra damage.

Here is the setup you want to run:
Slot 1 - Molten Corgi (2/2/1) : Flamethrower | Cauterize | Puppies of the Flame
Slot 2 - Hatespark the Tiny (2/1/1) : Deep Burn | Conflagrate | Flamethrower
Slot 3 -

Enemy Team Summary
Corporal Hammer : Explode | Hammer
M-37 : Firebomb | Explode
Clamp : Storm Coil | Drill Charge | Clamp

Strategy
As mentioned above, this strategy requires very specific timing. If you notice your team or their team hitting with crits, be aware this may make the strategy not work out. In addition, your "carry" pet should be able to survive a few rounds, and have some abilities to finish off Clamp once your other pets are dead.

I was having terrible luck with some of the strategies above till I came up with this one.

Crazy Carrot 2/2/1
Dark Phoenix Hatchling 1/2/1
Pebble 1/2/1

If Corporal Hammer gets a crit, you may have to restart. Otherwise works everytime.

Open with Blistering Cold, DPH comes in; use Immolate. Carrot is back, hit him with Ironbark. DPH - Conflagrate. Carrot is back to finish the job, give him the old 1, 2 Bark. M-37 is in; Hit him with Blistering Cold, Ironbark then Aged Yold(you die after this). Bring in the Phoenix and Immolate and Conflagrate combo, you both die. Bring in Pebble and Rock Barrage into a Rupture. Spam Stone Shot for the win.

I'm sure it's not well know yet, but this particular trainers pets scale with your own in level. Using all low level pets (preferably level 1) will lock all his pets to level 1. Meaning his first pet will blow himself up right away, the second pet only has access to the stackable DoT and the third will only be able to attack once every 3 turns due to his cooldown. Since their attacks are weak to elementals using 3 level 1 elementals regardless of what they are will pretty much win every time.

2 level 1 Sinister Squashlings.. wont even need the 3rd pet, but any other elementanl will work. The battle scales, so the attacks wont be available for them to use against you.

Blossoming Ancient / Broot with the following moves:

Ironbark

Ironbark from here, using Sunlight on CD and Photosynthesis with one stack left.

This does not ever fail. Very easy!

This is not a great location if you are Horde.... Easiest way is to make a level 1 Gnome.

Fast and reasonably reliable 2-pet strategy:

slot 1: Snaplasher (abilities: Solar Beam---Leech Seed---Stun Seed)
slot 2: Venus (abilities: Poison Lash---Sunlight---Stun Seed)
slot 3: Carry Pet level 16+ (it can take up to 916 (1374) mechanical damage), or level 1 magical pet (about 90% succes chance)

Round 01: switch Carry Pet-------- forced switch to Snaplasher
Round 02: Stun Seed---------- forced switch to Venus
Round 03: Sunlight---------- forced switch to Snaplasher
Round 04: Solar Beam---------- forced switch to Venus, Corporal Hammer stunned, M-37 will come next round
Round 05: Stun Seed
Round 06: Poison Lash
Round 07: Poison Lash--------M-37 stunned, Corporal Hammer will come next round
Round 08: Poison Lash
Round 09: Sunlight--------both M-37 and Corporal Hammer will die
Round 10: Poison Lash------- Venus will die, choose Snaplasher
Round 11: Leech Seed
Round 12: Stun Seed------- skip this round, if Clamp is poisoned
Round 13: Solar Beam
Round 14: Solar Beam end

If Corporal Hammer dies in round 04 because of critical hit from Solar Beam, continue normaly until Venus dies in round 07, then choose Snaplasher and continue from round 11.

Sproutling wasn't used.
Basically...
1. Keep Sunlight up.
2. Keep Photosynthesis up.
3. Ironbark everything else.
You'll wear the opposition down. It'll take around 25 turns, but will happen.

Ashstone Core first: easy strategy, start with Crystal Prison, then Stoneskin and use Burn until death.
Topaz Shale second: Stoneskin, then Burn until death
Phoenix Hatchling third: Immolation, Cauterize on cool-down, Burn away to victory.

This is a reliable two pet strategy. It takes a bit of time, typically just over 20 rounds, but I've never seen it fail. Requirements on the carry are pretty tall, but that's because it's going to have to eat a lot of backline damage.

Blazehound (2,1,x)
Lava Crab (x,2,2) This can be done with other breeds but it's a LOT easier with B/B.
Carry pet. Should be over 900 points, 600 if it's Elemental, don't use a Beast.

