Make sure that you're right clicking the cure item, don't try using your spells like I did at first!

If you're stupid like me:

Right click the bottle on the table that is sparkling to add magic.

Right click the bottle again to have it show up as a special action button.

Click the sickly NPC and press the special action button.

Do this twice.

There is Untested cure on the table next to Aelthalyste. Click it once to add Holy magic. Click it again to collect the cure. Use extra button onto Roland. Nothing will happen.
Click to Untested cure again to add shadow magic. Collect it and give to npc. Roland will die. But thats not sad, you can ressurect him now. He will be revived with no cure. Profit.

This is the funniest quest of any of the Champions of Legionfall series I've been through so far, on seven toons of different classes.

I never understood why an NPC death is treated as a big deal when there are hundreds, if not thousands of NPCs that should logically be able to use resurrection spells according to their classes. This is why quests like this where you can just resurrect the dead NPC are a nice change of pace.