B/B Molten Hatchling (x,2,1) is a drop in replacement for the Lava Crab, and a P/S hatchling or a Pandaren Fire Spirit can also be used. In testing I've not seen a problem with the Fire Spirit, but I have seen its health fall lower. I suspect the P/S Hatchling will see this as well.

Rematch team: Environeer Bert:3PM9:2114216:2223D7:ZL:P:900::10::::

Round 1: Retrieve
Round 2: Swap to your Lava Crab
Round 3: Magma Wave
Round 4: Cauterize
Round 5+ Cauterize on cooldown, fill with Magma wave.

Continue this rotation until you've cast Magma Wave just once after Clamp has done his Mechanical rez.

However you need to watch your health, and either delay or avoid Cauterize, to allow your health to ramp down a bit as his health falls. Ideally you should be 400 to 500 to 600 HP at this point. The lower the better, but watch you don't die. Worst case, Clamp can hit you for 392 points if either of his big attacks crit.

At this point, pass until you die. After this:

Round 1: Swap in carry
Round 2: Swap in Blazehound
Round 3+: Obsidian Bite your way to victory.

This is the best I've been able to come up with for a tdScript. If you can improve the management of Cauterize, please do so and post back here.

A lot of RNG in here but this is the basic outline that's worked for me.

Singing Sunflower (Solar Beam, Photosynthesis, Sunlight)
Snaplasher (Solar Beam, Leech Seed, Stun Seed)
Blossoming Ancient (Ironbark, Photosynthesis, Stun Seed)

Corporal Hammer: Key is to have pets that are faster than him. He will force your first and second pets to switch out continuously. If you can't beat him in speed one of the pets will never get a turn.

Singing Sunflower: Keep up Photosynthesis, keep up Sunlight. Cast Solar Beam on CD.
Snaplasher: Leech seed on CD, Stun Seed on CD, and Solar Beam on CD.

Corporal Hammer will die somewhere in here.

Hatespark the Tiny: Casts a stacking dot that applies to active pet. It does only ~55 damage but gets out of hand if the stacks get high (seems to stack up to about 10). Continue to use Sunflower and Snaplasher to burn him down.

Singing Sunflower: keep up Photosynthesis, keep up Sunlight. Cast Solar Beam on CD.
Snaplasher: Leech seed on CD, Stun Seed on CD, and Solar Beam on CD.

Clamp: Nothing special, but you'll have quite a few stacks of the dot from Hatespark. Key is to use Blossoming Ancient + Ironbark to negate the damage. With Ironbark up the 55 damage becomes ~9. Use whatever is left of your Sunflower and Snaplasher first. Get another cast of Sunlight again if possible before your Sunflower dies. This isn't going to be fast, so keep up Photosynthesis for the long haul. Stacks will start to fall off at some point giving you a break.

Blossoming Ancient: Ironbark on CD (first cast, to immediately negate the stacking dot). Keep up Photosynthesis. Stun Seed on CD.

So I didn't do so well with the lvl 1 elemental pets...or the lvl 9 elemental pets. I went back to my lvl 25 elemental pets. Used Singing Sunflower (1-1-2), Blazehound (2-2-2), and Blazing Cindercrawler (1-2-2). As often as I could, I used Sunlight and photosynthesis from the Singing Sunflower and beat him on the first attempt with these pets.

To get there the first time there is a Horde goblin TELEPORTER: Gnomeregan Teleporter to this pet battle in the Grom'gol base, Northern Stranglethorn. It's next to the zep tower. You don't need to die to guards or create a lvl 1 gnome to get to this fight.

You do have to do the janky trick to teleport there using premades though, where you create premade group (puts you in a party), use the teleporter in Grom'gol, then leave party which kicks you out of the instance in 60 seconds, putting you just outside the entrance. The battle is just outside around the corner.

After that you can be teleported by talking to Manapoof in Legion Dalaran's pet shop.

I didn't have a single one of the pets people suggested for this fight so I made my own group:

Fel Flame - 1/2/1
Fel Flame - 1/1/1
Giggling Flame - 1/1/2

My trouble with this fight was the second, and third pets. The second pet hit you with the same spell every time causing a stack of damage spells that hurt any pet that was engaged with it or any other pet after. It caused enough damage to keep killing my pets before I could damage the last two pets enough to win.

So I did this:

Scorched Earth - Enemy pet swaps you for other Fel Flame
Conflagrate - Enemy pet swaps you with other Fel Flame again
Conflagrate - Enemy pet should die & come back.
Immolate - If he doesn't die he swaps you again.
Burn until first pet dies. Fel flame may die here. Swap in other Fel flame.
Scorched Earth - Conflagrate, then Burn until your pet dies or their pet dies.
Giggling Flame - Flame Jet, Conflagrate, Burn until cool down or other pet dies.

I changed up the order on my first attempt and you may have to do the same depending on some factors like if the first pet dies on time or not. Either way, this is a great line-up to use, and a great way to win.

Random pets to try since i'm starting to run out of level 1 elemental pets and to see if it works as well.

Blazing Cindercrawler - help a lot, to save debuff from M-37, only got 3 debuff of firebomb

Blazing Firehawk - recommend to have high attack power/health
Doom Bloom - third pet, can be any elemental to finish up the fight. *it would be the one that level up*

Ashstone Core (2,2,1), Crazy Carrot (2,2,1), and Fel Lasher (1,2,1)

Use Prism on Corporal Hammer (CH) becomes stunned and M37 enters.
Use Stone Skin and then spam Breath until M37 dies twice.
CH enters, use Prism to stun him and then Clamp enters.

Use Breath until Ashstone dies then bring Crazy Carrot.

Use Aged Yoke to remove the dot, ironbark, blistering cold then iron bark 4 times and then Clamp dies.

CH enters, use blistering cold then stun seed when Fel Lasher enters.

Fel Lasher will be swapped for Crazy Carrot again, use iron bark until Crazy Carrot dies.

Then spam lash until CH dies.

9-10 round strategy

Note: All pets in this strategy are Level 25 "rares".

1. Searing Scorchling with: Scorched Earth and Conflagrate.
2. Giggling Flame with: Burn, Flame Jet and Conflagrate.
3. Lil' Ragnaros* with: Sulfuras Smash, Conflagrate and Flamethrower.
*Note: As a "Game Shop" item, Lil' Ragnaros can be replaced with a variety of Elementals. If you do not have it, choose your most powerful Elemental pet with similar abilities.

R1: Scorched Earth
R2: Burn
R3: Conflagrate
R4: Burn; Corporal hammer dies.
R5: Flame Jet
R6: Conflagrate; M-37 dies.
R7+: Burn (until Giggling Flame dies).
Bring in Lil' Ragnaros
R1: Conflagrate
R2+: Sulfuras Smash or Flamethrower (until Clamp dies).

Oof, the level one tactic is a no no. It just did not work for me.

I used Crazy carrot 2/2/1, Harbinger of Flame 2/2/2, Anubisath 1/1/2

and it worked first time.

I found dgnuff's strat to work perfectly. As I didn't care about a leveling pet I shortened the fight significantly.

Blazehound (2,1,x) (used a P/P)
Lava Crab (x,2,2) (mine was a H/H, though dgnuff states that B/B is the best breed for this)
Fel flame (1,2,1) (used a H/S)

Round 1: Retrieve
Round 2: Swap to your Lava Crab
Round 3: Magma Wave
Round 4: Cauterize
Magmawave as filler, cauterize when off CD

When the lavacrab dies swap in Fel Flame, scorched earth and conflagate, burn if possible. Or hit them with any remaining elemental ability and you should win

Because This bosses pets stack with your own, then is is best to take L-1 pets to the fight.

Also it is best to take elemental pets with you because fire attacks are weak against them,

Absolute OP garbage even with level 1 pets. 2nd enemy pet puts multiple stacking dots on ALL pets. Mechanical pets rez after 1st death. Nonsense...

Did the level 1 strat mentioned in top comment, had some issues. Worked wonders with 3x Sinister Squashling! Should work fine with less of them aswell.

Find any pets that also has bonus to mechanical enemies, preferably with direct dmg and not extra effects like "deals X more dmg if target is chilled/burning" as you're unable to apply those status effects.

Here is my problem;, I want to do the pet battle challenge in Gnomeragon, but how do I get to it? I have done the other 3 challenges { Deadmines, Stratholme, and wailing caverns; Manapoof won't send me to gnomer, and Tizzy or Dana Pull have no quest for me? I wanted to do the Blackrock Depths pet challenge but it says I have to complete all the others first, but have no idea on how to get to the pet challenge in Gnomer?

When Phoenix dies get your Stoneskin up on Core and spam Burn
